Great review. All the talk about Terre d'Hermès reminded me that I have a bottle of Eau Givree that I haven’t worn in quite a while. I think it will be my scent of the day tomorrow.
That ROJA bottle is outrageously good. The scent is beautiful too. Saving mine for a summer cruise 🚢 later in the year.

I love Isola Blu.. that Lime in the opening along with the other citrus notes and that dry down is just top notch you can tell yes it does smell close to Terre d’Hermes but it is a refined version. The oils are well done n mixed to perfection. 💯
If Perseus smells close to that fragrance, I’m definitely gonna like it.

Isola Blu is in a class of its own!
I look forward to trying Perseus while hunting for spring/summer cologne. I hope it goes well on my skin; I love PDM as I owned Layton Exclusif. However, it is hard to get a sample for now since the Beverly Hills PDM boutique said they will have it on March 06 to be available in their store.

I have tdm edt and tdm parfum. Plus own Oligarch(almost gone), Viking Cologne, and just bought Isola Blu a month ago. Maybe because it’s an older bottle but my Oligarch smells like tdm. It opens with more citrus then dries down very close to tdm. The isola blu I just bought (which I am really enjoying) smells like a blend of Oligarch and Burlington 1819 to me. More citrus and less earthy than my Oligarch. Viking Cologne didn’t really remind me much of tdm until now that you mention it.

I just got my Isola Blu today. As soon as I sprayed it on, I thought "This doesn't smell like TD, it smells like Burlington without the cumin"
Might get Persus however Layton is great spring and summer and I have Percival which kills it in the heat not that we get much here in London England lol

Creed is, by design, for the upper classes of society and have no need to adjust themselves to please the masses. I believe they have a variety of fragrances for each taste and i agree it's out of my comfort zone in terms of how much it cost, but definitely no reason for hating...
Perseus is just the clone 1:1 of Hermes eau de Givree at 4 times the price, shame on PdM
Perseus is good. Prominent grapefruit and orange. Realistic. Not blown away though.

I can't wait to try perseus. I just got narcotic delight yesterday and I love it. Pdm,creed,roja uses dam good oil in their fragrance. Read the story about pdm when they realize they had one of the best oil in the country

I agree, before they reformulated all of them. Now I feel they're not worth what they charge. Old pre reform carlisle is my number 1 fragrance. Got the new one, and that opening is just so off putting. Tired of companies putting profits so far above quality.

Try Oaire from Caswell Massey. Bright, refined. I prefer it due to it's slight woodiness over Viking C and Isola Blu.

I love them all! It will all depend on my mood. I'll wear Perseus when it's a bit colder out, but I'll wear Isola Blu in the dead of summer.

The black currant musky description of Perseus sounds like YSL Opium Homme. Is there a similarity to that one?
I can sense only a slight similarity. It's done quite differently here.
I think Creed has hit some home runs with their COLOGNE versions. And PDM has only had one bad drag for me and that’s Kalan.

How would you compare to Basso?
Basso is brighter whereas Perseus is heavier on the woods.
From what you are showing Perseus would be the cheapest option. Viking you are more stuck in the mids where Perseus the opening still pops all the way down IMHO.

Oh, man. I should have included it in the video. Basso has great longevity, and the citrus is sharper than Isola with fewer floral ingredients.
