A blend of tunnels & boxes: We keep our soda cartons, which naturally have perforated flaps on either side & on top, and treat them like legos. We can slide them in one another, connect them in a series of directions with multiple peep-holes at different angles, stuff blankets throughout. The only cost is keeping soda cartons, easy cleanup because they weigh nothing and can be disassembled, flattened & stashed wherever!

This was entertaining. Im always looking for new toys to make or ways to entertain my boy. I flatten plastic water bottles and he just loves them. He gets one in his mouth as soon as i give it to him and scurries away as fast as he can to stash it under the dresser. His own little hidey hole. He absolutely loves the crinkle and popping noise they make.
Yes, they have a thicker undercoat grow in for winter, which is why many ferrets get lighter in colour, as the undercoat is generally lighter and softer than the guard hairs in the top coat. So this is shed in late spring ready for the warmer summer months. They can also get fur balls in their stomach, so it's important to give them a raw egg each week, as this helps push the fur ball through their system 😊
Balls have worked for me a whole bunch! my boy oogie loves to push around red balls when playing. it looks like its glued to his nose! it reminds me of a seal with a beach ball.
Do you fidn that outside enclose you use, they can escape at all? Or is it safe you find. I mean, not that I plan on leaving them unsupervised either way, just curious.
Yes, it's super secure... galvanised steel mesh with 1-inch holes, stapled to timber. Before putting any animals in there I spent several hours trying to poke my fingers through any holes and screwing blocks of wood over danger zones, so there is no chance of anything getting out (or in!)
We buy our 2 toys and they will play will packaging/boxes and stash their food in in haha. They also have 3 of my hoodies that when I try to put on now they arent impressed lol. We discovered MIchiru Loves playing with blankets like its a cat teaser toy haha (its also a pink blanket too). They also have a box macaroni and a box of packing peanuts both of which get them really hyped up with lots of dookies haha.
I'm not sure where you meant as I would not give them cream because ferrets are lactose intolerant. If you mean the white looking treat I give them off my fingers that is salmon paste, a brand called Tubi Frett
Hey.. if you only got them recently, give it time. The blind one will be incredibly unsettled with all the new smells and sounds. Their only defence against the unknown is their teeth...I would move at his/her pace... handle as little as possible at first, but get them used to your smell by feeding treats like salmon oil or paste off your fingers. Over time they'll be more relaxed and should hopefully start coming to you to seek out treats, then you can move to light strokes as they eat the treat from your fingers... Bonding with ferrets can be slow, but if you persist it will be a magical relationship.. good luck!
This is my first time seeing your channel. My question is, what color/pattern is Scruffles called? Because one of mine looks just like him. I think Cinnamon, but I only got my ferrets about a year ago, so I'm still rather new and wasn't sure.
Welcome! :) Scruffles is 'champagne'... I believe cinnamon are a bit darker and leaning into orange where champagne are very much creamy white with slightly darker mask markings if you look real close :) Champagne is a very common colour , so you will see many ferrets that look just like yours :)
Mine got into my 40 lbs back of rice and dug around in it. I honestly wouldnt have minded eating it but i cook for other people and felt they may not appreciate the rice a ferret crawled around in 😂 so i put it in a plastic bin and they are obsessed with it
i have a question, on what age you can start to train your ferret. Mines are 4 months old now and totaly nuts.... in a good way of course 😆. and i tried food... no intressted at all, so how can i start and with what?
You need to find a treat they think of as 'high value' before they turn 6 months old and imprint on certain flavours. So right now I suggest you try as many different treats as possible to fix them on one. (I have a full guide on choosing healthy treats here: ruclips.net/video/FgpcLt6JFJI/видео.html).. At 4 months they are just full of energy and excitement, but if you find a treat that they focus on, in a couple of months you should start to see them calm a little and be able to follow instructions more and more. last week I finally got him integrated with the girls. He's doing great - we all are missing Luffy, but the three of them seem to be bonding well now
