I think there's a misunderstanding here. The show was created by Netflix with Marvel's help (because Marvel owns the rights to the character due to creating him), however the original character Daredevil/Matt Murdock was created in 1964 by Marvel Comics
"Daredevil is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett, with an unspecified amount of input from Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Daredevil #1 (April 1964)."
