Not at all, I've had it last me two days. Even when i drain the battery after a day of sampling it to my friends and curious strangers, changing it is a breeze, just lay it on the charging cradle like you would lay a regular watch on your night stand. With in an hr you have 100% again
I've been using my LG G watch now for a few days and I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I'm definitely gonna keep it even though I will probably buy the moto 360 in a few weeks as well for aesthetic options. I will share three negative points just the sort of balance all of the positive out there and give people a little more information in case they're thinking about buying this thing. Mine is tied to an lg g2 and here are three interesting things to keep in mind. Number one, running that you watch significantly decreases the battery life on the phone itself and causes the phone to run a bit hot at times. I'm going through battery life on the phone somewhere between two and three times faster than normal. Not that big of a deal because I charge it at work and I charge it in the car so hasn't caused a real problem yet. But traveling with it but I don't have options to charge throughout the day may prove problematic. Another thing to consider is that the battery life on the watch itself is not very impressive. If I leave the brightness set to 2 out of 6 and use an active watch face throughout the day I get about 11 hours before the battery is warning me but it will soon be dead. If I do not use a face wash and I leave the display completely off except when it turned on to use the full features then I still have about 30 percent left after 11 hours. There are also some connectivity issues but that's probably more to do with my phone which has connectivity issues in general. That said I really enjoy Android wear and it has already become an integral part of my daily life and activities. Another thing people may want to know is that the mute feature does not mute any kind of sound since the watch is soundless. It is used to turn off all notifications so your watch isn't lighting up when you are at work or something like that. The good news is that when you unmute later all of your notifications that have been waiting push to the watch at once. So you don't miss anything.
Bought mine for $75 and absolutely love it! There are a couple things I would like to be added and changed but I have no serious complaints at all! I did replace the rubber wrist band with a leather one.. I just didn't like the cheap looking rubber one it comes with. but this device is very handy to have. I no longer have to pull my phone out to text, answer calls, or even to change the song while listening to music. I can do everything I need to right from my wrist!
Ok i have the same watch, i got it this morning. it may screw up a bit, mine did, as it wouldnt connect to my phone or the watchfaces wont show this is what i can do to help -Also since this video was releaced there have been a few more updates, you can also -use your wrist to scroll up/ down with a tilt - change font size - accessability - screen lock *Under settings* *Not connecting* Make sure that your watch is entirely updated, Mine works perfect at 5.11 My phone is updated to android Marshmallow Nexus 5 Android OS v 6.0 once fully updated try to connect them both through the bluetooth, sometimes that works Before mine updated it i performed the factory reset Using the app Android Wear, you can sunc your apps to your phone
love the watch. the battery size is huge compared to whats out there. also, the rubber band is perfect for me since i will mainly be using it for running and listening to music.
Thanks for this coverage. My LG G watch in white arrives tomorrow or Tuesday. I know I'm going to want the Moto 360 but I'm like you said.... An early adopter of all things Google and have to be on the bleeding edge of technology. I'm guessing I will probably return or sell this after playing with it for a week or so. But I do prefer the square form factor to round and I prefer a white watches. So maybe it will work for me. Bummer about the outdoor visibility though. That may be a dealbreaker :-(
by the time i'm writing this, here in indonesia LG G watch is one of the cheapest smartwatch around (excluding random chinese brand) in around 110$. And yes, it's cheaper than 1st gen pebble here. newer products aint avalaible here yet unless you're buying it overseas. would you still recommend this?
I just purchased mine for less than $100 dls. Here in the USA. Yes is a good purchase, I'm very happy with it. Is the best most basic smart watch you can get. Is only about a year old, and I paid way less than the half of the actual price.
Hien Tran is actually not bad. I've been using it for about a month and I probably have to charge it every other day. Of course you need to play around with the settings like the screen brightness or "always on" mode and of course how often during the day you play with it. If you buy it for less than $100, I think is worth it!
+Amir Panhwar Try restarting the watch, turning it compleatly off and putting it on charge, or doing a factory reset and try to re-connect it to your phone
im not sure what to suggest, i got mine today, it took a few attempts to keep it connected tomy phone, have you tried to make it look for updates? go into settings > About> system updates *also im not a sir ^_^
Next time let someone who actually understands the point of new tech review new products. This guy just doesn't like the idea and is condemning the product because of it.
hahahah you have little lady wrists. my G watch doesn't cover my wrist. i'm happy with mine, they are all first gen, well samsung is third gen. but i like it and have been using it for 3 days so i'm early but i open apps, send text reply to emails and such. just got an update to play services, so i'm assuming the software is still settling in.
Yo! I would totally love a nuke oven with smart features. Like fully-sensitive weight distribution so that the plate inside will move it to cook the food evenly.
They have had "smart" microwaves since the 1990's. Features such as sensing frozen food cook times and various other food presets are quite convenient.
Every time you said OK Google it opened up on my phone lol
Just bought a G watch for $99 and am pretty Impressed. The responsiveness is better than expected and it pairs great with my LG G3.
Great to hear it. I'm currently awaiting the delivery of my Gwatch. Will definitely be looking forward to pairing it with my G3.

Timothy Shelsea Is it still working one, 4 months later? I just ordered one off of Amazon, and it's supposed to get here on the 11th :)
It sounds like his trying so hard not to like the g watch.

Perfect review! I was wondering if someone calls you can you talk with the watch?
Nope, you can see whos calling, then either swipe to ignore or answer call.
At least in Portland we don't have that much direct sunlight :-)

bostix thanks man! Definitely gonna consider it
bostix Hey there. I'm considering this watch also. How has the battery life been after several updates? Has it slowed down or anything? Thanks.
Hien Tran is actually not bad. I've been using it for about a month and I probably have to charge it every other day. Thanks for the quick reply! Lots of good deals on eBay currently.
Do you need to connect bluetooth to get these funtions works? like google now?
I think it looks nice. I guess I'm not familiar with more expensive stuff, because I thought the wrist band felt nice, not "cheap"...
Just attach a metal band at it looks pretty neat
*maybe you have an error with your Mic, i attempted the ' ok google' and it worked smoothly for me
Either that or the updates
I can no longer watch videos with "OK Google" tests with the OK Google on from any screen 😢
I will wait for the REAL Samsung Android Wear Smartwatch, then I will buy one! great Review Buddy!
What's wrong with the Gear Live?

I think the G Watch looks alot sleeker and anonymous then the hideous Samsung watch.

Lol 512 MB(MegaBits) of ram is equal to 64Mb(MegaBytes) of ram. They're 8 bits in 1 byte.

MB is Megabyte and Mb is megabit. this watch has 512MB of RAM.
