I am here in US . No mention about Indian launch was ever mentioned but Russian launch was in just about every media till it crashed ! That is when suddenly Western media discovered Indian launch “running late” before Russia’s !
Not true. Bloomberg had the news within hours. It even mentioned India's success and Russian failure in the title itself. Most news channels have this kind of int'l news (including Russia), just a few mins. Later on that day, CNN, MSNBC all had covered it. If you missed it, it doesn't mean they didn't cover.

India has to start investing heavily on R&D. Whatever said and done, India's patent filing when compared with China is abysmal. It is 25:1 in ratio in favor of China. China is filing patents 25 times more than India. Think about the investment made by China to achieve this.
India cannot and should allow this ratio to widen. We need to cover the gap, start investing more on R&D and file patents in the cutting edge fields of science and Technology. Only then these foul mouthed hate mongers can be contained and silenced!!!
