I finished the 6th HP book in a 3 hour train journey and thats a little over 600 pages. the more books you read, the more your reading speed increases. but your right, it's difficult for some people. my brother reads a page every night and exhausts himself or his patience ends I dunno :D
600 pages would be at least a month for me. But reading that much I can't imagine in the first place, so it's more likely that 600 would be impossible for me.
My own father is much like Jay, I know he loves me and would do anything for me but he's just from that era where men didn't express themselves or said I love you.
After that he says “nobody keeps me on edge for 500 pages and then decides they’re just done writing. Either end the damn story or don’t even write it”
(Door slam!) "I hate the world & the world hates me! A fat woman boheamothed her way into the shoe store! She said she wanted something to make her feet look small. I said 'Try your ass!'" I miss those days...
"You havent called me 'missy' and Im not crying so that's good"😂 i will never tell my dad how much he hurt me calling me f****t or 'buttboy'. He won't be able to handle it.
I think that was his mother. Before she left Jay, I think she was probably a tightly wound, waspish woman. Then she left Jay and went off on her own spiritual awakening journey. So the woman so well played by Shelly Long is a crazy mix of hippie who dates Ed Begely Jr and critical crazy who assaults Gloria and buys Cam an exercise bike.
i think growing up with his father refusing to show affection or emotion towards him plays a big part. he never got the chance to let loose and enjoy life because of his trauma with bullies and his dad growing up and it made it a habit to be uptight and unsure of everything and overthink everything before he does it because he had to grow up keeping a big secret from the world and then suffering because of it
It was not just about getting closer but about Mitch needing it (to prove something to Cam I think), plus him getting to experience something he didn't in his childhood. The conversation itself was them getting closer, and the whole day in fact; playing catch was just the icing on the cake.
Different era, different humor. Both times great actor. Although I love modern family, nothing can top the Polk high legend that once scored 4 touchdowns in one game … unfortunately, that humor isn’t allowed on tv anymore.
I was so happy to see it being renewed for two more seasons. modern family makes my mood every single time ni matter how sad I am. I love phil'sophy
Arati Bagal and 2 yrs later it’s ending ☹️. I fu**ing hate having to mourn these shows lol once they are over they are over.
They both read a 500 page book in one night!?! Even Evelyn Wood would be impressed.
It's not that hard, actually. If you really invest yourself in the book and nothing else, you can easily finish 500 pages in one day.

It is the easiest thing I’ve ever heard of okay
Whose Evelyn Wood?
A talk like this is what I needed the whole show until then especially with the throwing bit at the end
“Running from your family, that’s me”
Loved this scene, both finding common ground 🥰
everytime I see Ed O' Neil I just see al bundy the legend
Same
Did you know he scored four touchdowns in one game
Love and marriage
@@andressotil4671 omg, the Polk high legend? Is that him?
For me it’s the other way around every time I see Al bundy I think it’s Jay
One of my all time faves!
Loved these last two episodes. Hope they step it up in Season 9.
Oh they will this show is amazing
Charles Delos Santos season 9 is boring.
Aww, that was nice at the end.
2:03 this is me throwing🤣🤣🤣
i love this show! lol but how is it here that Jay knows how to throw but when he was teaching Joe he struggles and is always like "son of a...." xD
i think he knows how to but he cant do it because of his age
My own father is much like Jay, I know he loves me and would do anything for me but he's just from that era where men didn't express themselves or said I love you.
My dad’s the same way. I found saying I love you ever time I left his house or ended a phone call with him changed everything about our relationship
@seanmcconnell9276 it really just is a man thing, as outdated as that sounds but it's true.
I just watched this episode a couple weeks ago!
i love the modern family seens there were young
Off with the pants SPLASH
Thier Great at Making all 11 different characters all having interesting 1 on 1 dianamics
That location is the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, isn't it?
No but it is The Double Tree in Cleveland , Ohio #AkronOhio Go Cavs & Pens again!! #Back2Back
Aw, he wanted to play catch with his dad!
Father son relationships are funny lol
Can anyone tell me which word Jay says after "nobody keeps......for 400 pages" Please...learning purposes
After that he says “nobody keeps me on edge for 500 pages and then decides they’re just done writing. Either end the damn story or don’t even write it”
Jay: Thats not bad
Mitchell: Nope...wasnt good
The subtle meaning...😢
The books was called 'Diamond Lake' and here is some books with that title but not even close to 400 pages
...because that's obviosly not that book, just a fictional one for a show
(Door slam!) "I hate the world & the world hates me! A fat woman boheamothed her way into the shoe store! She said she wanted something to make her feet look small. I said 'Try your ass!'" I miss those days...
Nice

What makes Mitchell uptight on modern family just asking
What??

Perhaps the dinosaur that fathered him
Niceeee
Always with the catch, it's almost like it is the only activity a father and a son can do to get closer to each other 😂
How about some creativity 😂

My nephew once sat down to pee, what? Im supposed to let that go?
What happened...
tbis sucks. married w children he was 10000x better.
That is not an opinion... that is a FACT!
No way
Modern family sucks? Are you watching the same show as the rest of us?

Both shows are great
“Running from your family, that’s me.”
That's me.
