Golf journalist James Mason from www.planetgolfreview.com planetgolfreview.co.uk and www.sportsjournalist.info tests and reviews the Cleveland CBX2 Wedge System
These are great wedges. I use the 48 as a pitch wedge and the 54 for everything else. Don't agree I need anymore than that. These clubs might have a lot of help at the back but I can easily open and lower the 54 to get a 58+ Highly recommended to try these.
Hi James. Did you try these out of a bunker or with flop shots? Just wondering does the cavity back make this more difficult to do. I like to open the face for these shots but worried the back is too big to do it
Hey Peter Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and yes I did play bunkers shots from various distances unfortunately not when I had the camera to show during the video review. I had no problem playing shots from them and like you I also open the face, my only proviso on that would be I didn't test them from wet sand or from bunkers that only had a thin layer of sand, I think no matter what wedges you use in those situations its all down to feel and the lap of the gods. James
@@planetgolfreview Thanks James. No problem at all. I am going for a fitting next week and will look at these for my wedges. they really look excellent. I watched your review of the Hot Metal irons as well. Looks like Mizuno have really excelled with the JPX line this year. I may walk out with a full bag of Mizuno after this fitting! I play off 11 and the HM Pro really look the business. thanks for the reply!
