Chris! This was awesome my man. Thanks so much for jumping on this and you did a killer job and I'd agree with everything you selected. I appreciated the deep cuts too that not a lot of people show (Triumvirat, Frumpy, Strawbs). Strawbs are fun and you're right where you should be with Hero and Heroine. Grave New World, Bursting at the Seams, and Ghosts would be the others in that era that are realy, really strong. I absolutely love Wet Dream from Rick.. there are times that is my favorite floyd solo release. Great job and thanks again for jumping on it.. I've saved your video on my playlists with the others!

Hi Chris - Excellent choices. I love that Supertramp record. I almost mentioned the Alan Parsons Project, and Kansas too!

I almost mentioned Kansas for the Non-UK Band question but decided to go with a German band instead and save Kansas for a different question! Thanks for watching Brian.

Great tag video Chris! I learned that I’m a bigger fan of prog than I thought myself to be. You picked a lot of great albums. Yes. Rush. Jethro Tull. Pink Floyd. And ELO is one of my favorite bands. Progressive Pop is a great way to describe them in ElDorado. Also, I want to work on adding some Alan Parsons Project to my collection.

ELO is amazing! They just make me feel warm and happy inside. I guess you are coming around on Prog, Brad. It is an acquired taste!

Great answers there Chris. Some cool albums you picked like 2112 and the Division Bell. A good selection of bands as well that show how varied prog music actually is.

Prog really is varied Grant, I agree. Different but same, I guess, haha. Thanks a lot for watching!

Excellent list! I’m very familiar with most of these. I’ll have to check out that Sigur Ros album as I don’t know it at all. Also very interesting pick with Discovery. I like that album but I’m not sure if it ranks in my Top 5 for ELO. Thanks for weighing in though! It’s always interesting to hear other people’s’ faves. Cheers!

Hi Chris , great video , the first 4 Triumvirate albums are excellent as mentioned very much in the mould of ELP , Trace from the Netherlands would be worth a try as a next stop .

I never really thought of the Beatles as prog, but that makes sense with A Day In The Life. I'm not much of a prog listener, outside of Floyd, King Crimson and Jethro Tull, so you gave me a few things to consider in this video, like Yes and Babe Ruth. Thanks!

I think that Babe Ruth album isn’t too hard to find- I’ve seen it around. The vocals take a bit of getting used to but I really like the album. And yeah, I wouldn’t consider Beatles a Prog band either but they certainly were Progressive in the music they made.

Lots of great picks here Chris, and a great running narative that you put together.
The Beatles invented prog in many ways. Greg Lake said that ELP were really just expanding on the ideas that the Beatles created with things like Strawberry Fields, Eleanor Rigby, A Day In The Life, etc.
I believe Richard Wright IS on Endless River. The album was constructed around outakes from Division Bell if I recall correctly.
One last thing. How did you do 20 prog albums and not a single one by my fav band of all time, Emerson, Lake & Palmer?

You are absolutely right about Endless River and Richard Wright. I meant to mention that but forgot after I got the names mixed up. And I know, I know- I left out some Prog monsters with this one- no ELP, no Genesis, and no King Crimson. I chose some deep cuts instead, to stand out!
