    Slight note on the variety category: while 7days has variety in behaviour, PZ wins on visual variety. Even in a horde of 200 zombies you will have a hard time finding 2 zombies that look identical, while in 7 days it's not rare to fight 10 absolutely identical looking construction worker zombies.

      That's true! I didn't consider visual variety, Zomboid does this better for sure

    Thing is about PZ is just how realistic and immersive zombie survival really is. Zombies dont cheat, they just... wander. If you get spotted, they'll give you a chase until you loose them or kill them. Their numbers and the fact they dont tire unlike the player does makes them a threat if not managed properly. Something many games really dont pay attention to. Intelligent zombies are kinda immersion breaking

    • @Mauvasa

      They're more realistic for sure and a huge challenge in large numbers!

    Im just going to say that if you turn on sprinters in PZ, they are faster compared to 7 days. As well as you tire out faster in PZ than you do in 7days and it is much harder to recover stamina mid fight in PZ, where as in 7days you can kinda jump up on something and regen it.

    A quick correction: at 5:20 you mention that the zombies in project zomboid can see you through walls, which isn't true. In project zomboid, if you're being chased by a zombie and you get out of it's sight and hide behind a building, the zombie will go to the place where it last saw you and sometimes walk around a little bit afterwards to try to spot you again.
    TL;DR: Project Zomboid zombies can't see you through walls, but they can remember you through walls.

    in 7DTD when you can get on your feet get yourself some nice horde base and weapon. game mode will change from zombie survival into zombie shooting game also dead in 7DTD is not really big deal coz you not lose all your character progress. but in PZ no matter how good your char and gears are your progress and everything you for work for can finish with one single bite form behind.

    Both games are fun for different reasons for people that enjoys zombie survival games.
    I also must say circlejerk/fanboy-ism around PZ is the funniest shit. People trying to shit on 7DTD for having special zombies/being unrealistic (as if zombies are real) while PZ zombies can bite through bullet proof vests and can break plastered walls by headbutting it.

    Project zomboid and 7 days are really diffrent.project zomboid is unforgiving and realistic and 7 days focus more on quest and horde night I have over 2000 in 7 days and think project zomboid is better because 7 days is more focus around 2 things after you done them you don’t have much to do building in 7 days is bad because there are I think over 3000 decorative blocks and the player can have 100 or so.Zomboid has the most action in the first 1-3 weeks and after it your goal is only to survive and not much more atleast you can build many things in zomboid and find cool decorations across the map

  • @Leafwink
    @Leafwink 10 месяцев назад +1

    With the speed issue, you can always change the speed settings in both games. In PZ you can have runners which are the most deadly zombies you can deal with.
    For the strength there are types of weapons that have a chance of a one shot kill like a pen or knife. In 7DTD you can craft your stuff but you will most likely find better weapons before you are able to craft anything due to the new magazines update. Also fall damage in PZ if high enough can cripple the zombies and damage them, might not be enough for the player to notice unless they have the zombie health bar mod up.
    With the numbers, 7DTD zombie count is very low. This is a downside during their blood moon events as it never feels like you are being overwhelmed. PZ is where it is at with seeing the scale a zombie outbreak in this level is really about.
    Zombie Awareness. 7DTD zombies also have hidden triggers when you are going through a house or base. If you cross that, even when hidden, you will trigger the zombies to go after you. I tested this by going around the triggers and nothing happened with the zombies.
    With the variety I think something was missed. Yes there are special infected in 7DTD but they all look the same. You have twins, triplets, and even 12 clones chasing you. In PZ you have different types of zombies that wasn't mention. You have your meta event zombies like cops and robbers, firefighters, survivor zombies, and even the zombie player if you make a new character in the world you last died in. There are different types of zombies that just got over looked.
    With the behaviour 7DTD zombies do not just move from place to place on their own. They just got of spawn in and stay within that area until they are killed or despawn. You do have your horde events but I notice that they spawn, walk past your location, and camp out doing nothing. PZ zombies do move around and they move around a lot. You can clear the area but it is only a matter of time before more find your location by pure luck.
    In the end, I do think PZ zombies are the clear winner. The strongest factor is how real they are compared to 7DTD. In 7DTD even in the harder settings the zombies are not the real threat unless you get unlucky with a dog horde spawn next to you while gathering wood. Even at night you can just sit in your base and wait for it too pass.

  • @craftiebrown
    @craftiebrown 9 месяцев назад

    Something I'll say is that in 7D2D, zombies will actively destroy a building you're in if they know you're there and can't get to you. In PZ, you can defy physics and have a floating wooden floor base with a 1x1 room to hide in for a few seconds before they lose interest. Build a base on a roof with a farm and some rain collectors and you've effectively entered "no point in playing anymore" territory even when zombies know you're there. The thousands of PZ zombies can be effectively neutralized because of 1 missing block, where 7D2D Z's will rip down a skyscraper if they have to. I love both games, and agree with all of the ratings. 7D2D zombie have WAY better AI, but the immersion of PZ is pretty much unmatched in the entire gaming world, even outside of the genre.

    7 days to die: I mastered that pretty well. I could have them all on running if i wanted to. Even the special one's aren't much to me. Demos I just sweep the legs. The zombie bears are worse in a way. The mountain lions are scary. Yet a few minutes in the game i can probably take on most things with a spear now or bow. The limits of how many that will spawn in a location even in a single building. The reasons you die in that game is lack of stamina in melee or just zero bullets. You best chance is a high point that building blocks and "nerd poling" some where they can't get to until you get the stamina back.
    Project Zomboid: no tutorial? Nope you missed it. Gives some information. Yet nothing as important as what key is trapped by W and 1. The welcoming button to "this is how you died.".
    weapons break fast even the easy to make ones. Repairs well got to find the stuff to do that. By then you got 10 following you. Better be careful.. okay then use my wits and use old MMORPG skills (agro range and kiting) problem not too bad until oops. Well after hours of being careful. I get a few things to take on a 10 pack. If some luck I can have what I need. If you go from 7day to PZ and find a gun and bullet. Well one shot might be why you die. If you don't have the right traits. HA fun to watch other.
    If I was dealing with a zombie apocalypse of these two game type settings as my self and my home location. I much rather deal with which one. Well 7 day's. They aren't as relentless unless the 7th day i can have digged my way to being safe. Then come out when it's not so bad.

      You rather have to deal with zombies on roids at night which come to you in bigger and bigger waves each 7 days rather then some big wave of zombies? ... psst right. You do realize that 1 zombie being able to break down blocks would tear you apart with just one punch or just few? not to mention the ferals/radiated zombies. Stop meat riding pz and realize the fact that 7d2d might not be as punishing, but it sure has stronger/scarier zombies, especially on harder difficulty with would realisticlly be warrior.

    are you on crack? there absolutely IS A TUTORIAL on PZ. even has some easter eggs, that drops hints that the outbreak started with tainted Spiffo Meat, if oyu use debug mode for the tutorial, and clip through the one area you can't enter normally, with a giant Siffo mural and a bunch of monitoring cameras, almost as if the tutorial was a planned experiment. and the tutorial is "beatable" if you can manage to beat all 500 zombies with the very little loot you have access too. make a few crawlers, and let them beat down a few of the metal fences, so you get a few extra metal bars and pipes to help down the road too that 500 kill count. typically takes 3-4 hrs though.

  • @paulsoaresjr12345678
    @paulsoaresjr12345678 10 месяцев назад

    Error, zombies in 7 days to die are way more powerful, but it depends on what you do and how you do it. A radiated feral zombie cop can take 1-2 full loads of pistol ammo to take down. And if you are taking your time it will heal, in addition it really depends on what difficulty you are playing and what weapons you are using, if you are more in to building then the weapon you have will not be that high or good, It takes time and effort and skill to find something good, buyting a weapon from the trader cost a lot of duke and if you don't know what you are doing you might actually buy something that is worse. Also 7 days to die has a lot of electrical traps, from darts, spinning blades, spikes, turrets, fall damage, electrical fences and so on. You literally can do a playthrough were you focus on building best possible base and doing very little looting.
    Over all the comparison is done very badly I played both games have thousand of hours in 7 days to die and close to a thousand hours in project zomboid. I will tell you this, this vidoe was very badly done. Like only 1 part was done well and that is the zombie number comparison were the score actually fits and make sence. But everything else badly ranked, badly scored and over all all of it would be in 7 days to die hand. Like 7 days to die wins everything beside the number of zombie limit. And if you want to go in to detail then that would require a actual video to show it off. Project zomboid is a similar game to 7 days to die, but it has a couple issues. 1 being the zombie types, it only has in reality 1 time of zombie. Be it walking or crawling it doesn't change much. There damage, strenght, difficulty is the same. Project zomboid is focused on MASSIVE NUMBERS, that the player needs to fight, run away or avoid. Like the game is not hard if you know what you are doing and if you have like 2-3 friends (I am so happy they made it multiplayer) then the game becomes super easy. Were 7 days to die be is a game were no matter what you do, you need to be carefull, yes you can make afk hord night bases, you can chease your way true bases and getting loot and doing the quest. But over all if you play the game with the intention of not trying to find some sort of bug or exploit then you will find that it is really hard. Especially when you make the zombies harder and stronger. Then we also must look at the update rate and content that is being added to the games. In this spot yet again for me at least 7 days to die takes number one spot. Every almost half a year to a year you come back to the game that has a update with all kinds of new stuff to play around with. Were the project zomboid it is almost the exact same thing that never really changes that much.
    If I had to give a base score putting everything together, then 7 days to die would be a strong 7-8 points out of 10. Were project zomboid would be a 6-7 out of 10. Granted again these games are amazing, for the price you can get them and hours you can play them they are both a easy buy for almost any person. Both games take time to learn and are amazing to play with friends.
    7 days to die is harder game that makes surviving harder in almost every sence of the way (you can pick how hard you want and play with the class you pick). Were project zombied in reality has 1 main goal that is to survive while avoiding the massive hords and taking your time cleaning everything out (yes you can add the spawning zombies, so that over time the number of zombie grow and doesn't fall down to 0, but again that is for the player decision). I will also add this project zomboid also made it so that food and water are actually very hard to find, get at the start. Were in 7 days to die if you just loot some houses and do some hungting then at least the food part will not be that bad.

      @@Leafwink I did mention that was the only point were project zomboid wins over 7dtd. And what you expect, one game is 2D and the other one is 3D were everything in the world from the ground to the buildings can be destroyed. Again both games are amazing, but we need to compare everything over all. And if you take just zombies then sorry, over the thousand of hours of playing that game I saw players die constantly in 7dtd be it new or veteran players. Also let's be honest when you die in project zomboid you don't really feel fair or horror. It is just dying on the idea that well my charachter and his skill are gone. Similar to the 7 days to die being on world deletion when you die. I am a fan of zombie, horror, survival games and 7DTD is one of the few gems out there were zombies are actually terrifying. Yes you can cheese the hords with afk bases and bla bla bla. But when I am doing the top tear buildings, even with full gear I need to be carefull of how I take it, because 2-3 hits and I will be gone (Again playing on the hardest difficulty). Sadly there is nothing really out there that beats 7 days to die. So far they got the best zombies it is getting close to the point of dying light idea were the zombies are terrifying during the night time. If only if only we could have hords of 200-1000 zombies or the possibility of that many zombies being active at the same time, then man would that become a jump in difficulty. Were you literally can see a wave of zombies comming, sprinting, jumping, crawling.... add the green radiated ones on top of that, with some screamers and animals xD AND YOU GOT DEAD SPACE TERROR level ahahaahhahaa
