@saraortiz7818 ill be the one to say it to Eric Adam's put all these bums sitting around to work. Don't care what it is everyone in society should have an agenda every morning besides sitting around.
This is actually my old neighborhood. Concourse and Burnside. Left in 1996. It's just how I remember it, except the new buildings. It was bad then, and I'm sure it's just as bad now, if not worse. I still have some friends that still live in the area there. Living in the city, you learn to grow up real fast, especially in these types of areas. Some things a child should not have to witness. The building next door was notorious. It is where Clarence Heatley The Preacher aka black hand of death would commit most of his executions in the basement. I vividly remember when the building was raided in 1995. Much love to the good people of the Bx. Alot of good people trapped in the system. I wish I was able to get my parents out, but they too stuck to their ways and the city system.
I was born in the state of Louisiana and moved to Long Island NY in 1965 and moved to another state in 2017 but I have never been to the Bronx and I appreciate you for the walk through the Bronc areas and I didn't have to leave my apartment LoL...❤😂❤😂
Peace and blessings Camera Man. Thank you so much for your services. Eould you please consider slowing down when turning the camera and show the names of the streets and Avenues slowly, please. When you turn it the camera quickly, it hurts my eyes. I'm a subscriber and is very grateful for your showing NY. I will become a supporter in shaa ALLAH (if it's GOD'S Will). Its my intention.
I love the Bx that's my hometown ❤️ I'm surprised they built that luxury building on Burnside & the grand concourse. I haven't been there in years looks nice.
I have not been to the Bronx since August 15, 2015 and I’m right around the corner in queens. I would never step a foot back in the Bronx is nobody out there for me.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
They had to establish a very discreet mini Burnside Ave . police station on the train station many yrs ago. Burnside Ave was a big joke during the 1970s - 80s ''BRONX IS BURNING '' era. The school children joke was, ''they call it Burnside because they burned down this whole side of the Bronx''. The notorious drug gang movie ''BRONX WARS'' was partially filmed in the bar on the corner of Jerome and Burnside about 1990. Burnside and Jerome was ''very funky and very dangerous'' !!! Funky means nasty smelling. It's not much better in 2024.
There used to be a good Cuban sandwich spot over there. Me and my ex used to go there all the time in the 90’s. Nice Cuban sandwich for like $6.00. I think it was on southern boulevard. If I remember.
Wow… not much difference.. my mom lived at 2050 Anthony until 1999.. that corner wig store used to be a Bodega / number spot… There was a Associate Supermarket on Burnside going towards Jerome.. my mom was pushed to the ground and all these lowlifes took her groceries.. I see it hasn’t changed.. It’s like a inheritance..
Grew up in the Bronx will always have a place but thank God I'm out of there.
Grew up on Creston and Burnside!! I feel the same way too.
Amen.
Burnside and Grand Concourse 90s so you know I know.
I swear women work more than men ,All these guys sitting around while I see women coming & going to work I applaud 👏🏽 you
counter point - theyre hiring women more to pay less and guys are spending longer looking for work that actually wants to pay someone
@madewithloveduh that's the most laziest comment I ever heard no excuses Im a man out here taking the tackles in NYC & I make it happen no excuses.
Pay them to clean the streets… it will be a insult to them ..

Thank you for that. I applaud you for going to work and getting yours.

They can build new buildings, plant trees.. It’s up to the people.. it’s a choice!
The Bronx is not a real place it’s soooo dirty and it’s sad. We see way too much negative energy fr fr
Looks like Latin America.
It basically is
I used to hang out Burnside Avenue in the 80s🎉🎉🎉

Bronx nasty you can end up in places where only the ambulance 🚑 can bring you out
Rats 🐀 are heavy in the bx😮
Does The Bronx have more rats than Brooklyn ? And how about BX and Manhattan ?
Gotta know your way around , that way you check out all the spots. 🤩 Mike in Denver
I love the Bx that's my hometown ❤️ I'm surprised they built that luxury building on Burnside & the grand concourse. I haven't been there in years looks nice.
That's no luxury building. It's housing for people with HIV.
This really brought me back for real
Welcome back. The borough missed you.

Its like walking inside a giant trash bin
And grave yard
Wretchedness. And a lot of unemployed men?
I live in the Northeast Bronx and I lived in all 5 boroughs. The Bronx is my favorite. You just need to know where to avoid.
Grew up in Burnside and Creston Avenue!!

It was that long. IT was near the start of the video.

I'm curious if your mom had steak or chicken in her grocery bags. Did she?
Interesting place.
My Neighborhood. I currently live here.
