Thanks mate! Using the vid I managed to replace rubbish stock display in my Ideapad 330-15ICH in 15 minutes. No issues whatsoever, new panel works like a charm. Viewing angles and color coverage are finally acceptable!
What unit of lcd did you use?
@@djlf9543 After checking the specs of numerous panels (you can use panelook.com) I ended up buying B156HAN01.2 panel. I found it as the best compromise between viewing angles and color accuracy (at least looking purely at datasheet numbers).

I just followed your guide to replace the screen of an Ideapd 330 15-ARR. Everything went perfectly, thanks. For those wondering I actually upgraded to a 1920x1080 screen instead of a screen of the same resolution that the laptop came with 1366x768 & it actually works.

@@msi715 i installed a glossy 30 pin from a company called require it ltd in ipswich england....their screens are the best out there full ips legit screens.i have a matte version here brand new its the one i took out of the laptop when bought new couple months ago to replace with glossy....i could sell you it pretty cheap.its unused there is zero time use on it

You can actually change the screen without dismounting the bottom of the laptop, just taking out the frame and clicking it back when the screen is replaced (just by taking out 4 screws)
No! It's not possible due to the locking mechanism of the rounded bottom part of the screen which Lenovo uses. This thing alone prevents us from replacing the screen without dismounting the bottom. I think Lenovo did this with purpose so that it breaks easily since it has more points of failure and what you can expect from a Chinese brand!!!
You just need to take the bezel off and undo the 4 small screws

wouldnt it be easier to remove the plastic bezel around the screen, then unplug the screen from the bottom right pin connector then insert the new screen that way? it would save removing the bottom base cover?
EDIT- bro, seriously you have just made a simple job into a bigger job!! just undo the screen bezel and unclip the 30pin connector, remove screen then insert 30pin back into the new screen and it will take you 5 mins!!!

ok ill admit i was wrong here.....you do need to do it this way in the video as there is no way to slide the hinge cover off...tghis video is correct!

I removed everything and cables but kept the back cover on and just removed the bezel from the front and removed the screen that way. It was a little faster
