Yes they are. I am so glad we invested in them. We had to do something because the lids on the 5 gallon buckets were starting to crack. Ok good, going to check it out. 👍
Where can I find those containers, they’re awesome 👏👏 and so is your prepped room. Does it need to be a certain temperature in there
@@roseregalado6698 Thabi you Rose. The ideal temperature for long term food storage should be 75 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. Check out Part 2 of my Pantry Tour. I placed the links in the description. 😊
What are the name of those white buckets that are on the shelves? I would like to purchase a few
Hello @jan cjs. Those are called Gamma Vaults. I got them from Amazon. There’s a link in my Pantry Makeover Part 2 video. The top ones hold 40 pounds and the bottom ones hold 60 pounds. However, I was able to fit way more than that.
I do not have the money to set up the situation or the room in my very old farmhouse. I do the best I can. If I could I’d have your pepper pantry in my house.
And that is the key my dear. You hit the nail right on the head. Doing what we can with what we have is the key.

Using box cake mixes taste more like homemade.
Buy cake flour it has all the rising ingredients, add 2 to 3 table spoons into your cake mix. Try 2 table spoons in a batch of cup cakes see what you think it will be denser. Next time try 3 then you have your preference.

Cake flour is just AP flour.
1 Cup AP flour, take out 2 Tablespoon and replace with 2 tablespoon of cornstarch.

What size shelving are you using or if you know the link for the black shelving ?? I like you can get 4 across of the slanted gamma lid containers .I have 4 of them and want to get more.
I got them from Amazon. The link I’m including here is for the shelves I have to the left and right side of the pantry.

Have you ever checked your grains or nuts after a year or 2? Some of the flours, rices and ALL of the nuts have gone rancid, despite being completely sealed & stored in a dark place. 😕
Oh noooo. Sorry to hear that. We haven’t had any issues but prior to moving to our homestead, all grains and flours were stored Mylar bags with oxygen absorbers in 5 gallon buckets. And they were good when we open them. But I will be keeping an eye. Hope you have been able to replaced yourself.

Because I am married to a musician and that’s what he picked 😩😩😩😩 trust and believe, that was NOT my choice. Got to pick my battles 🤣🤣🤣

Hello Summer Rose. The bottom at the 60 pound gammas vaults and the top ones are 40 pounds. They hold way more than that.

Where did you get the buckets with gamma lids
Hi Stephen. I hot them from Amazon. They were the cheapest option available. My local pet stores, Lowes and HomeDepot were sold out. But check them first because they tend to be cheaper than Amazon.

@@vodaredhill1704 Thank you. We are ok though. We are a pack on our street. A doctor, a handyman, a baker, a seamstress/teacher, an electrician, and me. We prep together and protect out street together.

@@vodaredhill1704 Build a network. Convince them first to start prepping, don’t show them anything. But once they set and prepping, you all hold a meeting. We do a monthly meeting. If someone knows where so thing is cheaper they tell the group, etc

@@TheMixingBowlHomestead I guess the real test will be if the situation arises that your heart will be able to share with the needy. And it could be many. It is good to prepare but also remember to prepare your heart.
@@annerieherbst6211 Yes ma’am. We do that already. We also have a food pantry and a clothing closet at our church and my hubby teaches free music lessons (for children) to keep them off the streets. We have much more planned but waiting on the Lord. Thanks for watching.
