If Clemson had any form of consistency on offense with that defense they have they would be a dangerous team. Their offense looks sandlot with some plays being well designed and executed while others look like sandlot ball. Their QB seems to be talented but also doesn't seem to know where his receivers are on the field. Saw several wide open that he missed and then when he did hit them they dropped the ball. Position coaching is important.

the addition of Matt luke will greatly help Klubnik this year. The o line will be coached greatly for the first time in 5 years

The scoop six is a good example of why you keep going until you hear the whistle. Barnes was unsure and the o-turned-d didn’t pursue.
Clemson has a barely functional passing game and in the last month beat 2 ranked teams, won at South Carolina, and trounced a Georgia Tech team that played well in the 2nd half of season.
Their top 3 receivers are hurt
One of the best defenses in the FBS will get you that. Even our losses have been close with 2 of them going into OT and that Duke blowout being largely due to turnovers.
They'd be 10-2 easily if they didn't have fumbleitis for the first 8 games of the year.

I can't tell if Clemson's defense is really good, or South Carolina's offense is just terrible.
Clemson's Defense is REALLY GOOD! As Dabo Swinney has said, of the Defense "They've played well enough for us to be undefeated!" All of Clemson's losses have been due to turnovers by the Offense!

The lone gamecocks touchdown has a very obvious missed holding call right up the middle
Defensive game totally. Not much offense to speak of on both sides. Clemson didn't score one touchdown with their offensive unit during the whole game. Yes, their field goal kicker performed above and beyond more than all season, but no offensive touchdown at all in this game.
Georgia didn't score an offensive TD in '21 against Clemson, and they won their game as well. They won on a pick and FG.
Clemson was given their td on a incomplete pass. The refs won this game for clemson ... as usual though.

The first play was crazy
Bold PRediction- Clemson gets ATLEAST to the Semis of the CFP next year and Cade Klubnik is a finalist for the Maxwell/ Heisman Trophy.
If Cade can read defenses better, I think that a good season for him could be possible.
I was way up high in Willy B. listening to the Gamecock fans around me talking about how their NEXT drive was going to be one. They were pulling so hard for IT to happen. So close but not able to catch up. It just never happened. It was sweet to see us keep kicking FGs to stay ahead. That first play was a great start. Go Tigers!!!

At least Clemson's O line gave Cade time, he did not use it very well, but Carolinas O line gave Rattler nothing; he spent the entire night running for his life! No O line, No winning Elite College football games! Not going to happen! Go Tigers!

South Carolina's offense went right down the field and scored on their third drive and looked good doing it. Twelve plays, 5:37 off the clock, 81 yards.
Their other 11 drives netted 88 total yards, an interception, a dropped backwards pass returned for a Clemson TD, a turnover on downs, seven first downs, 16:23 of possession (compared to Clemson's 38:00) and zero points.
That's the kind of offense a powerhouse women's basketball program can buy you!

Rattler threw the lateral that ended in the Clemson TD. No whistle and 2 refs around him. Certainly he had a clue that the ball was live and let the guy walk right past him.
How did SC win 5 games
3 of the wins were Jacksonville State, Furman, and Vanderbilt. They really only won 2 actual games

Clemson won the game with their good defensive plays.Image if Clemson had to play,Goergia,florida,Mizzouri,LSU, Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn ,Texas A&M,Alabama,Arkansas, Mississippi, Mississippi state or combanations of schedules with some of these every year.I know Clemson plays FSU,Miami,Notre Dame,and North Carolina every year.
Your point is lost when you overlooked Clemson holding USC to its lowest point total of the season. USC scored 14 on UGA and 12 on UMO. Honestly, if the holding call wasn't missed, USC may not have scored. Yes, Clemson's defense is very good 👍.

How is there not a holding call on that backward pass return. The receiver is literally being held by the ankle from making the tackle.
He was the intended receiver, legally they could have tackled him.

I was very concerned for South Carolina both Defense and Offense in the 2nd 3rd and 4th quarter because clock was running fast on the Gamecocks! I wasn’t happy with the Gamecocks but Congratulations to the Tigers! I hope South Carolina will win next year in 2024 at Clemson and in Columbia in 2025 for the 1st time since 2013!
