Oregon would have had to win both games like Washington did.
If you combine the two WA Husky games, the Ducks lost by a combined 6 points. Two games, 6 points. They deserved to be in the CFP more than Bama or TX, but the shameful bias of the committee raised it's head again. Luckily a new playoff format next year and joining the Big 10 may make things better, but the current committee members should go.
Texas and Bama deserved to make it way more than Oregon. Both teams won their conference (unlike Oregon), had better records than Oregon, and had much better wins than Oregon. It’s not a debate.

Most P5 schools would've went undefeated with libertys schedule. Aint hard when you play cornflake college every week. Theres about 80 schools that woulda did what Oregon did to them today.
Might as well be a Ducks highlight video. I was all ready to talk about how Liberty's first team offense was impressive for being able to score against our third team defense, because I honestly had forgotten they'd failed at even that, but it turns out they weren't able to even do that.
At the end of the first i thought we might actually have a ball game on our hands. Too bad Liberty couldn't do more. I didn't think they'd win but I did think it'd be a bit closer.
the 12 team playoff next year will prove its flaw immediately and this is part of it. G5 bids shouldn’t be automatic, Tulane last year was a legit top 12 team. Liberty was 23rd. the talent gap is also gonna be an issue with the G5 to P5 and automatic conference winners….if we include the Pac-12 which will be Oregon State and Washington State…who will be playing 5 P5, 6 G5, and 1 FCS….to be one of them
Other than this year it’s been the American Conference getting the bid every year since 2013 or so. American is just about as good as the ACC or slightly below them. C-USA, Sunbelt, and Mountain West are not even close to that level.
This matchup was bad for both teams and a terrible look for the bowl-selection-committee.... wanna bet that somebody made some money on this 'set-up'.... corruption sucks.

This is why undefeated doesnt mean anything. This game and the fsu game are prime examples of why you cant base teams based off records, but records depending on the strength of schedule.
Comparing FSU to Liberty is very ignorant. FSU had wins over LSU and Louisville and didn’t make it because of a QB injury. Liberty just wasn’t on the same level as Oregon. I agree with the decision that the committee made, but it had nothing to do with FSU having not played anybody.
As a Beavers fan I don't exactly favor the Ducks in many situations, but Bo was honestly really entertaining to watch this season as was Bucky. I'm sure they'll do well in the NFL
I disappointed that Fresno State didn't make to this game as we had a strong chance of getting in, but the three game losing streak sealed that. but after looking at how this game played out with liberty. I'm glad we didn't.

If the Ducks had a field goal kicker, they would be in the playoffs
IF, IF, IF...... quack, quack, quack
It’s all good our time is coming brother 🦆
We don't know that.
Facts
@@rodgerdirkii2853 Oregon got pummeled in the Championship game. They were very lucky to have lost by only 3. Even if Washington had lost the first game they still were going to be in the PAC-12 Championship game, so not going for a field goal in the first game would not have put Oregon into the playoffs. Oregon would have had to win both games like Washington did.
Wow the play at 7:02. Works everytime without pressure. Liberty Defense looked exhausted
Oregon was demonstrably the better conditioned team.
Can’t Buy your way out of this one Liberty.
So happy that Bo went out with a W! Man im so happy
"I know that Alabama be the #1 team in the country that was on a 29 win streak as well as the #9 and #12 teams, but Oregon lost 2 close games to a playoff team! No contest who's more deserving amirite?!"
Although Liberty was undefeated, it was pretty clear Oregon would blow them up and give them their only L, a critical one at that.
Liberty had absolutely no business being on the field with Oregon.
LU transmission blew 1st QT, good way to open up the game but allowing the Ducks to get 5th gear was dangerous. Great game congratulations to the Ducks
Most P5 schools would've went undefeated with libertys schedule. Aint hard when you play cornflake college every week. Theres about 80 schools that woulda did what Oregon did to them today.
As Alabama sits at half time against Michigan with less than 100 total yds 😂🤣
@@BOOGiNS and ended up being the only team that ever led Michigan in the 3rd or 4th quarter all season.
@@EulogyfortheAngels it's all irrelevant now. The ducks are the premier team to beat in college football in 2024
Might as well be a Ducks highlight video. I was all ready to talk about how Liberty's first team offense was impressive for being able to score against our third team defense, because I honestly had forgotten they'd failed at even that, but it turns out they weren't able to even do that.
Who you played always tells the tale! Liberty had a good year but had no real shot in this game.
At the end of the first i thought we might actually have a ball game on our hands. Too bad Liberty couldn't do more. I didn't think they'd win but I did think it'd be a bit closer.
Oregon is just too good man. They have 2 losses, but by a combined 6 points against a team in the national championship.
I have a sneaky suspicion than both Nix and Penix are going to kill at the next level.
As a Ducks fan I believe wherever Bo Nix and Penix land they’re going to change their organization for the better
Oregon+Refs = 🤝
Cry harder.
@@YoshiYoshedaI’m not an Oregon fan I’m a UGA and Notre dame fan so
Don’t get me started 😂
@@OregonMan07 no lol
the 12 team playoff next year will prove its flaw immediately and this is part of it. G5 bids shouldn’t be automatic, Tulane last year was a legit top 12 team. Liberty was 23rd. the talent gap is also gonna be an issue with the G5 to P5 and automatic conference winners….if we include the Pac-12 which will be Oregon State and Washington State…who will be playing 5 P5, 6 G5, and 1 FCS….to be one of them
g5 teams deserve some kind of chance
@@ryanamburgy2791 Separate power 5 and non power 5, give them their own NTG. This should have been done years ago.
@@TirpitzLuminare actually a pretty good idea
Other than this year it’s been the American Conference getting the bid every year since 2013 or so. American is just about as good as the ACC or slightly below them. C-USA, Sunbelt, and Mountain West are not even close to that level.
@@ChrisDubs-ku7qr and then all the good American teams moved to the big 12, and now it’s basically just Tulane and smu
that liberty cheerleader commentator became a real duck fan after this game.....hoo hooo hooooo
I love these uniforms so much. Brings back so many childhood memories
12 team playoff is gonna be crazy next season
Good job on Liberty for making it to a ny6 bowl!
And congrats to Oregon for the win
At least we had a great season! Congrats to Oregon.
Kadarius Toney shade lol
Thank you, Awakenbeerus; this is the same outcome as you described in your live. THANK YOU 10,000 TIMES.
This matchup was bad for both teams and a terrible look for the bowl-selection-committee.... wanna bet that somebody made some money on this 'set-up'.... corruption sucks.
No corruption, just bad luck. Oregon was always gonna go to the Fiesta Bowl. The highest ranked G5 champ always goes to a NY6 bowl and it was the Fiesta Bowl’s turn. It just sucked that Oregon couldn’t have played SMU.
@@anthonyc8499Your right, no corruption. Whats sad is that the ducks lost to the huskies twice in really close games. As a ducks fan, it was a heartbreaking end to season in that 2nd washington game but this was amazing to see Bo and Bucky and Bassa all one more time, gotta love to ducks. Its our own fault we aint in the playoffs and had to play Liberty, but it is what it is
@@willphilp2610 as a UW fan, it’s not easy to root for the Ducks but I was cheering for Oregon in this one. Watching the Ducks humiliate Jerry Falwell’s boys all game long just was a real treat. Bo Nix is a class act and it’s been fun to watch him these last two years. For Nix and Oregon to send LU back home so they can ponder big boy football all year, was just the chef’s kiss to a great collegiate career.
They set liberty up 😂😂
not even a real college 😂
Btw, that was VERY generous & good/great sportsmanship of the Ducks to spot Lib their meaningless 6/7-8 pts in the 1st qtr (I'm being serious here)
Go Ducks!!!
Liberty does teach players how to *Fall well.*
As a Beavers fan I don't exactly favor the Ducks in many situations, but Bo was honestly really entertaining to watch this season as was Bucky. I'm sure they'll do well in the NFL
Especially this season. Because your university is greedy as..
Good job Nix...your play today reminded me of the game you had back in 1973 against ol miss I believe it was?...😊
Another reason why going undefeated does not matter. Florida State Vibes 😂
Un-Liberty U plays in a very weak conference, Florida State does not. There is a difference
Good Games Liberty
I disappointed that Fresno State didn't make to this game as we had a strong chance of getting in, but the three game losing streak sealed that. but after looking at how this game played out with liberty. I'm glad we didn't.
It’s like they booked this matchup expecting a lot of Oregon players to opt out just like FSU and OSU.
which is crazy because I think only like 5 players opted out and 3 of them were to get ready fore the draft.
I swear when guys are running in the open field and they have blockers in front of them that are not lineman, the blockers never block
Looking at the highlights I believe I saw all of Liberty's the first drive. It was like watching Tennessee when they ran a TD for the first drive against UGA. Ridiculous that Orgon didn't play a team in the top 10. Go UGA DAWGS
Do you know how the NY6 works? At least one G5 team has to make it every year, Oregon happened to be the one to play that team this year.
One last ride with the crew 🥲
This should have been Notre dame or Georgia , not some small school playing Oregon 😂
IN DEFENSE OF LIBERTY: They finished with basically the same score as Colorado and Stanford did in their games versus the Ducks. Frankly, that's impressive.
lol right and throw utah in as well.I really wish Liberty had played 1 decent p5 team during the season because everyone with a brain saw this coming.
@@smiley3554 I'm not saying they weren't going to lose, but the fact that they held off Oregon for even a quarter is rather impressive
Liberty should not have been in this game
It's levels to this
Didn't know Liberty was a real accredited school.
Shows you how far a mix of money and religious lunacy can go.
Say what. Not a real University. O boy😢🎉

Obviously the ducks walked away with a fat W, but props to liberty for how they played in the first quarter. Keep building. Good job in the regular season.
Lmao either liberty’s defense backs are really slow or Oregon’s receivers are really fast

Won't be surprised if Oregon is ranked preseason #2 in the polls 2024
There’s no way they can be ranked any higher than 5, because top 4 will absolutely be bama Georgia Ohio state and Michigan
@@ryanamburgy2791As always, Though I do think Oregon Will be around 6-8 or maybe #5 in the preseason poll considering they are #8 now and they had a Top-3 class
@@ryanamburgy2791WHAT U TALKING ABOUT, sorry but Ohio state does not deserve to be in the top 5 after what i had to sut through couple days ago. Ohio State deserves to be ranked like 8-10 somewhere there, no shot they gonna be higher than they are right now
@@ryanamburgy2791 there's no way. If Alabama loses to Michigan, because they lost to Texas, they'll be ranked below Texas and Michigan. If Washington beats Texas, then Oregon will be ranked above Texas depending on the margin of victory. Cause Oregon only lost two games by a total of 6points to Washington. Also due to their replacement starters next season. The order is going to go :
1. Georgia
2. Oregon
3. Michigan
4. Texas
5. Alabama
