I’ve read the novel twice. To those who are criticizing the series: JiangTian is definitely not homophobic lol… don’t twist things into worse based on your own overthinking. Everyone who read the novel loves it. We all do. But written material is very different from screening, there’s no guarantee that it would be a successful series if it sticks to the original. And don’t you think it would be very boring to watch exactly the same as in the novel?! If there’s one thing you should learn from BL movies/series/novels or from LGBT world in general: OPEN YOUR MIND!
I just brushed thru first few chapters of the novel because Director, Ben and Dong gave me perfect visuals of the characters in On1yOne. Having exact same elements of novel in drama is impossible. Thats y its called screen adaptation. However, i hope season2 remains as close to novel and Dong is okay to play those scenes since he's not primarily from BL industry. All the best for Season2. ❤
I'm glad that the director say that jiang tian is not homophobic, and he just hate his father because of what he done. I read the novel and I think there're some kinda how uncomfortable jiang tian's about his father being gay. But it might be wrong since in my country the translation is bad. But still jiang tian love sheng wang, and I think the kiss at the 2nd episode is cute, and it help making sheng wang and jiang tian closer.
Uughh the novel readers are just so annoying, like if you dont like the dram then dont watch very simple very easy and that people attacking jiang tian as homophobic are just wanting to find something to argue when theres nothing to argue about😤
