    Really enjoying following along as you rebuild your tcgplayer inventory. Its very inspiring. I will be spending the rest of the month auditing and fixing my entire tcgplayer inventory so that i can hopefully stay in the direct program. Its been something i needed to do for awhile now. Not going to enjoy doing it but once its done shipping will be so much easier. Keep up the good work mason looking forward to bulking up EP #3

    What you said is absolutely correct,, it’s all about profit vs earnings, if you are spending time making .01 profit it’s just not worth the time and you can get more profit focusing that energy on other sales, I hate that you are educating other people and making them hip to the game lol but you are completely right, this is why I always set a minimum price of .25 because what I do is just lower the staple expensive cards $1 or $2 and I find people have no issues paying .25 a card and will buy the whole deck because they would rather buy it from one place than make 20 different orders and hope they show up or not

    Ah, I didn't know they "merged" the mystery booster cards with the List! It makes sense, though. Both these "sets" have the little planeswalker symbol down in the left.
    Now there is at least one card that has two different versions in "The List": Great Furnace. Once with the Mirrodin symbol (originally Mystery booster), once with C18 symbol (from the List). Angel of Serenity also comes in two flavors in the List now (RTR and C15).
    So confusing, WotC!! I hate it when they do such things, and you as stores have to check so much more than necessary with that 2% failure allowance of TCG direct. 😞I really don't envy your job there.

    Thanks for the content great stuff, i didnt comment in your last video but i love the new drawers you put in. Ive got a 66k inventory and just do this out of a room in my house as a hobby but am always looking for ways to improve my process. How do you handle re pricing inventory as prices change?
    As for inventory ive worked out a bit of a different system to reduce friction of adding cards to my inventory. I sort my inventory by set and alphabetically in batches of no less than 1k then just have numbered boxes that i add the batch into. Then i use a computer program to track where all the cards are (upload the same csv as i use for tcgplayer inventory upload) and when its time to pull cards the program give me a list of which boxes to pull out and which cards to pull from each box. So far its worked great and is really nice to never need to shuffle cards around so that i can add more cards to my inventory but im not sure how well it will scale to much larger inventories. Hoping to bulk up also so we'll see how it goes.

    Hi Mason, I'm curious how you price your cheaper bulk singles on a local level, lets say pokemon commons, rares, holos, reverses, v, ex etc. Would love a video on that vs how you try to sell them on tcg and which method you prefer, thanks!

    Just wondering how you're fixing the MTG foiling problem? IE: MTG foils which have a market price over your pull minimum where non-foil has a market price significantly under the price minimum. Foils already move quite a lot slower and the low end foils make a glacier look speedy, even when market is met on them, let alone when the ask is 2-3x market.

    I have a 29,877 card store at the moment. It's 97% magic. I started in January this year. I list every card that I find out the price on. I have no overhead so since I already touched it I just list it. I started at 22 cents was the minimum I would list any card for and then I ended up at 8-9 cents at the low. Anytime id sell a 9 cent card and that was the whole order I would just feel bummed filling the order. So I've been moving back up. Last day I listed I did 13 cents. I might go back up to 22 where I started. I've also been playing with the shipping during this six months and that was factoring into the price I would list at as well. I can't ship for less then $1.40 or it becomes a loss for me. Idk how anyone can do the $1.22 and then do free shipping for $5 orders. Other then to just boost sales to look like a better store but after that it's rough to ship for $1.22.

      Try a much higher price floor than you think is possible. See how sales to. Then bring it down a few cents at a time until you find your sweet spot. I do Yugioh and 49c, free shipping over $5. Lots and lots of price floor orders

      My shipping cost is .85 cents, with out including the price of the card, average card cost for me is at 2 cents. I had my lowest Price 14 cents, but really i just changed it back to 24 cents because the labor just isn't worth it

    • @travisrob5311
      @travisrob5311 4 месяца назад +1

      @@EducatedGuppyLive supplies for me cost like 86 cents but I want to cover the fee as well with how much a I charge for shipping. If I ship for $1.22 and send a single 14 cent card I make 87 cents after fees. So I would make a penny

    How do you account for the cards that you sell as you add inventory? When I upload cards it takes a while to propagate and then I don't know when cards get subtracted as I sell/fulfill orders.
