Sounds great Misha! The Precision Drive is my favorite pedal in my rig. It does SO much! It gives me the tightest low end of any overdrive pedal. When it hits the front of my Mesa Dual Rectifier (which has a lot of low end) it's something magical and brutal. I love it!
Misha that was awesome. Love the peddle. Running an EQ before the peddle then into IR works great for me. Would love to see more videos like this in the near future please.
The beauty about all of the gear that you designed is that It makes anyones playing sound completely transparent. I don’t feel like im ripping your sound at all when using it.
I got Apex Preamp about 4 years ago and one of my best pedal😊 It sounds between Peavey 5150 and Mesa Boogie Mark IV. Especially Cab Sim is really good! I prefer 10 O'clock about cab sim knob, sounds boosted low-mid range.
From what I gather, the Precision Drive is for boosting a sound you already have that you like, while the Apex is its own sound AND a boost capability within one unit.
@@themaggot8 so it can be a preamp, it's designed to be a drive pedal but it also has a cab sim... 😅 Misha can't complain about this pedal being "misunderstood"
I have an orange TH30 and i was thinking to use this pedal by bypassing the pre amp and connecting it to the power amp instead , at the return of the FX loop. Would you recommend that, or just plug in directly into the clean channel?
Both options work, neither option is better. They just sound different. One of the few exceptions is the metal zone - it almost always sounds better in an FX loop but even still, it’s debatable.
Hey Misha I know this actually a little off topic but I am using reaper and I have kontakt downloaded. I purchased the ggd metal pack. Sounds great! My issue is I am using the Headrush Mx 5 into my Pc and when I load the drums and try to record guitar I encounter latency really bad. I haven’t really found a video on how to fix it. Any help would awesome! Thanks the video’s are highly appreciated.
Hey Garry, I'm surprised no one has responded to your question. However, it is loaded. initially the MX% will have a little latency as it has to process your signal before hitting your DAW. Otherwise, there are too many factors for just one answer. In short, lower the buffer size to reduce latency. In general, lower buffer to record, higher buffer to mix. Take a look at these suggestions: 1) Bounce sampler material to tracks and then mute the sampler. 2) disable any nonessential plugins such as bus limiters, compressors, etc. that utilize high sample rates, and or look ahead features. (In Reaper, bring up the Performance meter and it will show where there may be some contention for latency.) 3) Adjust buffer size lower to where the sound does not crackle for recording. Hope this helps a little.
We need regular Misha streams again …
I got PD, FE and Apex during the Christmas Holiday, and they really blew me away…Thanks for making those amazing pedals!
I have this pedal since a couple of years and I never stop using it. In front of a clean amp it really is amazing I love it
Mishas' guitar + Misha's drums = A combo unlike any other

Wow, what a huge sound. I get the feeling your production quality somehow sounds better and more polished every year...
Sounds so good and very organic!!!

Can't wait to save up enough to get this pedal! Sounds super heavy!
Misha your production sounds amazing!
The pedal and the song is dope AF
I am never without my Precision Drive when I play so I guess it’s long overdue that I get this one. Always enjoy your videos Misha!!!!

You know, if you guys would come out with Periphery, the lunch box and thermos set, I'd buy that too.😁
These newer version Juggernauts with the roasted maple sound so good. What a shame that they are not available as the previous version.
Great tone and killer riff… hope that ends up on a release! OT, but how do you like that KK S88?
yo this demo friggin slaps
Here's to hoping it's on p5
Do you ship to Brazil?
Sounds killer! I noticed you have the same keyboard as I do! Nice :D
Did we ever see the EQ in this demo?
On the Pedal yes there is long cut for everyone to match settings! In the DAW no, but its a super basic bus EQ.
Why do I feel like I've heard this demo before? Was this an old Bulb demo or was it in the videos leading up to Hail Stan?
that 2:55 moment.. holy hell cow! them tones D:
What preset are you using on the Invasion kit?
VST3 version coming when? ;D
why is it called a preamp if it goes into the preamp section of a clean amp though? 🤔
wait wait wait, so there is a CAB sim option but it is designed to go into a preamp? yea I can see why this pedal is misunderstood...
Because it works best in the effects loop return of an amp, just like the Diezel VH4 pedal.
@@themaggot8 He says at 1:33 that its designed to go through the clean channel
@@tusharjamwal yes, but it works best when used in the fx loop. Try it and you'll see.

Can you use this as an overdrive for an amps distorted channel
For that you are looking for the Precision Drive!
@@MishaMansoor I just ordered the Precision for my Marshall; if its not enough with that boost; will order the Apex Preamp 😎
do you have the aeron C size or B?

Woah i just thought you were Misha from GetGood drums! 🤯
You should play in a bnand!
That hair! 🤘🏼
Which pickups are you using Misha?
Definitely not Bare Knuckles :D
Haha am trying to decide between the Juggernauts and the Rangnaroks. I would buy whatever he’s using in this video. Sounds massive
Ragnaroks in this guitar!
@@fercontreras8 those are ragnaroks, pretty sure.
This how we are going to talking with aliens 👽

@@Shred_Rocket Thanks I definitely will try this. I appreciate the help.
Djent is no longer about mids 😢
in front of a clean amp...sounds great. The cab sim sounds........really bad
This vid should be called „Misha records with the Apex preamp tho“, he didnt mix anything
Lower the price of the overpriced pedal, if the cab sim sucks? No brainer💡
