So if that wasn't long time ago, it makes sense he was an executioner way before the parasite came into the picture, meaning the only new thing is the parasite, jot the execution part.
I remember so vividly at a really young age sitting in my living room watching my step father play this part of the game. He made me and my step sister look away at the bloody parts. Good memories. Bought the game recently to relive the memories firsthand.

The error that the developers got wrong geographically is the fact that Swahili is spoken in East Africa whilst the game takes place in an unknown West African country where they speak Yoruba which is completely different from Swahili.

Funnily enough Capcom did stuff up the localization in RE4 by making the villagers in Spain talk with a Latin American accent like those that speak in Mexico which is false as it should be a Castilian dialect as the game is set in Europe in Spain and not in Mexico. The game has potential to be terrifying especially with the soundtrack in the background. But you can tell they didn’t try to make it very scary bc the gore wasn’t there barely at all. I mean the beheading scene could’ve been terrifying and nasty as hell but they chose to show an infected person yelling and Chris and Shevas reactions to something horrific (and this is just one small thing that could’ve been scary)
That would cool if they remake this game. Make him the merchant for a couple levels then kill him off (same way he dies here but make it more gory and brutal), just to to throw people off who’s never played the original but they know about re4s merchant. A good twist/callback to Re4 remake/original’s merchant, while also staying in line with the original.
Though they were nonchalantly reusing it I was very happy to see they brought in another cabin sequence when i played this lol (they do it like 2 times in re5 i think)

Wild thought. I am currently drunk and high and might have Scizh! The developers loved the idea for this game so much they couldn't let it go. They literally ONLY gave you a side character so they could be the same color or race as the antagonists. If this didn't take place in Africa, Chris would be on a solo mission because it's ONLY okay when people of the same color kill each other. Racism is truly a phantom pain of past traumas in the USA. This country will only heal after another type of civil war. Placing bets meow! Looking back this game was pretty bad ass. Mayhaps another remake is warranted like RE4?! 🤷♂️
The RE5 Executioner's theme is a perfect new age blend of the scariest RE4 Ganado themes... in my opinion, it's the scariest, most urgent, anxiety-ridden track of any Resident Evil game.
Man, the execution cutscene is so dread inducing, i felt helpless back then, the limited ammo and the amount of enemies. That part where it goes silent after the executioner decapitates Fisher is so cool and threatening, i really hope they keep it as it is in the remake.
its funny to see this Chris character development from almost heartless badass that don`t give a damn for each his ally death on RE5 to Big leader cry baby that very angry when his team death on RE6 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie when the executioner broke through the gates door as I ran around the whole area using up all ammo health items shooting at infected villagers and the executioner as it took me hundreds of times killing the executioner! I died probably some what many times in this scene! But the two at the window! Lesson is please keep your head down when you see something going on!
