There's something very gratifying about an engune bay clean, even though barely anyone will ever see it. Good video Andy. All the best. 👍

That hot water function on the steamer is a brilliant idea! That's so often a useful "product", where steam is a bit too intense.

Always find cleaning with steam odd?All detailing products tell you not to use on hot panels Then you spray on degreaser and hit it with hot steam?!

The point you raise regarding caution over steam is valid and should be adhered to. Certainly on interiors I rarely use steam, however, engine bays are areas that are specifically designed to operate under high temp conditions. Further, the continual movement of the steam nozzle ensures no build up of heat on a specific area and thus the heat concentration is on the surface where the grime is. If you are not comfortable using steam yourself, then I would suggest other cleaning regimes. I have never had any issue using steam on an engine bay clean and find it a safe and effective method.
