Man, remember when the show would start over from the beginning right after the Ginyu Force stuff and it took FOREVER to get to Goku landing on the planet. And then we finally got to that and then it would loop back again after the Freiza fight. It felt like it took hundreds of years just to see what happened after the Freiza saga. Then we FINALLY got to see Future Trunks after YEARS of waiting. I started watching Dragon Ball Z in middle school and it wasn't until the middle of high school when we finally got to see the Android stuff. Man it took SO long back then. Now they can just churn out the episodes. Toonami must has played through the Frieza sage 4 or 5 times before we finally got to Future Trunks. It sure felt like it. It's no wonder so many people hate planet Namek. They're on that band looking planet for a long time and and it feels longer thanks to the reruns. It was so refreshing to see the android saga. And back then seeing GT was like finding gold. Back before it was dubbed and only subbed and only in Japan so all you could find online were the fan made subs.
