i have the same car and leaves and dirt got stuck in the sunroof drain area (i would open the sunroof all the time) and water leaked Inside the car down the a pillars and i didn't notice untill i Undid the clips and Lifted the carpets up. there was a POOL OF WATER covering the electrical components and wires under the seat. i dried it out really quick and left the carpet up with fans. it's been perfectly fine now. i cleaned the drains also
It was a great deal and those cars are pretty good, I have a 2013 and have had no serious issues. Just like to say they’re very sensitive vehicles, I had a bad alternator and had electrical problems and transmission shifting issues but it was all due to low voltage. I hope everything works out man! Best of luck!
Clean the sunroof drain behind both fenders. I just remove them one these Mercedes. Number one reason they eat up the modules under passenger seat when water leaks in. Good luck. Pull the carpet make sure floor isn't wet. Pools water up and driving it makes it flop back and forth
Let’s go bro haters gonna hate but just know let them talk cuz they pay us n bring us content don’t even worry about the hate comments cuz your doing amazing
In the drivers side footwell close to the rocker (inside) there is 3 interconnect bars for the Can Bus system. Water gets in the floorboard and inside these connectors and the corrode. They need to be cleaned. Replace them if they are too bad. Use Dielectric grease to keep any future water away.
I’ve had multiple benzes and the highest mileage I’ve had was 211,000 miles on a 04, E500. Only thing that killed it ironically was a flood. But overall a very healthy car super quick gave me no problems whatsoever
Yea there’s nothing wrong with any high mileage car if you can work on them yourself. Ignore everyone else. Of course the rate of maintenance and issues go up after 100k but we are car guys and it’s what are lives revolve around ❤️
Body control module is faulty😊 remove and replace I do believe it does control the fuel pump tap tap tap on the fuel pump it may come back to life fuel pump is fine it's just the control module for the fuel pump itself
I'll bet there is water in the insulation under the carpet! The wiring and or any plug ins or computers are suffering that are under the carpet believe me and you'll have more issues soon! I may be wrong but Insurance Companies wouldn't deem it a flood without knowing for sure.
I’m taking a guess you don’t do this for a living as we do? Insurance companies don’t require or look for proof. If it gets some water inside they total it as a flood. We have covered many things on this channel about salvage titles as that’s all we do for a living and have showed many interesting things in this business. So far there is zero signs of any moisture and it’s had zero issues since we got it to run in its own in this video. Not saying it can’t have issues but I’ve purchased a few on this channel that were total for reasons that weren’t needed to be totaled and needed no big repairs.
Ive got a whole playlist on here on salvage. Also for Members only we just did a video on what I look for when buying a car. Also will be doing a car start to finish for members only soon. Browse my channel as there’s a ton of info on here and it’s all organized in playlist. Thanks
lol it’s just a flood title not a “bad title”. I’ve never understand why people call it that. But yea car ended up having zero issues. Will be able to sell it at a later date and definitely make a good amount of money off it.

How would you go about licensing and tagging a "Flood" titled car? Would you even be able to do anything about it?
Yes it’s the same as any other car in N.C. nothing special has to be done
That's how it got wet ed washing the windshield
😂 probably
You lucky dog. Nice buy tho.

A flooded Mercedes. I hope your kid likes walking.
😂 don’t think that’s gonna happen.
A bad title mercedes with 150k+ and unknown gremlins? 1200 seems normal
