Hey, my son Courtney, mom and I just watched the video. We are so proud of you son and the husband, father and man you have become. Listening to you in this video you have matured so much. You definitely have your priorities in order of what's important in life, you are correct time is something no one knows how much they will be given and when it will end. Always remember a car is just a thing but people and family are far more important. You did a fantastic job on the journey with this car. Sorry I could not have been more involved but now that I am retired, I plan to be involved with your future projects as much as possible. On to bigger and better things love Mom and Dad.
Thank you and love yall too! There won’t be any shortage of projects lol. Life seems to be to boring with out completely tearing something apart. It was forsure wild to watch Harper grow in the first 10mins of this and watch 4 years disappear on film. Love yall!
Kinda hate to see her go, but glad she's going to be taken care of. Thoroughly enjoyed all the content building her. Enjoying the Plymouth build too. Stay true to you Courtney. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Peace and love, Tim
Brother, i am the same way. I don't care about going 8 seconds. A/c heat and drive it anywhere. I am doing a Ls3/6L80E with a BTR RedHot cam. It's going in a 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. I want to be able to blow the tires off at will. But drive it to Florida if I want. Can't wait to see your next build.
Had a race car, it was like a boat, Only fun at the track. Building a 63 Belvedere with a blown 440, will be a show car/cruiser I can take to test n tunes to race with friends.
I totally get it Courtney. I had a 84 Monte Carlo that I had fully restored and it was meant for just car shows and not the track, but one thing lead to another and it started snow balling from there. Then watching my daughter grow up in this car and riding with me all the time, to not being able to ride at all because it would hurt her ears. She had to wear hearing aids so the pitch of the exhaust was too loud, so she never wanted to ride in it anymore. The memories are worth way more than metal any day. The Comet will be missed but never forgotten.
I learned many years ago not to get married to a car or any projects or builds. I started following the channel a few years back and can say I've enjoyed every video, keep up the good work and remember family is #1, hope y'all have a happy thanksgiving!!
That time you spent with your daughter and your family. Beautiful. Love your music choices too. Kinda sad but just the next chapter of your life. Live it and live it however you want sir.
You didn't miss it you embraced it way better then most fathers. I'm proud and you should be. It hurt me seeing what I missed or skipped for fear of the
I’m with you. I’ve seen several families fall apart mostly because somebody worked 40-60 hours during the week and spent 10 months of weekends at the track. Not saying that’s the norm but it happens. That’s why I’ve moved to drag and drive, pick a week or two worth of events a year and the family goes along. Can do a full blown race car, show car, everyday cruiser you name it. You should give it a shot, family road trip!
That’s great advice for everyone! I think this also helps you enjoy the outing more. Doing anything every weekend is exhausting in my opinion. I like to switch it up and also do other projects. Thanks man
Sad to see it go. But I still like watching your paint how to projects. I think maybe you are a teacher at heart. Do what you like Courtney it's your dream.
I went to hang out with the guys from Never Done Projects this past weekend. They are a mile or 2 up the street from TKM. I didn't know where they were. They are 2 hours from me. I am planning on TKM doing a Gen 4 5.3L aluminum block to have them CNC the block and press in 4.125 sleeves for a 427. It's cheaper than 25 grand for an actual 427, lol.
I did a lot of test and tune for about 6 years in early 2000s, I had to change something on the car before I took it out to see if it made a difference, I wasn't concerned about winning or loosing I just wanted to learn the mechanical side.
Congratulations on the sale! I am impressed! Good luck on finding the right land to build on. I have an 87 mustang sbf 5.0 turbo T5, and a 86 Camaro 6.0 LS Nitrous PG, and one of them needs to go. Trying to figure out a list price is not easy.
Yea list price is hard. Just like when we sell our cars on our lot they are only worth what someone else will pay no matter what others say it’s worth.
I read the comment about people don't get you..... What I got out of your build was Harper is a big time Daddy's girl. I loved the idea because I did that at your age with my daughter. I know you're trying to move on, I believe it was a real estate opportunity. Like turbo John said, there's always another build. It was a pleasure my brotha, I appreciate the life experience through just a video with your daughter.
I will never understand people like you but to each their own most of us would spend every waking hour racing this car and could care less about the build just the final product 😮
We are all different man. I dreaded having to take it to the track. And very happy being home again building a new build and letting my creativity flow once again
Everybody has a different idea of being a car guy I raced for years and now I have more fun building and fabricating. To me the slower cars are more fun less stressful.
I gotta say you built a really badass car my friend 👍 .. don't listen to the haters they are everywhere and 95% of them don't even have a car .. and keep doing you can't wait to see what y'all got going next
@ThePaintPaperHustle yeah I started following you from Turbo John's channel.. I'm building a 1957 Chevy 4 door post car a sleeper / burnout car for street and car shows it's all in fun and way cheaper than going to the track lol
Thanks for watching. This new one is so much more exciting for me and I’m really looking forward to the day we can drive this new build local. Of course we will sell it to one day and move on to another but we will enjoy it for a few
Sold mine to cause the economy man’s gotta eat and race cars are exspensive and take a lot of time away from your family but it’s truly about the friendships you make and memories with friends and family.
Wow, Courtney, I'm happy for you, bud, because it helps you achieve your goals ! But on the downside, I sure hate to see it go through a lot of the comet journey with you watching ! But again happy for you
I like that .I'm glad it's not a fox body I'm sick of seeing them and 90%of them are LS motors.you gone have a good helper years to come .enjoy ever day you get to spend with that little one because time is so short.god bless your family
The plymouth will be a more practical car with the baby girl, taking it to cruise ins and drive in theaters a nice classic family car. And when that girl gets older maybe build another race car and let her race it if she's interested.
You are blessed to have a special group of friends around but moreso a loving wife daughter and dad. Treasure them all .its gr8 you and your dad can get along and work together. They won't be around forever so make every moment count. BTW, you do fantastic work. KJV 1 Thes 5 : 18. ✌️❤️🙏✝️✡️
I hate to see it go, but I definitely understand. Eventually, I suppose I'll sell my Reef Blue coupe, but unlike you, I've spent my life racing, so it's hard to let go.
lol hey nothing wrong with that buddy. I refuse to have a channel about one thing only. I have a few guys I help with advice try to grow their channel and I preach nonstop to them to never only cover one thing or one vehicle bc then your viewers will expect that forever and that’s always an unhealthy channel for growth long term. The bigger channels normally cover a few things or do a few things and are continually growing and changing. I’m way too creative to limit myself to one thing. I’ve enjoyed having you here and hope I’ve been able to help you in at least one way in your own life or projects.
100%. Cars come and go and aren’t anything important. If I can build one then I can build 100. I can’t rebuilt years that are gone though from running the roads. ❤️
If a person is thinking that a RUclips channel building cars is going to make them rich, they are sadly mistaken. Just find videos that are popular and copy that, and then you will get rich. For me, I make my car videos for me. If anyone watches and likes that is a bonus. You could literally mow messed up lawns on RUclips and get rich. So if you want to make car content, do it for yourself and be yourself. Your channel is great. Exactly what it should be. I hate all the wanna be celebrity car channels.
Thanks buddy. That’s exactly what I do. If you look at my popular videos that have paid the most I don’t make a ton of them. If I wanted to just make money I’d copy my highest view videos and keep doing that. But I’m like you said, making content I like.
You are 100 percent correct family time means more then anything I have 4 and now they all are grown but one and she turns 17 here in couple weeks and with my job I missed so much time I can not get back and the money certainly didn't mean ad much as the time I wish I could have spent with them
Yessss. See I listen to people like you and I learn from yall. I don’t want to look bad and be sad at all the time I lost. Cars aren’t anything important just chunks of metal and I’ll get rid of any of them quickly
Thanks buddy but ain’t no way man I’m not built like that. It’s just a car. I could build another one better if I wanted. And the next build after this Plymouth will be absolutely sick if I don’t change my mind again

Brother I watched you work on the car I watch to try to race it I have seen too many people do it you’ve done and it really bothers me because I’ve had one car for over 30 years and I can’t even drive it because I can’t afford to finish it you finish that car and then you get rid of it I’m sure you have a good reason like everybody else I know but it just aggravates the shit out of me to watch somebody put all that money and time and effort into a car and then get rid of it I just don’t understand the point
I explained it all pretty well in this video. Cars aren’t important. Time spent around the house with family is. That staring out a windshield for hours to get to a track is a thief of my daughter’s time with me. I can build these things at home near her and spending time with her. Money don’t mean anything it also comes and goes.

the drag racing scene isnt for everyone my man. i struggled with letting go of it several years ago. its just not family oriented. build you a nice street car you can carry the fam around in. and enjoy. and enjoy the time with them.
@ThePaintPaperHustle im an old guy and decided to build one more. It was going to be turbocharged. I took it to the track na and decided I dont want that much power. I am building 650 for the spring and that will be good.
