The entire world is rooting against France because they won last time, and it's now or never for Messi... But a world cup is not about pleasing everyone, it's not about crowning a legend, it's about rewarding the best team on the pitch. Di Mari-Alvarez-Messi might just be what gets Argentina the trophy. That's an obsenely oppressive forward combo, Di Maria's forward pushes were nearly impossible for Netherlands to stop during the 10 minutes he played against them and Alvarez doesn't ever stop moving. Alvarez's clutch factor has been off the charts and Di Maria is the sole goal scorer in all of Argentina's finals (And they lost when he couldn't play for long in the Germany final). Throw in Messi doing things that nobody can predict and that's an even better forward trio than Mbappe-Giroud-Griezmann. Especially if they can hold the lead or be even by half time, because Giroud is always gassed out of his mind by minute 50-60ish.
Argentina has been ramping up for the entire tournament. They are gonna give it their absolute best. I think that france are excellent but i do not think they are as consistent. Both teams rely on the superstars a bit too much, but argentina plays better when they don't get the superstar moments. Argentina for me, but it could easily be a french dub.

Demebele has the potential to turn any game on its head. But he also has games where nothing seems to work for him. I would prefer France won but I want a good game, and I don't want questionable refereeing.
