  • Wow, lot's going on lately! In today's episode we'll get an update on the moving process from our Southern Illinois farm over to our new 575 acre Southern Missouri farm. We have been taking several trips per week hauling over household items and equipment, and while we are at the Missouri farm we have been working to clean out the home, do some tractor bush hogging to get control of the overgrown fields and trails at the Missouri farm and start the food plotting process on every trip as well. Needless to say it has been a very busy couple of months for us and it will only intensify in the coming weeks as we finalize the entire Southern Illinois homestead move over to our new Missouri homestead forever home and land! Here is some more background and the latest update videos from ‪@KapperOutdoors2.0‬ and our whole Missouri farm moving process:

    Was this Divine Intervention? While many may not believe, I do keep the faith when it comes to living this life and putting certain priorities above others. Join me for today's episode #1 of our new life, land and Ozarks Missouri adventures! Recently we bought a 575 acre Southern Missouri farm in the Ozarks and today will be our first moving trip, our first road trip after legally owning the new 575 acre Missouri farm, and all of the adventures that go along with it. Join us for today's episode as I begin our moving process from Southern Illinois over to Southern Missouri. Today I'll tackle some of the challenges associated with equipment hauling over such a long distance. In this episode I'll be hauling my KIOTI RX7320 powershuttle cab tractor, my home made chisel disc plow and some other equipment on my equipment trailer. Oh, and I almost had a near disasterous collision in the St. Louis area as a car literally broke down only a few cars ahead of me, so while cruising at 65 mph there was a completely stopped car right in front of me and I had nowhere to go in either lane, left or right of me, so I locked up all of the brakes on my Ford F250 and the equipment trailer, and fortunately I don't tailgate so I had enough room to get my truck and equipment trailer stopped just in the nick of time! Also today I'll give you an up close and realtime view of the dead end gravel road that our new 575 acre Missouri farm sits on, and then a look at our OVER a mile long private gravel driveway as well. This is a very exciting episode and we thank you for joining us! If you enjoyed today's video episode please hit the like button and consider subscribing to join us for all of our new life and land adventures from our new land in the Ozarks of Missouri! Thanks for joining us today and we hope you'll consider joining us on our new Missouri homestead and land purchase and all of our future land adventures, land investment adventures and projects, and all of our new Missouri home rehab projects and much more! Oh and by the way if you are interested in making a Missouri land investment and being our neighbors (literally) on a dead end road, and then a dead end, private, gated road enjoying a stunning place to hunt, or build your dream home or a deep woods retreat then you can contact us at Kapper@kapperoutdoors.com
    Thank you, we hope to catch you on our next video adventure! #kapperoutdoors #kapperoutdoors2 #kapperoutdoorsMissouri #missouriland #missourihuntingland

    When we moved into our place in the woods in KY we were overrun with mice. Went to Lowe’s and bought several outdoor bait stations and placed all around the house outside. Solved the problem. I keep them filled about every two week. No more mice in the house. The dogs can’t get into the bait station so safe for them.

      Oh, do you not have problems with raccoons? I know we had some of them here in IL but the coons really destroyed them..

    New Tires highly recommend Hercules Terra Trac AT. Be hard pressed to find a better tire for what you do

    Wouldn't leaving the grass growing around the beans help protect them let them get more established before you spray it off 🤔

      Well there are 2 schools of thought; A leave the grass for camoflauge to let beans 'sneak' up higher, but that grass takes a lot of the nutrients from the beans. Or B spray em so the beans can take all the nutrients that are there and grow faster. But I think this being the first year, they have a very good chance of outgrowing the deer before they find them in mass. Just started spraying them today. Phil has corn and beans planted from earlier this spring, but now the deer are coming more in droves and that will continue to grow as they find the new food :)

    Flooding rains seem to be the name of the game up there this year! It's getting real crunchy around here.

      Yeah no kidding! A big lake dam blew out day before yesterday in IL! Wish I could send you some! But the beans are liking it!

      Well I try to take some down time every day if I can. Consistency is the key for me, not super long days. Thanks though!

    Hey kapper good to see you in missouri I'm very familiar with the area your new farm is in and I can confirm with a little food and time that place will become a deer heaven where 140 150 will be fairly common with the occasional deer pushing the 170 mark my only concern would be once the deer find your farm being able to keep up with all the mouths you will be feeding can't wait to watch all the progress

      @kapperoutdoors  2 месяца назад

      Well too many mouths is a good problem to have! I'll take that over not enough deer lol. Thanks

    We do have raccoons frequently. They mess with the bait stations a little but don’t drag them into the woods. It’s not an everyday occurrence thankfully. I agree with you, can’t stand the dirty mice.

    Might take a few days to know if the beans are going to tolerate the chemicals, so don't get too antsy too quick. I'll be extra surprised if the hay beans can survive the Glysophate. But maybe you'll prove everyone wrong since you're feeling so lucky and blessed!! Hope so!!!!

      I think you were right! I did spray a couple plots and they are shocked.. But I don't think they're dead. Glad I didn't do them all. But I do think that the RR version is not as good as regular crop beans. Fingers crossed they come back!
