Someone is probably correct - this was not her best performance of this song. She has been my favorite Christian artist since i first got saved in 1982. i have seen many of her performances on TV & in person. She DOES act like she is fighting something, and i don't recall that i have EVER heard her voice crack like it did near the end of this. So get the CD & listen to that. Then the skeptics among you will know the angel who is singing here.
This is beautiful and heartfelt. And I don't hear any "straining" for the high notes...but if you do, it could be that emotion that you're hearing in the singing. But either way, I'd rather an "imperfect" singing from the gut than a "perfect" "Performance" without any emotion.(Amy's said she's not great with the high notes anyway...that was one reason she chose Vince for House of Love - for the high notes ;-)

Being in the middle on a devistating divorce all I can tell you is this, you have no idea what goes on in someone elses house. People lie. People hide things. People can be vicious. There is nothing one can do when the other will not reconsider. There are also a million reason why someone would decide to quit. I can't judge them. Heck, I can't even judge my ex. I love and loved her but it's over. You cannot reconcile some times. There are a million issues that prevent you some times. It hurts.
