Woman jumps from 3rd floor to escape fast moving flames in Lincoln, RI 3 alarm fire

- Around 2:30, firefighters were called out to this multi family for a reported structure fire with possible people trapped. Heavy smoke was showing from a distance as the front 2nd and 3rd porches were engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. A quick 2nd and 3rd alarms were transmitted.
Neighbors grabbed a mattress from the first floor and encouraged the woman trapped on the 3rd floor to jump. She did and sustained a leg injury.
It took about an hour to bring the fire under control. One firefighter was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

2:35 Check the pitch of that ladder. Do you think a little ladder training is in order? It took two firefighters to set up that second ladder? Try setting up 40'ers all day everyday by yourself.

5:00 I always wonder where the Officers are when bad and dangerous firefighting is going on. Do you know why the FFers turn out like this? They follow the lead and training from those Officers. It has to be! How else could this stuff happen?
Most people don't become leaders because they are good at the job, they become leaders because they kiss the butts of the people above them better than those competent workers.
