Stage 2 E85 here. Full boltons, stock turbo. Using DS1. Stage 2 using 93AKI/98RON is fast enough. I'm running a flex sensor with DS1, and on E85 its just insane and a 10.5 sec car. (2020 RS3 hatch).
I recently went drag racing with a friend that has a 2019 RS3 unitronic stage 2, 93 octane plus full bolt ons. I have a 2018 RS3 stage 1+ 93 octane with an intake and intercooler. His best time was 11.15@122 and mine was 11.34 @120. There's really not much difference on pump gas. He also broke his DS installing the Uni DP. There are some intangible benefits like sound and faster spool, but for power gains the value proposition is not great.
Definitely not with it. Get the 3.0T in the S4, SQ5 and S5… all of these upgrades including Downpipe are extremely easy to perform since it’s a mono turbo hot center V. On top of it all, the DSG trans will not be as reliable as the 8-Speed ZF.
Would you still choose this over your S6? This is literally my dilemma and want to know what would be a better daily driver compared to this or stage 3 S6. They both seem equally as fast and similar 0-60 and 1/4 times.
Great question. I would say S6 for sure makes a better daily driver. Much roomier, better comfort etc. Love that V8TT. Overall powerband is just amazing. RS3 has a much more exotic flavor. Handling its far better than the S6 but as a daily I prefer S6. 😌
great question... I will say the A3 FBO with APR felt more responsive especially from a dig. The RS3 has far more power overall but it does feel more gradual.

Great points! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Not worth it unless you really want the sound tbh. I went stage 2 and I LOVE the sound but bang for buck, stage 1+ is the best easily
I agree. I have a 2010 S4 stage 1 IE. 91 octane. Just doesn't make sense to spend $3500ish for 50 HP
Yes sir! Very steep investment

Oh yeah, simple answer go out and buy another car I don't want. 😆
My point is if you had a choice between the two cars.

This is a video about the RS3, not any of the other cars you mentioned.

Stage 1+ is best overall for daily use bang for your buck
For sure!
Whew, $4k for 50HP? Sounds like NA Infiniti Cost:Gain.
🤑🤑🤑😭😭😭
Nice mayo!
Thanks dude! I need to spend more time playing it when I'm not doing car stuff!
Any thoughts on the APR tune from the A3 build vs the RS3 Unitronic Tune?

How do you like the RS3 compared to the 340i ??
Both amazing cars, planning on doing a comparison of the B58 vs DAZA platforms soon
So building the stage 3 s6 was a better option
The 4.0T is hard to beat for easy big power!
4k$? Jeepers
gotta pay to play! lol
