I feel like he just played the game from the less fortunate good guys 500 years ago, except that on the way in those 500 years he became insane due to his obsession.
This is similar to what if someone killed Kiana now, I would've waited every day for the next patch hoping Mihoyo would write a chapter that erases the timeline in which it happened and bring us back to the right path, even the characters in said timeline where she died would accept being erased if it's to bring her back to life, so Kallen didn't have as many fans as Kiana because she didn't have any strong powers to save humanity or whatever but she was Otto's everything.
A villain with a right cause.. just like Kevin, and probably few others, Mihoyo likes making us cry they take the opportunity even when it's a villain

I was expecting Himeko tragedy. Got hit by the Otto tragedy instead. It hurts the same way of expecting to be hit by a truck from your right, only to be struck by a car from your left.
Himeko is entry level tragedy compared to what comes after tbh.

otto yeah i would agree creating kiana was a huge key factor but it wasn't enough. prometheus and humanity from 50,000 years ago created a fighting chance for future humans and ensure that the will of honkai be limited and stop it from evolving
the game only glances of the shit otto has done , the comics had a lot of scene where he killed off people because they were only at the wrong time and the wrong place. and he's entirely innocent why kallen died anyway. the guy was doing experiments on children and the homeless before even kallen died.

I also believed Eren was wrong because the Founding titan could've been used more efficiently than killing millions of innocent babies and children in the process. (The guy killed more innocent people than Hitler and Stalin together)
Otto is a clown and monster that deserves our respect because of his unwavering determination. But nonetheless, its clear that he didn't have to inflict 500 years of PTSD to majority of the cast. He may have paved the way to victory, but there were more ethical ways to do that with his intellect and Schicksal's resources
than (for example) orchestrating the Herscher of the Void's rampage

I mean, why did he even sacrifice Himeko when all he needed was HoV's abilities which he already can control by that time.

I don't think it's stated anywhere that Otto stopped existing across multiple timelines, nor that an otto from the new branch is non existant. The Otto that we know used his life, that much is confirmed; nothing else as far as I know. We have Luocha still so arguably he wouldn't exist if that's the case.
@@riku861Well, technically Every Otto Apocalypse that exist and have same experience where Kallen death will disappear. A person like Luocha maybe only have same appearance but either have different name or experience toward Kallen death still exists. And Possibly Kallen HSR version is still life.
