THANK YOU BRO!! I’m on the crown 309 mj with a 30 tension grommet and this is the only thing I’m struggling with, p1 wavedash. I needed a grip style that matched my backdash motion.
i have the same stick same grommet, put the tip of the stick inbetween your index and middle at the base of your fingers, use pinky at the base of the stick to help. you just have to roll your hand like a wave and itll come out. i hope this makes sense
I never really considered using my thumb like that for the wavedash on P1, it helped me wonders and it got me doing a lot smoother without feeling so awkward
What brand and model of stick are you using? Is that ball top? How come your inputs are so clean. Because it’s not working on hori fighting stick alpha.
This is wavedash and mishimas have it. Jin, armor king, bob , hwoarang also have it. If you do this input backwards and not forward it WILL be a backdash cancel EXCEPT with bryan and paul because of sway
I'm trying It with Xbox x controller but i cant reach your Speed i did the cancels but no man not like you i Just want to know if im losing time using a Xbox controller or i Need and arcade joystick?

As a melee player, I wont lie I expected this to be harder. Learning to wavedash in melee took hours upon hours of practice. This took 10 minutes. BUT it will take hours to actually master it and know when to use it. Coming from melee to traditional fighters has been awesome but in a way somewhat of a let down. Melee is a hard game to learn. I sort of expected MODERN traditional fighters (what a weird naming scheme) to be the same but they just aren't. But it does make it far more approachable and thats great.
I'm still shocked that the smash community is still divided to brawl and melee Sad that Nintendo doesn't support the competitive community of smash since it's only a party game in their eyes.
No doubt this is the best wavedash tutorial so far.
Thanks Atlante. I appreciate it!
Best wavedash I’ve seen. Answered all my question, short and simple.
Ya know, hearing the audio cue for the actuator input in timing is what helped me. Thnx bro
What a clean tutorial. This was great.
clean guide my man,beautifully explained
Thank you! 👍
if someone gave a guide like this saying do the "wavu wavu" your in the right path.

Tutorial always super useful thank you fortunately real experienced people are there to guide us I realize how incomparable I am compared to you 🤩👍❤🔥
damn it's so hard for me :((... even doing it slow feels clunky
What lever are you using??
doryah⚡️ doryah⚡️ doryah⚡️🤜
Why is it everytime i find a wave dash vid its this song lol
Nice👍🏿 Appreciate the tutorial. Wonder if this could be used for Kazuya in Smash Ultimate too🤔
Leverless version please
That arcade stick where you bought it, is it wired? And the wavedash can be with all the characters?
Can you do a tutorial for curcular pads? (Eg. Razer Raion)
My hands and thumbs hurt trying to do this on a arcade stick
Is High tension grommet good for mishimas ?
King and Amor king Wavedash
awesome video dude, can you do it p1 keyboard?
Pad Versions soon :__: ?
Depends on the controller u use
Ps4 controller
You pretty much do it the same way, but with your thumb. It makes it sore a bit
It’s the same as doing EWGF but without the 2, just that it’s hard and hands get numb from holding the controller @kal
Wich lever do u use on your stick
2nd crouch dash doesnt wanna come out. on input display it looks like it should but it doesnt any idea why ?
Same Did you solve the problem ?
@@louis-alixgirault6568 there are characters that cant wave dash for example king cant wavedash

i've mastered wavedash on 2nd player but on 1st player not so much lmaooo, i still could pull it but it much slower and harder haha
What if I have fat fingers and the ball barely gets to the middle of my index and ring finger??? I literally have to cup the joystick sometimes
Please do a ball top version...!
Can I do that on Etokki Korean Edition too? Wanna buy it soon
So can only certain characters do this wave dash is does everyone have access to it like the kbd?

If you look at the outro, I've included all the characters that can wavedash. So yeah, certain characters have it.

Is your stick with a square gate?
Nive vid. That slam pad u got is also very nice.
Is dat just a bat top sanwa or Korean lever
Hitbox next please 😁
Sticks are too expensive and sadly i use pad then ended up with stick drift because of this cursed crucial tech
This is why I said I'd need a stick cause im on controller and I cannot do this consistently at all 😂
its really easy to do on controller its just not as fast as stick
Trust me the process is still really hard on stick, only real controller that makes this easier is keyboard/hitbox
