Beautiful tank! I'm setting up my first 75g this week and I hope one day it will look like yours! I have to start slow with the scape, adding the plants, and of course stocking due to budget, but it's going to get there. I'm starting with what I have in a 37g and building from there. 5 congos, a pair of kribs, 4 cherry barbs, 5 cardinals, 5 xray tetras, and one small pleco.
You got a nice tank and what appears to be a happy stock of fish. Keep doing what your doing....is nice to have something like that too look at after a long day.
@@420Sandwhich It's going pretty well, thanks. I've gotta be better about limiting the lighting, as I am getting some unwanted algae, but it's got over 50 fish in it and they all seem really happy/healthy. The plants are coming in nicely too, and I've been checking water parameters and haven't even had to do a water change yet, since the plants are doing so much of the work for me... also I have like 3 filters running on it haha, so that probably helps, one canister, one hang on the back, and one sponge filter.
Great looking aquarium. Nice variety of fish and plants. I like how you mentioned it's longevity too. I hope to keep some of my tanks running that long. Expect to make some changes along the way, but I like the thought of fish or plants living a decade or longer.
I have a dirted substrate (if you don't want to do that use aquasoil or root tabs if you only have gravel or sand) for the rooted plants and use a all-in-one type fertilizer once a week. I always use easy plants like Vallisneria, Amazon Swords, Crypts, Java Fern, Bolbitis, Moss and Anubias then I just stick with whatever worka for that particular aquarium.
