- Losing out on HP and top speed, JB makes up for it with pure talent....!!! Turn up the sound, sit back and enjoy the sound of the Torana at Bathurst. It's been while..
Bloody gorgeous to watch without Neil Crompton's voice as well lol
And the hyperbolic idiot Skaife
Thank you for uploading another video. TCM is my absolute favorite series in Australia
One of the best ever ,especially around the Mountain, I've had the pleasure to do hot laps around here with JB , one of the best things I've done . Awesome JB.
i timed one of the middle laps. 2:18
1979 main event, Brock did 2:25, on 1979 tires, shocks and a near stock, two bolt, 308. Albeit on the better version of the circuit (no walls).
wow 👌
John Bowe a true Aussie Legend 🇦🇺 I'm looking forward to the hot laps at SMP this weekend..
Can’t believe how fast it goes in first. Changing back into first at 140. I assume that’s why they have rolling starts. Kind of wish they would let them use 5 speeds. I would like to know how much faster johns car is compared to brockys way back when. I guess it’s hard to know because of the chase.
any1 notice the bpm in his speedo screen
Jeez he just shits on everyone when it come to late braking, great drive 👍
Fuck me. That's like being in an Indian Taxi with shit all over the dashboard and hanging from down the windscreen.
From the noise I guess there's a motor race going on behind all that shit.
LMTO
JB is a legend, on and off the track. Just think, that little engine that could is turning over 130revs per second at the the limiter which is nudged many times. that sound makes me happy indeed
Plenty of power in the pacer
Mate i wouldnt say just talant, even so John is a great driver, when you have little light car, even though you may not have the same accelation, but you see the small car dosnt use up its brakes and tyres like the bigger cars. The Mustang and Camaro and even ol Val must been 2 sec a lap slower from time they started till they finished
so now in 2021 my old rusty torana will do 280 km's per hour.
I'm looking forward to driving it and experiencing that new performance.
I was hoping it would get the smart up grade in the middle of the night
You can hear the obvious miscalculation of car set up. No competition on the others.
Straight line speed is one thing, but NEVER overlook the ability of brakes to give you that winning edge. Well done JB.
Can't believe channel 7 didn't show any tcm footage at all bloody disappointed about that as far as I'm concerned a piss poor telecast full stop it's 15years since the king died and they said nothing about that at all I noticed on the podium bev brock and her son was there to hand over the Peter brock trophy would have love to see the fox telecast it would have left channel 7 for dead pick up your game 7 you need to bigtime
Yes Agree.
As soon as they bring in feel good Twats like Barrets you know the telecast will be shit. Keep Larko. Retire Neil and Skaife and bring in some British superbike commentators...job done.
Top drive JB! That bloody pacer has some mumbo, that's for sure. Looks like you looked after the tyres well enough to the end.
280km on the straight and pulling up at the Chase is amazing to watch - really upgraded those factory brakes - 4 spots front and rear with 2 piece rotors? Im sure there is much more to this brake system though! Great to watch!
Its a shame you ran out of plug ins and the race was shown in the little space left
Absolutely awesome, great to see JB still out there
is the tacho reading right...hitting 8000 rpm out of forest elbow ? good driving tho.
Engine builders must love him.
Not bad for an old fella!
Thats the shit
You know this amazing Torrie has some giant diff gears when JB doesn't use anything other than 1st or 2nd gear from turn 2 all the way to Forrest's Elbow.
Could watch 1000 kms of JB doing this shit
JB the legend, like a fast road rider, know to get the front in
Stop hitting that rev limiter
I'd like to see how times you'd hit it.
