I would love to see both of these gentlemen, run to hold office it may not be what they would want for their lives. But I can't help but feel, it's what the country certainly needs! My heart tells me you are both, sincere and genuine, come on guys America needs people like you, now more than ever. Genuine leadership, not for personal gain.
Amazing, you can tell you guys have truly become friends. We need this conversation to be broadcast on every channel to just show two great people being good human beings. We need the love and humanity you both have
I went to this, because of a Tic Toc. In college, I was the white man with questions for my black roommate. I grew up in lilly white Hollywood Hills, Florida in the 70s and 80s. Eric taught me a lot, and we remain friends today. He was one of the drivers that led me into teaching in communities of color for nearly thirty years now. A white man can comfortably live his entire life avoiding the issues of the black and brown communities from which he is still rather segregated. That’s changing, and those who never bothered to ask or tried to understand are now scared. And confused. And angry. We (yes, we) have to see changing their outlet as an objective. There are plenty of Lynns out there, but there are those that most give up on. We can fix this. It’s not impossible. Thank you, Mr. Acho and Mr. McConaughey for your contributions on this discussion.
Currently working from home. Thank God phones are down tonight😊 This conversation definitely fed my soul and confirmed that I'm heading in the right direction! This truly makes me wanna continue to be a better version of myself. Just purchase the book...can't wait to dive in!!!!
Emmanuel you are truly a gift and a man of strength, gift because you have given so much of your gifts from God to educate us, strength because you never gave up after football you kept living and I appreciate you, thank you for all you do for everyone
I consider it a privilege to spend some time listening to, two very good human beings, sharing some of their wisdom with each other and the rest of the world.
Hi Emmanuel and Matthew! Love you both this conversation is so full of depth, enlightenment, and pure gratitude, you can feel the chemistry and kinship god bless both of you men and your families, looking forward to seeing you two together again, giving us if you will more of these gems your dropping on us.🙏🏿
Can't say it enough. Acho you are doing great things and there is no gratitude in the world that can express how thankful I am for you continuing to do this work. So much love.
this was so many lights: delightful, enlightening, and lights ON. My t-shirt motto is "Logical Makes No Sense to Me!" and this convo brought that home in an incredible way. Thank you both for this- my heart is full- again- by an Emmanuel Acho episode.
You two. You’re doing it. You’ve got the thing. You make me believe I can have the thing. I just need to use my thing… but I’m still trying to find it… love you guys, you’re an inspiration!
Thank you! I’m listening to MM’s book right now - just finished the year in Australia - and definitely want to read/listen to Illogical next. This conversation was just what I needed this morning. Thank you again! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Need more likes, to get more views. This conversation is an life learning experience. Great work. Keep it up. Appreciate ya'll, it's a Texas thang. Fort Worth in the house.
This was the sexiest most enlightening conversation I've heard 🤗. This is what all communities need. After school programs, need this, our millennials need this of all ethnicities🥰
I like the perspective that it's not failing, but it's falling. If you fall, get up, go on and learn lessons from those falls, you become wiser, less traumatized or less affected by those "falls" and you know you have the ability to choose from other unlimited options if you don't allow self-doubt to cloud your vision. That's where "the commas" Emmanuel mentioned come into play. Loved this discussion about moving forward illogically.
Great conversations......A brothehood. Matthew has been one of my favourite actor. Emmanuel is so simple, articulate and full of FAITH. Great conversations as always
That's why when going thru mental illness and you badly want your story to end BUT if you stay thru the Unbearable Pain (when you basically don't see a way out BUT You Stay) & thing's DO change .... Not overnight BUT when You Stay They DO CHANGE & where you Thought You were going to use a Period You End Up Using a Semicolon Because Your Story has NOT Ended!!!! Mental Health Survivors ; Keep Fighting the Good Fight!!!!
Enjoy these convocations, so to speak, as they stimulate thinking. I try to see how I fit into the topics discussed or if not why? Society pressures us to conform to certain norms in order for it to function as a whole. But as with anything the individual will not completely adhere to either and yet will be both, the Society and the Individual.
I most thank you guys, this is a very meaningful topic to me personally and close to my heart cause even tho I’d never gave up on my god’s gifted talent and project and my dream as a singer performer which I’d been working very hard and going through every struggle and and tough events of hardships sacrifice it all along the way the illogical it’s what’s guide to towards the resilience zone to navigate into the uncomfortable conversations of life in general, that’s” been the key” that’s still have me going forward, with faith believing that anything in live it’s possible and that I can in the right time I hope can be sooner then later. Thank you gentlemen, thanks a million cause everything you spoke it’s related to me to a point of encouragement confirmation and elevation in my self believe cause this a reassurance that after all I been in the right path. And god and the universe would never be wrong. I haven’t come out fully with my artistry concept yet cause sadly there’s a main factor and that is financial but” I don’t lose hope on to find an interested investor to turn my project into something megalithic massive, But hey I’m here standing still and believing in me and that what I have it’s main to be put out there to move people and touch heart and shake crowds and masses with what I know as an artist I will. I wanna thank you and wish you lots of success. And I thank god for allowing me to find y’all! Blessings! Hey
Actually, the absolute BEST way to be successful is to delight yourself in the LORD! (Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.). I like what Acho did here, but More & more I see the world talking about what we have, what we do, etc....but very little is ANY credit given to our Creator!!!!! Jesus said without Him we can do nothing! I desire that people would give credit to the LORD JESUS, otherwise changing your own Will will often get you.your reward, but not always what God wants for you. Help Jesus! He gave some of what the preachers say about faith by seeing what is not so, but no preacher or Jesus got the credit.
16:03: The story about the four-minute mile reminds me of the saying: Someone who says it is impossible is often interrupted by someone doing it. _(which, according to wikiquote, is a paraphrase of a quote by Elbert Hubbard)_
Why do sexually experienced males think that they are entitled to marry a virgin female; but, sexually experienced females are tilted as dirty and not worthy of marrying a virgin male?
The first question about “mistakes that you would not UNDO” and the reply by both, makes me think…we make choices and mistakes can be the paths we did not take or regret of the path that we took. I feel that choices are what make ur life. Mistakes teach u. Mistakes are necessary for us to evolve. Even if I make a grave error in my choices, I have to live it out. I have to work with the consequences. That mistake is surely going to define my future choices. So my thought is, just don’t regret anything of the past. Review but not regret. Just a thought
May I kindly and respectfully suggest that we begin with recognizing, reconciling, restoring, and renewing the connection and relationship with source of life, flow of life, and our authentic selves through admitting, accepting, allowing, healing, letting go, and moving on in a healthy and good way before we decide to embark upon such a great endeavour and journey? For me, I have come to know and understand that I must clearly and concisely identify, research, develop, implement, change-manage, maintain, sustain, and grow an honest, open, willing, accountable, responsible, and transparent platform and framework within me before I can create it outside of me and within my human experience. Just a suggestion. Tapwe', A'ho, and Hiy, Hiy...
As a white woman who grew up in Philly and experienced racism as the only white girl. Being beat up, called “cracker” “wigger” “honky”and having to fight my way through school to prove I could fit in. Being hit by police when walking with my black friends because they thought I was plotting with “them”. I would love to start a RUclips channel and reverse the role to help white girls who still struggle now, to find their way and explore how to educate all races on the effects of racism from both sides of the spectrum. I enjoy uncomfortable conversations! Because I firmly believe that these types of conversations MUST be had. I don’t want to be the only white woman invited to the BBQ, I think we should have that BBQ with everyone included, but an understanding has to be had. It’s an embarrassment to myself to see the “Karens” knowing what I had to go through to be me, Kelly.
If I weren’t married for the 3rd time (I would be chasing Matthy typo but cute 🥰 crush nickname) down for his talent wisdom and compassion ❤️🩹 toward others selfless genuine actor and advocate for humanitarian services
Either one of these guys would make a far better choice for POTUS than our current incumbent or his orange predecessor. We really need someone with some original ideas, and a firm independence from Wall Street as POTUS.
Dude ,I can't even stomach the 25 poster quotes in the first 5 minutes. Can be never just speak without trying to sound brilliant by saying a few groups of words so slowly that they are making it clear they think it's highly profound and you need a few to absorb 😅😂.
What is illogical is to think that only because it was recorded in 1952, for a man to run a mile in four minutes, this would to be so and those are the only times that happened in the entire world until that year. The whole world. What makes the whole world? Right from the start he tested every single human on earth to make this claim. Is this said by someone that saw men trying to accomplish this actual act and had their hearts burst, stopped and died? Illogical because of how it is being said and done. Studies to me are what it is being limited and once it is knowledge to people. It is humans wanting to prove it can be done even better and established records on the studies. How can we forget that for most of it, it is nature and the instinct to do better. Tell me that it can’t be done, and I will prove you wrong attitude. Is instinct, is attitude, is nature, is revering, is being human.
Outstanding! I was thinking the same exact thing! It would be amazing to have actual sound’ in the White House

Love these Men. Need more people like them.

Emmanuel, you're so right about the chaos. I learned my strengths and beauty in the chaos. I'm stronger than I thought i was, amen 🙏🏾 💐
Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon with Emanuel Aco and Matthew McConaughey. Loved the format and will do it again with Book People.
I was about to see y’all live for this conversation, I’m so glad I went! I hope y’all keep having these conversations in the future 😊

What do you think your thing is? What do you think of when you think about "your thing"
Great collaborative, very great conversation!!
Wow!!! That was beautiful. Both of you kept my attention the entire time and that was a great conversation that left me feeling inspired. Thank you.

Dear friends let's be illogical
So we can be ourselves and
Perhaps change the universe.
“We put periods where commas belong.” Awesome! 😊

Amazing convo! Thank you both 🙏🏻
Love this! You both make me think and reflect and pray I can do all things right. Keep this up!!

Blessed! Amazing!!!
Why is loyalty so difficult and rare?
Why do men say that character matters, but they chase after fame and fortune?
Why do sexually experienced males think that they are entitled to marry a virgin female; but, sexually experienced females are tilted as dirty and not worthy of marrying a virgin male?
I especially appreciated the advice to use my thing as much as possible. Word up, ha
Love the show and chat. What’s up with Ocho’s audio? Was his LAV off and they’re using a room mic?

Eagles fan hete from downtown Philadelphia was in awe when they won the supwrbowl in my lifetime. Go Eagles
