- Mixed Media Tags Using Clean Up Paper Towels From Easter
I gathered all of the paper towels that were in a pile to be thrown away the day we colored Easter eggs with my granddaughter. The towels were so pretty I had to save them and use them. I hope you enjoy. :-)

Love the idea of using clean up paper towels. Pretty colors. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Laura. :-). I'm still finding glitter. lol It's fun though. Thanks for taking time to comment. I appreciate it. Have a wonderful day. :-)
Pretty tags. Love how the paper towels made such lovely backgrounds. What a fun way to use them.
+carol m Hi Carol :-) Thank you!!! It was fun...I admit I got a little tired of the paper after a billion hours went by. lol Those paper towels went a long way and I even through some of it away. lol I did enjoy these tags though. :-) Thanks so much. :-)

This is an oldie but a goodie. I have a few paper towels to use and enjoyed getting some ideas of how to use them. Thanks!
Thank you Laura :-)
When you showed the canvas horizontally with the mostly light colors on top, I saw a fireplace scene in there....wow, just wow! You've set off my creative instincts...love you for that!
Cool :-) I'm so glad Judith. Thanks so much. :-)
Tags just a miracle! But your paper ... Something it reminds me ... LOL
+MR.VICTOR CRAFTER Thank you Victor. :-)
All that yummyness from paper towels. Beautiful tags and I cant wait to see what you do with the canvas
+Lucia McGill I know right? lol It's amazing what you can wind up with using stuff like that isn't it? :-) Thank you very much. I'm wondering what to do with the canvas. I can't work on it for a while so I'll be thinking on it but I know I don't want to cover up those pretty colors with too much. Hmmmmm....
great video, loved the idea! Will be saving my paper towels now lol! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
Hi Pam. :-) Thanks so much. Those paper towels from that day went soooo far. I still have the canvas I covered with them sitting off to the side needing to be finished and I still have scraps and tags in my bin needing to be finished from that day. It's a fun way to use them and keeps the memory of the fun going longer. :-) Thanks so much for watching and leaving a note. I appreciate it. :-)
You're a kick to watch! I love your art and your personality - always thinking! Thank you so much!
Hi Barbara :-) Thank you very much. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I really appreciate you sweet comment. Have a wonderful day. :-)
Looks like you had a lot of fun with your granddaughter!! Those tags were gorgeous before you even decorated them! I love the purplish one with the big orange flower and the gold scalloped trim. Beautiful!!
+Lori H Thank you Lori. I liked them before they were decorated too. I was very tempted to leave them that way. :-)
Hi Laurie these are gorgeous! I just love it when the "leftover" stuff is renewed into such beauty. Thanks for sharing. Great ideas here!
Thanks Adrine. I love using leftovers too. :-) Have a great evening. :-)

+joy'shere Thank you very much Joy. :-) I like that canvas too. I don't have a clue what to do to it. It will be a while before I can get back to it so I have time to think about it. :-)
Lovely! TFS!
+Lani Le Designs Thank you Lani. :-) My pleasure. :-)
Really pretty tags, canvas, and "fabric"! Those colors are absolutely gorgeous!!!
I would suggest mixing 2 parts glue + 1 part water in a container, and use that to glue your napkins.. I find it much easier, faster, and efficient 😊
TFS Laurie! x.o
Just beautiful results!
+R Hunt Thank you very much. I appreciate you watching and leaving me a note. :-)

Hi Theresa :-) Thank you very much. It was fun to use them because they were from such a special day. :-) They went a long way in covering too and I even threw some away at the end. Thanks so much for watching. :-)
Laurie, I love this ideal. I am very inspired by this.
Thanks Libby. I'm glad to hear that!!! :-)
The tags turned out beautiful and the canvas did too! They will hold lots of special memories. 😊
+Cat Hand Thank you Cathy. :-) I agree....special memories for sure. :-)
I really like this idea! I haven't had much success with other ideas using paper towels or baby wipes. Yours turned out so beautifully!! I'm going to try the canvas idea. If I have paper towels that are too plain, I just add a little color. I LOVE how the deli paper turned out, especially the crunchy sound, lol! Thanks for the inspiration!~~Liz
Hi Liz. Thanks so much. I'm glad you like them. Oh yes, I love the crunchy sound too. :-) Thank you for watching. :-)

Thanks Alana :-) Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. :-)

+Debbie Few Hi Debbie. :-) Thank you very much. :-)
Oh WOW those are beautiful paper towels! =)
Yeah... glitter and splatters get EVERYWHERE!! ;)
Hi Baylee. =) I heard her digging. =)
The tags are so pretty!
Hmmm. "here's the story Stef... " ... um... the first thing that came to mind was "Full House"... but I doubt that's what it's from.
Your Canvas is looking SO pretty! =)
awe, poor Baylee. (mower guys)
The Deli paper is cool, too. =)
If you're having fun, that's what matters. ;)
I love the ICADs & playing cards too. =)
Yeah, it does look homemade paper. =)
The last tag looks SO pretty before the odds and ends additions. And then it's great with the add ons. =)
All the finished tags look awesome. =) I love the "Momento" idea. (for the backs) =)
+Phoebe Good try. :-) "What's the story Stef" is from the movie Grease II. :-) I think I said "Here's the story Stef" because I was going to explain something. I should have kept the quote accurate. lol You are the only person to even mention that I said that. :-)
Thank you Phoebe. Those paper towels went a long way. I wonder what will become of that canvas. :-)
oh, I see. ;) I should have gotten that, because I watched (and liked) that movie. I guess it was too long ago, since I watched it to remember.
;) Yeah, I wonder too, about that canvas.
I can't believe I didn't respond to this 'til today! Sorry about that!
Love it all!
+Hanny Tromp (Trompke) Thank you Hanny :-)
Beautiful tags Laurie😀
+Nina Ribena Thank you Nina :-) :-)
Hello :) wow they are just fabulous
Thank you Sylvia. :-) I'm glad you like them. It's a great way to use up painty towels and napkins. :-)
Hi there! I'm new to art things so I hope I don't offend you by asking: could you have used ModgPodg instead, the one which are made for seal a surface and becomes a bit stiff? Or regular Modgpodge ?
Hi Eileen :-) Not offended at all. :-) Yes, you absolutely could use Mod Podge or Decou-Page or any other type of sealer/glue that you like. Without re watching the video I don't remember why I used regular glue. But, I think it is because I had it on hand and I tend to use whatever is on hand at the time. Also, I did a lot of gluing and I could have gone through an entire bottle of Mod Podge so the Elmers Glue was more cost effective. And I also like how it thins out with water when covering a larger service like I did on one of the projects. But you can use any type of sealer you prefer and get good results. I hope that helps. :-) Thank you for watching and leaving a note. Have a wonderful week. :-)

This was such a great video. I know the mess you were faced with because I've done the shaving cream eggs but we always used wipies to clean up but now I think I am going to start using paper towels. Love the look of the deli paper as well. I'm having a hard time finding that in my neck of the woods. Looks like apparently I need to bite the bullet and order from amazon cause that was some good looking paper you had there. Also, if you haven't learned it by now, I'll tell you the secret to life with glitter, use Bounce Dryer sheets. Those little dryer sheets just picks up every little speck of it. Thanks again, oh, another question, on the tags where you were adding so much thickness, did you not think that a hot glue gun would have been a better choice for gluing these items on? If not, curious why? Funny how different artist have their favorite glue techniques. I've seen some use hot glue for cards and I would have never thought of that. But, to each their own.
Thank you Lori. I'm glad you liked it. The glue is just a personal preference. I used to use it years ago but now seldom do. Thank you for watching. :-)
I love watching you too. Perhaps next time try glue and water mixed?
Thank you Louise :-) Glue and water works great and I did some of that too. I used a spray bottle to spritz before adding the glue. You can see that at 16:33. I probably didn't do it the entire time. Just when I needed it because my sponge was wet. :-)
I know this video is old but you can get deli paper at a Costco business center. Most states have a business center somewhere. Call your regular Costco and ask them to give you number for the business center and they’ll give it to you.
Only place in phoenix I’ve found that has it without ordering. Great prices also. 1000 sheets of 10x10 for $10. They have more sizes and colors and thickness also.
