I absolutely love your tags. Great idea to use the staz on ink to start with and your whimsical drawings are adorable. Who wouldn't want one of these tags??? Thank you.
Thanks Lori...it is very fun and relaxing. Low pressure. lol I plan to do more with other stamps too...I just haven't had time yet. I hope you try them. :-)
I absolutely love all of your videos. I'm going to go tag crazy. I just need to get to the store for some embellishments to use.bthsank you for the inspiration.
The stuff you used up back then is the stuff I have now. I’m sure I don’t have as much but I’m still trying to use it up. I love your tags. They are so pretty!
@@BlackbearyForest I sure will do that. I just made 16 tags and used up some stickers and papers. Some are magazine cut outs which I have way too many. So sweet! I love these! I, too, am on a mission to use up a lot of my stash. Thanks for the inspiration, I am now looking forward to making some pretty tags of my own. Thanks so much for sharing!
Hi Jennifer :-) Thank you very much. I am so glad you like them and feel inspired to create some. Using up stash is harder than it sounds. lol You think when you buy something you want to hold on to it because if you use it it will be gone. Nooooo, it haunts you the rest of your life. lol Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment. :-)
Awesome!!! I'm so glad you made one. And I'm so glad you will make some tags. I think that's just great!!! Thank you for letting me know. I appreciate it. And thank you for watching. :-)
I love these! They are so colorful & upbeat. That stamp looks so familiar. I started looking through my stuff & it turns out I have it. Now, once again you've inspired me & I will use it! Thanks for sharing another fun project☺️
Hi Adrine :-) Thank you. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed them. And that's awesome that you have the stamp. I'm so glad you are inspired to make some. Have fun!!! :-)
beautiful tags Laurie I just love your style I too I'm working on using stuff that I already have in my stash it's amazing how much stuff I buy and never use or forget about so it's fun rediscovering all my goodies thanks for the inspiration as always
Thanks so much Shemi. :-) I am amazed by it too. And a lot of this stuff is 20 years old. The sticky doesn't stick anymore on some of it. lol And I am finding I have way more fun using it than hoarding it so if I ever get it dwindled down there will be no more of that holding on to stuff. Now....write that down and remind me in a few years I said that because I have a feeling I will need reminding. lol
Hi Mildred. :-) Part I is up...Part II is almost ready. I just need to add in some voice over but haven't had the privacy and time to do it yet. I love this so much! I think it's great for everybody to try something like this as it's a lot of creativity but still simple enough for everyone to do. Thank you for always sharing your wonderful art. I make videos to in years are top-notch!
Hi Lisa :-) Thank you. I'm glad you like them. They are very easy to do. :-) Thanks so much for watching and leaving a note. I always appreciate hearing from you. :-)
I have watched this video before and loved it so now I am watching it again. I am going to give this a try. I love the way the tags turned out. I have seen many of your videos. You really do have a knack for this stuff and you are very inspiring! Thanks for making these videos.
These tags are awesome Laurie! I love them. Ok...so I must be on delay because I've never seen those Adornment Fun Fibers before. Tried looking them up....no go...no one sells them so I can only assume...its been some time. lol... Anyway...staying tuned for what's next!! TFS
Thanks so much. :-) Oh gosh, yes, it has been quite some time that I got those fibers. I got them from a quilt shop called The Cherry Pit that is in Sevierville when I lived in Gatlinburg. I have had them for at least 10 years or more. I did do a search on Amazon and a few results came back so I would check there. I used the search words Adornment Fun Fibers. :-)
Your smoothie sounds so yummy! I love cayenne and add it to many of my foods as well! I especially love it in pumpkin pie, French toast and cinnamon toast. And cinnamon toast slathered with a bit of coconut oil instead of butter. Love your tags! Your white tags could be stained with some coffee by just setting it painted side up into a flat dish with some dark coffee. It will soak it into the paper fibers and look amazing!
Hi Roberta :-) It is very yummy. I didn't think I would like it because of the cayenne pepper but I love it. And I am amazed at all the things you use cayenne pepper on that I never would have thought to use it on. We use a lot of coconut oil instead of butter too. :-) Thank you, I am glad you like the tags. I used to live in coffee and tea dye back when I made primitive dolls. lol I could have stained those tags but I was lazy. lol But I think you are right...they would look good (probably better) that way. I need to make some more for a project so maybe I'll get them all done then dye them like you suggested. :-) Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment. I appreciate it. :-)
Thank you, Laurie! I so appreciate you sharing your art. I have been a fan for about the last two years. I started making cards about 3 years ago, making them with my 6 grandchildren, ages 2 to 10. They LOVED it! My two year old granddaughter even used the BigKick by herself with me supervising as she wanted to do it all herself! I started watching YT videos and watched a lot of Lindsay Weirich. I started to branch out and watch other videos about mixed media morsels and ATC's too. Found you and numerous other talented artists and gleaned much from each of you. This year I decided to make videos of how I art and that has been a lot of fun, but also a learning curve. Still much to learn about making a video processed so that it is enjoyable to watch. As for the cayenne, I also made my own seasoning spice of REAL SALT, pepper, turmeric and cayenne which I use daily to season most "salty" type foods. Eggs, chili, spaghetti, meats, burgers... I am into eating healthy and turmeric is great for fighting cancer and cayenne contains capsaicin so it is a great natural pain reliever. Capsaicin can also reduce substance P, a chemical which carries pain messages to the brain. That means less pain is felt. Have a blessed day, Laurie!
Thank you Roberta....that's so sweet of you. :-) I appreciate it. :-) Kids are so fun to art with. I loved creating with my niece when she was little. She is 13 now but we plan to get together this summer and do some creating. :-) I would love to create with my grandchildren but they do not live close by. I will create with them when I can though. :-) Oh yes, there is a learning curve to making videos and I'm still learning too. :-) Thanks so much for the info on the spices. I love the cayenne pepper in that drink and I plan on using it much more often than I used to. We are all about using natural things to aid in whatever issues come up. Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for your sweet note. :-)
Hi Christine. Thank you very much. And thank you so much for subscribing....welcome to my channel. :-) Thanks for watching and I appreciate your kind comment. :--)
This is such a cute idea. I don't have a tag stamp but I was thinking maybe I could use a background stamp on a file folder then, on top, trace around a tag for the shape. Just a thought. I, too, have loads of those fibers (grrr) and I need to use them up. Thanks for the ideas. ~~rita
Your idea is great and absolutely would work just fine. I need to make more of these and had planned to make them using a different stamp that wasn't tag shaped. I just have too much on the planned list and haven't had time yet. lol I used up all three of those fibers packages! It felt great. Now to use up my drawers of ribbons and fibers. It never ends. lol Thanks so much for watching. :-)
ohhh, don't get me started on ribbon. I recently gave away a bankers box full of ribbon and I still have a four drawer storage cart full...grrr. I realized my obsession with buying "stuff" and have called a halt to it. I'm on a mission to use up what I have. Have a good one.
Well, this was sooner than I expected. lol I didn't realize the next comment was from you too. lol Hello again. :-) Thank you Ginny. I appreciate you. :-)
Yeah, Baylee sure is a character. =) my goodness, eating all those poor worms.... and has a mind of her own for where to go.... hmmm. That's a cool stamp. (the tag). Yeah, hopefully You Tube won't cause you troubles... I didn't hear the music, so, I think you did good. =) I'm sure that drink is delicious. =) I hope to be able to try it one day, soon. =) WOW! 30 bags! I look forward to seeing that project. =) I love the 12 tags you made. =)
I don't know why those worms don't crawl out of the sun when it starts to get hot so they don't dry up. I can't tell you how many worms I have tried to save in the morning. lol Baylee likes the dried ones...I think it's kinda gross. lol Oh good....if you can't hear it then I might be good. :-) Thanks Phoebe :-)
Laurie..Lovey Laurie! Hi. How are you? Baylee is sassy and will only do on her terms, lol. Gorgeous tags. Paper bag art...yep, I'm seeing a lot of those. : ) Can't wait to see what you create next. Love and Hugs Theresa
Hey Theresa :-) I'm good thank you. :-) Yes, Baylee does her own thing on her own time. lol Thank you. I'm glad you liked the tags. :-) Thanks so much for watching and leaving a note. :-)
You are so welcome but you are in trouble....the tag stamp you used is just gorgeous and I want it. I lucked out and found it on sale at Joann's today. I bought the little one that goes with the big one too.
Oh gosh.....I am so sorry I forced you to the store and stood over you while you put that stamp in your basket and then stole your wallet and made you pay for it. I don't know what came over me. lololol I hope I don't stay in the dog house too long. lol I am glad you found the stamp though. :-) I didn't see the smaller one but if I ever see it I'll get it too. I do have a smaller one of a different design though that I have enjoyed using. I really like them. They are fun to use. Have fun using yours. :-) :-) Have a great day. :-)
Hi Kim. Thank you. :-) That paints I am using in this video are just cheap acrylic paints you can get from Hobby Lobby or Michaels. The ones I use most are from Deco Art Americana. Sometimes I use Folk Art. Sometimes I use Anitas. Any of them will do the trick. :-) Thank you for watching. I appreciate it. :-)
Hi Shirley. Glad you found me...welcome. :-) I used fiber yarns that I got from a scrapbook store and a quilt store years ago. I used to see them at Hobby Lobby but I can't say the last time that was. Just look for yarns or fiber yarns or maybe fiber trims when searching. Hope to see you again. :-)
Hi Brenda. The citrus drink I had is made with about 1 cup of water (add more later if you need it) 2 navel oranges, 2 red grapefruit, 2 bananas, 8 - 12 strawberries depending on their size and cayenne pepper to taste. I blend it all together in my Vita-Mix. It's yummy. :-)
These are so cute, you did a good job with the filming I have a Pazzles die cutting machine (my 3rd love preceded only by my hot smokin' cadillac of a sewing machine and my partner, Steve #1 of course =) Laurie, what is the standard size of a tag? My Pazzles doesn't really have a stock size and I am imagining they are about 2.5 x 5? I have wondered about that as I can make them any size. Love your Bailey stories. I have a houseful of furry kids and they definitely do rule the roost. Great job, btw. I love your channel.
Hey Linda :-) Thank you! :-) I don't know that there is one certain standard size tag. I think there are several that are considered "standard". But....I think in mixed media the most used size tags are the #8 tags which are 6 1/4 x 3 1/8. However, I use all sizes. I make my own from packaging a lot of times (video coming up on that too for the Junk Your Stuff videos lol) and I don't care what size they are. Here is a link to a site that has an image of standard size tags you can look at too. www.advantag.ca/stock-tags/ I'm glad you enjoy the Baylee stories. I enjoy her even though she is quite stubborn at times. lol Thanks again Linda. I'm happy to have you here. :-)
Hey thanks for the info. Funny thing, I ran into another video right after I asked and she gave a size on the video of, 3 1/4 x 6 1/4 "standard" for the ones you buy, close to your size. I thought that was funny =)
You are very welcome. The size I gave you is also the size of the tag die by Tim Holtz that was/is so popular. I thought I would use the heck out of that die but I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I like making my own and whatever size they wind up...they wind up. lol Story of my life. lol You have a great day. :-)
Yes, that's what I do as well. I have just wondered what the actual sizes of the things are, don't ask me why...I use my Pazzles wonder to cut them and shape them to match my journals =)
Thanks Laurie, in real life that's my first name as well! BTW, I happened to like the tag you didn't! Amazing how beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes we can be so self critical of ourselves, can't we?
I am not where I can measure the stamp or finished tags right now but I will try to remember to do that when I am in the studio again. If I don't get back to you with a measurement by next week remind me ok? But, having said that, any size tag will work. You can buy pre made shipping tags or if you make your own just cut any size you want. If I had to guess at the size of the ones I made I would guess them to be approx. 3" wide by approx. 4 - 4 1/2 " tall. :-)
I'm not sure this is what you are asking but I'll answer what I think your question is. Decou-Page is just a brand name by Deco Arts and it's like Mod Podge and used to decoupage or glue or seal.
I love all your work and your videos are great. Your projects all look so fun and I enjoy the stories about Bailey.
Thanks so much Michele :-) I really appreciate your kind comment. It's very encouraging. Thank you for watching. I appreciate it. :-)

This is so cute I love them💝
Thanks so much Lisa. :-) And thank you for watching. I appreciate it. :-)
so very pretty!
Thank you Meri :-)
Cute tags 😊
Thank you Shel :-)
What kind of paints are you using? These are too cute!
Hi Kim. :-)
Just found your page. Looking forward to watching more. What are you using as the tassels?
@@BlackbearyForest thank you!
You are very welcome. :-)
Where did you get that stamp?? Love it!!!
I am not sure which store because it has been a while but I got it on clearance at either Hobby Lobby or Joanns. :-)
It's a Stampendous stamp. She said the name of it in the video. Try Google.
That smoothie sounds yummy! How did you make it?
Hi Brenda. The citrus drink I had is made with about 1 cup of water (add more later if you need it) 2 navel oranges, 2 red grapefruit, 2 bananas, 8 - 12 strawberries depending on their size and cayenne pepper to taste. I blend it all together in my Vita-Mix. It's yummy. :-)
Thank you so much for the recipe. Definitely going to try it .
You are very welcome.
Inquiring minds gotta know. lol I am the same way even though the information doesn't get used sometimes. lol
Did you make your own decoupage ?
Hi Cara. No, I don't make my own. I prefer to use what is already made. I just pour mine into a jar to make it easier to access with my brush. :-)
Thanks Laurie, in real life that's my first name as well! BTW, I happened to like the tag you didn't! Amazing how beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes we can be so self critical of ourselves, can't we?
Oh cool...another Laurie. :-) Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. :-) Oh gosh yes, I am my own worst critic for sure! :-)
Where did you get this stamp? Love it!
I'm pretty sure I got it at Joann Fabrics. :-)
Where did you get the T175 large tag stamp?
Clearance rack at Joann Fabric a few years ago.
Love!!
Thank you Cali :-)
Great idea! Love your sense of style too! 💖 👍 I sub'd,
Thanks so much and thank you for subscribing. Welcome to my channel. :-) Thank you for watching. :-)
I have another question, are you using watercolor or acrylic?
Hi Shirley :-) I used Staz On Ink to stamp the tag image and I used acrylic paint to paint. Hope that helps. :-)
I like that tag stamp don't have anything like it
Thank you Tina. It was one of those cool finds in the clearance bin at Hobby Lobby or Joanns. :-)
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Caroline :-) And thank you for watching. I appreciate it. :-)
Oh I don't have a "stamp " tag
What r the measurements plzz
I am not where I can measure the stamp or finished tags right now but I will try to remember to do that when I am in the studio again. If I don't get back to you with a measurement by next week remind me ok? But, having said that, any size tag will work. You can buy pre made shipping tags or if you make your own just cut any size you want. If I had to guess at the size of the ones I made I would guess them to be approx. 3" wide by approx. 4 - 4 1/2 " tall. :-)
Is decopage something new or is it decopoge?
I'm not sure this is what you are asking but I'll answer what I think your question is. Decou-Page is just a brand name by Deco Arts and it's like Mod Podge and used to decoupage or glue or seal.
me gustaron muchos de sus cosas ...y sus no entiendo su idioma jajja me e suscripto . ⚘
Gracias :-)
