In order to reduce the resistance of the earth pit , we will have to increase the conductivity of the earth pit , so for that we usually drain 10L water mix with salt in the earth pit
as i know if we have current more than 200A we use minimum 2 earth pits than how we will measure earth resistance either we have to connect both earth pits and then measure or any other method plz reply
See usually in case of dual or tri vector earthing , we test the resistance of individual earth pit , not by connecting 2 together , as per the IEC standards an individual earth pit should offer a resistance of 5ohms or below it , which is a safe limit and ensures that if you have a heavy leakage current then at this resistance it will be smoothly absorbed by earth
Hi sir, You have taken the distance from E1(P1) to P2 as 10m and then P2 to E2 as 10m again. But in the connection diagram of the earth tester it's 0.62 D and 0.38D, which means they shouldn't be equal.

The reason why we conducted this earth resistance test because we had a doubt on this earth pit , as we detected that AC voltage between the neutral and earth was coming about 20-22v which was beyond limit , You are absolutely right the pit resistance should be below 5ohms , but ours was 12.16ohms , so what we did to improve it , we immersed 20liters mixture of water with rocksalt inside the earth pit to lower the resistance , and finally got value below 5ohms
Changing the direction can make the distance between earth electrode and test electrode E2 , close to the value of resistance which you will get will not be according to the standard test procedure of earth test

If you want power full earthing then go for GI PIPE MINIMUM 38MM TO 50MM(ISI) (TATA,JINDAL) OR go for COPPER PLATE earthing. in both types of earthing coal and salt are used. minimum 8 feet depth. For better result. please provide watering pipe for regularly maintain earth resistance below 5 ohms by adding saulty water every 3 to 6 months as per your requirements
Take a bucket with water 10liters and mix rock salt half kg in the bucket and pour the water in earthing pit which you want to test it will increase the conductivity of ground electrode
This is a standard set in the industry to measure the resistance, for earth test because for different distance you will get different values, which will confuse you
