Your not actually fiddling , just keeping what is yours. You owe the Government and Traitor Royals nothing. The sooner the people realise this the better.
How can you fiddle what is yours anyway?! Just think about this, the average working person in the UK is losing AT LEAST 50% of their income in tax! Forget the headline income tax rate, we are taxed on everything! Well, apart from books! We are even double taxed on some things, like motor fuel, where there is fuel duty and vat. Even pensions, if you have a private pension and combined with your state pension your income exceeds the tax threshold, your private pension is taxed at source!! You already paid income tax to pay into that pension, which by virtue of your foresight lessons your dependence on the state, but you taxed again on that anyway! Every time you buy anything the state is taking 20% of that!! Little known fact, before WW2 there was no purchase tax, it was implemented after the end of the war as a TEMPORARY tax to help post war recovery, fair enough, sort of. Except it became permanent! Then, when we joined the Evil Union, we had to HARMONISE retail tax with their plundering method, so it became VAT. How is it VALUE ADDED, where is he value, except for the state?! Then there were 2 rates, if I recall correctly they were 5% and 17.5%, then it was 25% for a while!!!! And now of course 20%. This is an absurd level of tax to pay on retail goods and actively increases inflation!!! The reason for such a heavy tax burden is a government that is woefully inefficient and that has become addicted to easy money instead of doing the job properly and not wasting epic amounts of YOUR cash on utter nonsense like HS2 and illegal immigrant holiday camps. There are something like 70 or 80 thousand civil servants in the UK, all beavering away at thinking up new schemes to dip even more into our wallets and keep themselves employed, at our expense. And they can't even do the job they were actually employed to do. Same applies to councils, probably the biggest wasters of all. People of the UK need to wake up and smell the coffee or what Geoff has highlighted here and much more will get much worse. And remember, it's YOUR money!!!
I remember there were plans mooted for a smart road pricing scheme sometime in the naughties under the previous Labour government. Every time the public has a say and rejects a plan you can bet it will come again in a decade or so's time when most people will have forgotten about it.
Hi Geoff, thanks for all your hard work. Just a point of order; it is unlikely that ‘Luke’ wrote the headline for the article, that’s usually the editors job.

I watch UK column and even I'm shocked by the sheer number of NGO's operating in this country alone that are there to undermine our way of life, indoctrinate, pervert the young and many other nefarious things.
This was tried in South Africa. In 2013 "e-Tolls" were inaugurated on the freeways around and between Johannesburg and Pretoria. It was a pay for use project and it sparked a huge civil resistance movement with only 20% of users paying the tolls. The project was scrapped in 2022 with millions owed by motorists.

It needs to be publicised how they produce these figures and statistics. They hold a survey giving 3 or 4 options all of which are unpleasant to varying degrees and none of which include what people actually want. Nowhere on the survey is anywhere to record that people reject all of the options [so are forced into choosing the lesser of the evils on the list] They then produce a report saying we have spoken to the public and this is what they want. [omitting the fact that the questions were rigged] It’s like asking a condemned man how he wants to die, the option of carrying on living isn’t included so the report produced says that he has agreed to die… and by this method.
Absolutely spot on. In addition with the public profileing that exists they can ensure they survey the people who will give the answers their paymasters desire.
Great report Geoff. But who are the individuals in these organisations? What do they earn? Where does their finances come from? Keep calling out these people!!

What will happen is if you own a petrol or diesel car you will pay fuel duty & pay per mile charging, whereas ev owners will pay just pay per mile only, and that's the way they will get you out of your ICE engine. There’s no reason EV can’t pay ‘fuel duty’ either. It can be applied / recovered easily enough from public pay chargers. Home chargers are largely ‘smart chargers’ and most EVs are 4/5G enabled so an EV charge rate could easily be applied to charge taken from a domestic supply. This would even work with 3 pin granny charging.

Campaign for Better Transport is an advocacy group in the United Kingdom that promotes sustainable transport, particularly bus and rail services. It was launched as Transport 2000 in February 1973 by the National Union of Railwaymen with the Railway Industry Association, the Liberal Party Environmental Panel and others. In January 2007 it absorbed the Road Block anti-road building campaign led by Rebecca Lush and campaigned for less expenditure on road building. The organisation changed its name from Transport 2000 to Campaign for Better Transport in September 2007.

They were talking about pay per mile years ago ... doing away with VED and putting an extra tax on fuel so that you would pay per mile AND pay extra if your vehicled was a gas guzzler. It sounded okay until they then added that a payment would still have to be paid per year to keep your vehicle on the system ... a nominal £10 per year. BUT, let's not forget that VED was only £10 per year at one time and who's to say that the introductory £10 per year wouldn't get more expensive to the point we are swallowing the extra petrol (pay per mile) tax AND paying (eventually) £200 per year system tax?
EV's dont pay fuel tax: They don't pay a levvie on electricity either. So adding more tax to fuel doesn't do anything about EV's and the torque they produce that rips up the roads (it's not simply the weight of them - it's their accelleration due to the amount of rotational force they produce from a standing start - heavy vehicles taking corners too quickly adds to that, but seriously - EV's are a massive contributor to road surface deterioration. So EV's should be paying more than petrol for their miles. OR just to be on the road. But they don't. BTW - Launch control or torque management would solve most of this but I doubt EV drivers would be happy with that - they like out accelerating petrol cars - kind of like showing off. Well, it is showing off. Oh, not all EV drivers are like that - some don't like how fast they are. But I know way too many who are.

6p a mile £300 for just 5000 miles... £1620 for my neighbour who is retired and offers FREE lifts to and from hospitals and doctors appointments for locals. That's going to be a kick in the teeth compared to his tax last year which was £20.
Bless him what a sweetheart 💓
It's great for depopulation.
Currently, it probably costs about 20p a mile for full cost?

Thanks for exposing this corruption Geoff! Everyone knows what's going on, but we still really need individuals to expose it whenever possible, and as often as possible!
That's the trouble with our new smart digital world, it gets even easier than ever for the government to steal your money🙃
Yes and most people on their latest 'smart' phones are playing into their hands.
And the recent Post Office events show that not only are computers not infallible, but those whose design, operate, and administer them know this.
@@cornishhh I think that was engineered to steer the digital money idea their way.
Luke is more than likely a millennial who has had any critical thinking brainwashed out of him. That's if he had any in the first place. The diatribe these people write for the MSM could be written by 5 year olds. They're thinking is infantile. Children in adult bodies.
So the choice was between pay per milr; pay per mile; or pay per mile.
Surprisingly, nearly everybody opted for pay per mile.
Fact number one The government needs to get more money as a percentage of your wage off the public year on year.
In this regard the motorist is considered to be fair game.
Sell it to the public using loaded questions.
Love the sarcastic wit !
Thanks for the laugh.
The way we have seen government around the world waste taxpayers money ,the last couple of years proves they don't need more money.
I've always lived an honest life, paying my bills/taxes etc, but if this is the direction we are going, I will no longer be so honest and fiddle everything I can...
same here yet all around me are the work shy with new mobility cars my neighbour new ev moka she sent it back for a mg petrol ,i drive my 14 year old diesel cannot waste money on a new car or loan does not make sense if you pay tax .The country is a joke
Your not actually fiddling , just keeping what is yours. You owe the Government and Traitor Royals nothing. The sooner the people realise this the better.
i am too honest as well but i feel often being punished for it . maybe the public aught to give who ever does these things a taste of their own meds .
It would actually be more ethical to withhold all money from the crown, aka; the beast, than to fund it.
Most 'consultations' involve cleverly worded questions, to steer the conclusion towards something that's already been decided.
You,government is a prime example of loaded questions, nearly all MPs are contributors.
Shame they can't use their talents and money to do something constructive with their time.
Delphi psychological tactic
Campaign For Better Transport is a bunch of private companies who will make more profit from pricing private transport off the road.
Looking further up the replies, it seems they are push bikers. Hmmm
Yeh I read some of their bile some years ago. These NGOs are a real threat to our way of life.
It takes its toll on the economy wich I think is what it’s all about just a few yr off it .

I DO NOT SUPPORT ACTIONS BY POLITICIANS TO FURTHER RESTRICT FREEDOM TO TRAVEL ….. is short sighted apathy the price we pay for living in a “one foot in the grave” cuntry ?
Well said. We don't want road charging. We do want to drive cars we actually own without debt.
It needs to be publicised how they produce these figures and statistics.
They hold a survey giving 3 or 4 options all of which are unpleasant to varying degrees and none of which include what people actually want.
Nowhere on the survey is anywhere to record that people reject all of the options [so are forced into choosing the lesser of the evils on the list]
They then produce a report saying we have spoken to the public and this is what they want. [omitting the fact that the questions were rigged]
It’s like asking a condemned man how he wants to die, the option of carrying on living isn’t included so the report produced says that he has agreed to die… and by this method.
(sounds like every referendum - ever..)
Yep sums it up nicely. It's all spin and cherry picked information to push through whatever they want.
Geof publish your own report, your audience is far larger than the numbers responding to these surveys
Very well put Rob.
🎯
Absolutely spot on. In addition with the public profileing that exists they can ensure they survey the people who will give the answers their paymasters desire.
Great report Geoff.
But who are the individuals in these organisations? What do they earn? Where does their finances come from?
Keep calling out these people!!

The views on the videos are impressive especially when you consider this is Britain-centric.
May I suggest pre-written letters for us to send to our MP’s to accompany a video. Big Brother watch does something similar via their website - and it makes it very easy for someone without the time to send a well written letter to the people that will need to listen to us. If an MP gets five or six of these letters they have to start to take notice.
All the best.
so they offered 3 options which nobody wants and state that the least popular of those is what people want.... unbelievable!
It's what happens at general elections too!
And same BS with any local or central government public consultation. Pay by the mile is just another digitised control, but it will be incorporated into the CBDC.
Sceptical? Try searching your nations central bank. Eg, “Bank of England CBDC” are see how close we are to a total pay as you go digital gulag.

My (pensioner) mileage is 11k, ... that's £1100 at just 10p mile, insurance just doubled to nearly £1000, petrol £2000, that's it, I've had it.
