Great video man! I had to rewatch the wattage = volts X amps part a few times to understand because I'm completely new to electrical knowledge but you did a good job explaining it. So I now understand what to look out for on my battery chargers.
I started out on Spektrum, but unless you get something like the i12, you won't have the customizability that a Taranis QX7 or Q9 offers. Spektrum's build quality is great though. Another interesting point: A friend of mine has used a Flysky i6 for seven years or so and it still does the job perfectly. For a €40 radio, it's surprisingly good.
Yeah people hate on the i6 way too much. I found its build quality to be just fine and it was customizable enough for me. I would never expect it to die suddenly, especially because it seemed pretty well designed/made on the inside when I took it apart. For $40 I expected much worse. Nevertheless I now have a Q X7S. If your budget is limited than it is a great way to save money to allow you to get more expensive goggles, motors, flight controllers, or ESCs, all of which are much more important as you don't want them failing mid flight.
waiting for my first fr sky set up , got the r xsr and the qx7 coming ,,been using the the old flysky fsi6 transmitter ,,,served me well over the past 3 years the x6b rreciever is good but you have to mod it to get rssi which is another reason ive gone to fr sky is for the telemetry ..
I used a FLYSKY I6X for almost 4 years. Finally switched to the Nirvana. In reality any radio with at least 10 channels will get the job if you are just flying quads
Summary Transmitter: get something that fits you and is in your budget. Any will work. Goggles: try them out everyone is different. Lower budget : box higher budget: goggles style Aim for diversity but it is not necessary. Usually more expensive googles have a swappable receiver module. Charger: ac usually less power (less battery charging power) not portable, DC charger usually portable and can deliver more power. IMPORTANT look for wattage and amperage. If it says 10a it might only be able to push that when a 2 cell is connected, (might be limited at ex. 3 cell to charge at 7) Sorry for my english
The other use for those lens/screen combos is VR, but that uses panels at way higher resolution. If the logistics of making it happen weren't so shit it would be dope to use a Vive or something as VR goggles
Good day Royor Riot, I'm wondering, is that possible DJI FPV Remote Controller binding with FPV Drone which built up (other than DJI Products)? Without additional parts
things we always forget to tell beginners : you'll need two quads, start buying spares immediately and build a number two quad when you have enough spares, and continue buying spares after that. batteries, its hard to learn with less than 6 batteries, aim for up to a dozen. its probably better to buy cheap chargers and get two or three instead of the expensive kind, and probably best to avoid parallel charging until you understand what battery health is all about. cables ties heatshrink hot glue gun. and nylon standoff kit. you need all of these on day one.
I agree with buying many cheap chargers instead of one expensive. The ideal is charge one battery per time . Parallel will always reduce battery life span.
if you are just starting to fly I would go with analog. it will save you a lot of money. my rapidfire and HDO setup leaves me not even caring about the dji system but it is a more expensive analog setup, still being much cheaper than dji. if money is no object, I hear a lot of people love the dji system.
For goggles I wish he would’ve gone deeper into the compatibility between them and the type of drones they can connect to, just got I to the hobby but can not find any information on this topic
Gunn Gin QX7 is cheap and does everything, x9D is similar to the QX7 but with a more traditional aesthetic, the Jumper T16 is definitely a jack of all trades, it can use different types of RX’s (from what I know) . Check Joshua Bardwell’s review, he did an exceptional job.
Nothing about spektrum is cheap trust me I've owned everything from the dx6i to the dx8 wen it was the flagship and I still own all of them but I'll probably never use them I saved up and bought a hours x10s and dm9 module to work with all my old spektrum gear the opentx was a learning curve but after a little time you'll wonder how you lived without it and all the doors it opens that are closed on spektrum gear... plus the module BAY is a must once you have one hands down sorry spectrum but I've gone to the dark side and I'm never going back to the radios at least lmfao 🥃cheers🍻
Ps. ISD T8 with a 24v power supply all the way it took me years to drop that coin but it was so worth it I picked mine up as a bundle form helination it's not cheap but I also won't be buying something bigger it's got the power to grow with me for the rest of my days ! ! ! 🥃cheers🍻
Very well spoken and concise. The information about charging and chargers is excellent.
If you like box style goggles and have AV in, you can get the FuriousFPV Dock King and run any kind of Fatshark module.
Thanks for being fair and talking about most major brands as well as highlighting my choice, the Nirvana.
I’m really looking forward to trying one out!

Yup, nice. Most people forget at least about the charger and the batteries when calculating their entry... =P
this playlist is good for staring drone enthusiast tnx for the vid
His voice is so calm and relaxing I think I am gonna go nap now. lol

Great video! Very informative! 👍👍
I just got the x9 lite. Fingers crossed it doesn't suck!

I agree. I still use my old i6s for sims and it does a great job. Main reason I went with Nirvana was for Xfire and I liked the form factor.
Thanks rr for mentioning the fsi6
Much better audio on this one!
I like the "look like a dork" comment. Perfect.
A lot of Radio brands were excluded, an important one in particular: Team Black Sheep (TBS).

Nice video!
Good day Royor Riot,
I'm wondering, is that possible DJI FPV Remote Controller binding with FPV Drone which built up (other than DJI Products)?
Without additional parts
You do the continuation from how to fpv from mrsteele (sry for my englisch)
you mention 4 brands. but not Radiomaster which is the only thing I see on your website?
nice video ty....
You forgot Graupner HOTT Transmitter-Series
Can both goggle and radio pair with any FPV? including those cheap mini toy fpv?
Also RadioMaster brand
Im new to drones but I. Thinking if going but in drones. Is buying the dji fpv system a better idea for a beginner? I intend to use it for a long time

Any idea when the Attitude V5s will be shipping?

How does the jumper t16 compare to the x7 and x9? I cant decide on which I should make for my first radio.

Does qx7 comes with center stick mode ?
Yes, you need to open them though
Ho hoooo I Like It 🎆🏆🎆

Man put a spektrum on the table
Team Failsafe. :O
Needs updated..
>"high end"
>glossy plastic shell with horrible greebling/panel lines
what the hell is wrong with the radio control transmitter industry
who has a 1000 for a redio wtf
I feel like this video keeps on dragging on and on...
That could mean you already know a lot of it. 🤙🏼
