I been to this place, it is just as amazing as it looks, and the fun never stops, the ONLY thing that made it a bit offish, is the cops that setup a roadblock to keep the stream of tourists/visitors in check. It was 3 hours wait time to get into the oasis,

I came here to se huacachina...in sted i got to se few secs of sandboarding and paragliding and driving around sand. Got to love this look at me videos..ITS SUPOSED TO BE A GUIDE OF THE PLACE FFS.

I have the wonderful experience of visiting Huacachina My wife is from Pisco City also visit Macho pitchu I love it planning to retire in Peru and fly over line of Nasca My Mother in Law rent rooms in Pisco
How bumpy is the ride? Is it safe to bring your drone and camera without the risk of damaging?
It was very bumpy, but I had the drone in the bag between my legs and it survived.

The bus ride to Haucachina is pretty standard. Not really bumpy. You could skip the buggy ride while there. They may offer a way to see the dunes without going to fast.

Hello, I’m going to Hucachina on October and I would like to know if I have to rental the sandboarding equipment before I get there or it can be the same day of my arrive to the oasis?
I think you can pick stuff up when you get there. Our gear was a part of a tour we booked on the spot. I will say it’s been a few years since I was there so some things could have changed.

Mostly a Canon 80D with a Tamron 10-24mm Other equipment would be a Tamron 18-300mm/ Rylo 360/ GoPro 4 Silver and a DJI Mavic. Even my iPhone 8 for some shots.

Either way would be great, but I came by bus from Lima via Paracas. Paracas is costal town about an hour to the west that is worth a stay as well if you’re heading through. I did some paragliding, 4x4, and trekking around the Reserva Nacional area.

Some Chilean businessmen wanted to make Pisco. They couldn't name their brandy Pisco because it wasn't made in the regions of Peru were Pisco is supposed.to be made but also because it's a different procedure. So, they went back to Chile and used their influence to change the name of a town called La Unión, in Chile. They renamed it Pisco-Elqui, and they started branding their drink as Pisco. It's completely different from Peruvian Pisco, they only wanted to name it the same to sell it and get their part of the cake. Basically, Chilean Pisco is a scam... May be a real drink but shouldn't be called Pisco. It's like naming a random town in the USA as Champagne and make a new drink and sell it as Champagne, which legally, has to be made in Champagne, France.

Please correct the "Chilean Pisco", totally false and offend the Peruvian culinary culture with false information. Besides, they look bad because the alcoholic drink that Chile wants to imitate like Pisco is "aguardiente". Pisco is typical of Peru like Champagne in France or whiskey in Scotland. So much so that the town where it originates is called that and has its origin since pre-Inca times and has historical data of the Spanish conquest since the 16th century.

Absolutely the most boring place in the world. Don’t let this video full you. The city is a complete ghost town and there is trash everywhere; if you look closely you can see it in the sand. And the beach tours are a rip; 2 hours each way to see mountains next to the ocean; which you can see in much more interesting places in the world.
