    Insane! That sidewalk and top rock is so gnarly, pure exposure. Such an intense rock formation to conquer. Truly epic video.

    Finally catching up on the rest of your videos. Watching this was so nerve-wracking but also so cool. Felt Zoey's excitement when you both came down, couldn't help but get emotional lol. You guys are inspiring!! Keep being cool and making great videos!!!

    That was amazing ! I’d recommend a prussic on the return to save a massive fall (even if low risk)

    I am not a climber but I've always wondered if there are existing things in the rocks to clip into but also how long are those secure for? Years? And then someone reinstalls on a different route?

      @the_adventureaddicts  8 месяцев назад +1

      It all really depends on the rock and how well the placement was made and exactly what kind of bolt was used. Very nuanced but if it is placed perfectly you can find literature that says a bolt could have a 20-50 year life expectancy. CRAZY!

    This is sooo impressive. Im not an expert climber, but doing a lot of mountaineering and thought, i would be used to heights. But this is as exposed as a climb can get, unless maybe climbing a see-through radio-tower with a sketchy ladder 😅 Makes me a bit woozy even watching on the screen. Great respect!
    My nightmare would be that spire starting to wobble or tilt mid climb or standing on top 😬

    Good job! Regarding safety, its best to remove metal/hard rings on your fingers before climbing, they can get stuck in finger jams and cut you or pin you. (and it scratches the ring)

    • @the_adventureaddicts
      @the_adventureaddicts  7 месяцев назад

      Great point! Neither of us have worn a hard ring in months, the rings we wear are silicone for that exact reason.

    Where did your second half-rope go on the last pitch? :D

    • @the_adventureaddicts
      @the_adventureaddicts  7 месяцев назад +1

      We left it at the big belay ledge at the top of pitch 2. They are both single/half/twin rated ropes, main reason for bringing both was the ability to rappel to the ground in one rap from the ledge rather than rappel the route through the chimney.

      @@the_adventureaddicts I see :) It looked kinda busy so that was probably a good idea. In Europe we love bringing double ropes on multipitch climbs haha :D

  • @geometerfpv2804
    @geometerfpv2804 2 месяца назад

    Double ropes in America lets gooooooo. Should be standard for trad because of abrasion risk.

    definiely scarier than skydiving. You both are my heros for not being image hungry narcissists, which is so rare unfortunately. I didn't have to be baited by some girl in a bikini showing off her tattoos and caked on makeup on the thumbnail. Hard not to notice that videos get 5 million views with zero content at all that way. You 2 actually have some serious game. (and unforntunately, you won't get many views despite that. You would need to play the game). I have taken to boycotting makeup. It's so easy to see how women are telling the world how shallow and gameless they are! The ones that waste 3 hours a day in front of the mirror and can never allow themselves to be seen by anyone without makeup.

    Has anyone died doing this? I’d have to imagine so, since people seem to die doing just about anything you can imagine. I mean, people die rearranging their living room furniture. It’s wild out there.
    Anyway, godspeed
