My climbing buddy Phil and I climbed the east face route of Mt Whitney in the fall of 1975. It snowed lightly when we camped at Iceberg lake the night before the climb. We did not anticipate how much the snow on the East Face would slow down our climb. When the sun set, we were about 400 ft below the summit. Finished the last few pitches by moonlight (yep, young and careless without flashlights). Spent a very cold night on the summit with just the clothes we were wearing. But, I would not trade that day and night for anything!! Thanks for the video and a walk down memory lane for me.
About 3 years ago was when we started to take climbing seriously and considering it a sport that we wanted to really pursue. Thank you so much for watching!

glad to see I'm not the only one who can't seem to get my pack below 50 pounds when going into the Whitney zone ;)
Too many fun adventures to be had to keep the pack weight down!
How long have you guys been climbing? It sounded like 3 years but wow! Those are incredible climbs and a great video all around. Thank you!
