I'm from Afghanistan and I badly fell in love with Beowulf movie. It's engraved in my soul for some reason and will always remain my favourite Heroic tale movie and the means of a Sacrifice.
It is a very well-written story with very well-written dialogue. It carries values and elements that are universal in all cultures, like courage, wisdom, heroism, redemption, and sacrifice. Probably every culture has the classic tale of a hero going on a quest to defeat the enemy that threatens the defenseless people, fallen because of his own flaws, and risen again because of his selflessness.
The main idea of this movie to my understanding is, that every ruler sales his soul to devil. They regret it at the end, but it's too late and they have to buy their soul back by sacrifice... if they are brave enough.
Beautiful movie beowulf he will always be remembered not as a king but as a hero that always was there for his people to the end. Best quote "I died too many years ago when I was young"- Beowulf
I remember the boob jiggling woman... Jokes apart i was initially stunned by the animation i thought it was a real person and the best dragon cgi effect of that era... Besides the character of Beowolf was so strong and he killed his own son to save others... This act alone requires courage.... And yes love the lady who sang this song and the composers as well.... I sing this song to my baby girl.
I don't really know what on earth they laced this song with but it fills my chest of such unmeasurable melancholic nostalgia that I just can't hold my tears back
It's one of those feelings where the ending is "complete". You loved the story so much, but you knew how it had to end. The only way it COULD end. Both the hero and dragon dead. You want more, but that's it.

Before fighting a main bad guy, they attempted to as a group to do a ritual to free him, everyone rolled high so I played this video as their cleric female halfling sang. When I described diamond crack and break releasing him... I looked at the players, they were all in tears.

This movie was so epic and legendary still it is and will be. And the Beowulf music is one of my most favourite. It's my favourate animated movie. I cried at the end. Still sometimes watch the best part of the movie and listen soundtrack on RUclips. I believe Chris Himsworth can play Beowulf, Gladiator , Conan the Barbarian, Robin Hood, Sinbad , Hercules and Viking type of movie. Because you can see in Thor Ragnarok when Stan Lee cut his long hair and put red bloody color in his left side of face. He looks really bloody brutal and epic as hell. It was also Gladiator fight in Arena with Hulk. So i believe he can do better. I know except Bewulf all movies that i mention excist. But Chris Himsworth can do far better.
