I LOVE rustic handmade ornaments but this year this will be particularly helpful! We have a new puppy and we’ll be leaving a lot of our more breakable or sentimental ornaments off the tree this year and instead making a display of them on our mantle. Our tree will be mostly crochet ornaments this year and I’m sure this one will be a favorite!

I know this pattern is old but what can I use to make this since bernat discontinued the maker Big yarn?

Any jumbo yarn works. You can even use a few strands of a super bulky yarn held together. I have also seen people use t-shirt yarn.
