- Hello and welcome to Rich Textures Crochet!
Today we are going to learn how to crochet an easy Christmas Bauble. You may crochet this design around a plastic craft bauble or upcycle an old one!

Skill Level: Easy
Gauge: 17 sts x 20 rows of sc = 4 inches
Finished Size: 3.5 x 3.5 inches diameter (10 inch circumference)
Yarn: Landscapes® by Lion Brand® (100% Acrylic; 5.3 oz, 150 g; Approx. 147 yds, 134 m). Worsted/medium Weight (4). Colour: Desert Spring (From one ball you will make 3 ornaments - approximately 50 yards per ornament)
Hook: Size 6/8 (4.0 mm) Hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn Needle, stitch marker, Christmas Bauble with 10 inch circumference OR some fibrefill.

Is it possible to adjust the pattern to a smaller bauble? As well as 10-11 in diameter ones I have some 8 inch ones. Just wondering how to do the math

The nice thing about using stuffing, is you don’t have to perfectly match the size of the ornament, but the stitches would need to be tight.

How beautiful! I can't wait to try making these. Thank you! It’s finished! The top end does not look like yours and I realized I stopped the BLO for the last few decrease rows. Since I’ve already woven i the ends, I’ll leave it as is and save this one for me.

Hi! Lovely pattern. What is the size of the bobble in mm? I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out the right size and everything is listed in inches and mm... I can’t math lol

I bought the wrong size. I bought a 9 cm not 10. How do I still crochet my bouble Can I still use the same hook size and

Where did you get the baubles at? I cannot find them in that size anywhere
I found mine at Michaels, I’ve also heard that they can be found at some dollarstores. The other option if you want to work around the Bauble is to find some smooth coloured shatter proof ones and crochet around them :)

how would i do this if my baubles are smaller than the pattern?
Work your increase rounds until they are the full circumference, work a few more rounds with out increasing stitches - you can measure it once you put the bobble inside, then start the decrease
When do you start to increase on the smaller bauble. And when do you start to decrease
How can I adjust the pattern for a smaller ball? 3 or 3 inch size? Want to buy the pattern but I need to make it a smaller size.
It can be! I would work the beginning rounds with the increase until they reach the desired size, then work the rounds without the increases until the proper height and then work the decrease rounds. For the decrease rounds, if you worked the increase rounds until you had sc 3, 2 sc in the next st for example, then start the decrease rounds with the same: sc 3, Sc2tog. I hope that makes sense!
