Kenny Ray Johnson intercepted that pass at the end is from my hometown of Moss Point.I know him personally and he got drafted in the late rounds by the ATL Falcons in the 1982 NFL draft.Played 10 years with the Falcons and Houston Oilers.Im gonna be a MSU fan for life!!!
I lived in the panhandle and drove up to see that game with a friend who lived near AU . 1981 should've been State's national championship. How could that have been 42 years ago ?
Touchdown celebrations were really amateurish back then. @5:18 there's what looks like a towel boy and an extra cameraman celebrating in the end zone! lol
No question MSU would have been flagged for pass interference on that 3rd and 10 in today's game, especially at Auburn. The refs know what's good for them.

Jack Cristal brought the game to life! I remember listening to the MSU games on the radio with my dad when I was a kid. Good memories.

I wish we could go back to when the game moved this quick between plays and possessions. This would take 30+minutes in today's media coverage.
Kenny had a very good career in the NFL. He was also a key component to the MSU defense for three years.
