Join me on JetBlue Airways flight 2221, JetBlue's inaugural service to Kansas City, Missouri (MCI) from New York City, New York (JFK). After many years of public requests for JetBlue to serve Kansas City, the Kansas City Aviation Department, JetBlue Network Planning, and the Management at Kansas City International Airport were finally able to secure a deal for JetBlue to serve the city with daily fights to/from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Although JetBlue has competition on the Boston route, they are they only airline to serve Kansas City from New York's renowned international gateway. Kansas City becomes JetBlue's 109th destination! Included in this video is a detailed look at JetBlue's product, the entire flight from JFK-MCI, and all of the pre-flight festivities at New York. Which were actually non-existent for this flight, son scratch that last part! For those of you who don't know, Kansas City is one of my home airports, and I have been one of those people asking for JetBlue service. People ask me why I don't fly JetBlue more often, and it's not because I don't love JetBlue! The simple answer was because they didn't fly to any of the airports in the area, including MCI. Well, they do now, and I was thrilled to help welcome them to one of my home airports! I look forward to being able to feature JetBlue on the channel far more often now!

They have a really good takeoff performance. Only need like 6200 ft. at MTOW with the -300.
I used to be a "Boeing, or it ain't going" guy, but Airbus has simply surpassed Boeing. Feels like I'm cheating on a girlfriend but they are just superior across their offering.

Great video. Love flying on JetBlue. I have a question. Did you use the iPhone camera to take this video or did you use some other app like FiLMIC Pro? Love how clear and crisp your video is. Also did you attach your phone to the window. I used GoPro 7 when I took mine. The sound wasn't that great like yours.

Yes they were haha. It was an inaugural flight, but JetBlue really through the big party for the BOS-MCI flight earlier in the day. So, I can forgive them for clapping, as it was a special flight. But no one else got the memo haha.

So, what Smurdle450 said is true. Historically, I've held the camera by hand, while wearing black long sleeves and black gloves. The blackout setup is to keep my hand/arm from reflecting in the window. 95% of the footage on my channel is still filmed that way. I still film every takeoff and landing that way, as there are too many vibrations during those phases of flight.
That all said, I've been experimenting with a RAM mount recently: www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-166-UN10U that has provided some good results during cruise portions of flight. Historically, iPhone's have been too susceptible to vibrations to even consider using a mount. If you did, the footage would have a noticeable "jitter." Well, with the iPhone 13 Pro and the above mount, I've been able to film some recently with that setup instead of holding the camera, and the jitter problem isn't that bad.

Would absolutely love to fly on the A220! Such a beautiful aircraft. No jetBlue here at KCMH, maybe Delta might use one someday. All our family lives in Oregon and California, bummer.

How much space does it take up on your iPhone to film a flight like this?
A flight this length? About 100GB. I have a 1TB iPhone 13 Pro that I'm filming most flights with now. I also travel with two 512GB iPhone 12 Pros that I also travel with.

Thanks my friend. And nope. 10:00am on Saturday and Sunday, 2:00pm on weekdays. It's been that for a bit now. I used to do 4:00pm everyday, but it's been a couple months I think since I changed it to the new schedule.

RUclips getting worse with ads. They are ruining videos.
I know ads are frustrating, I wish there was another way, but ultimately they’re what allows me to continue to produce content. The money I make from them is the only reason this channel survives. So, if you really enjoy the content and don’t want to pay for RUclips premium I understand, but just look at is as those companies that are advertising are basically paying for you to watch. So you don’t have to pay a monthly fee. Believe me, I would love to do this, and continue to create content for everybody to enjoy without advertisements. But the fact of the matter is, that it takes an incredibly large amount of money for me to upload 365 videos every year, and even with Patreon, 95% of those expenses are covered by ads.
