Moved to Florida in 2021 and bough my my KTM, I wish I had the bike when I lived in Ohio, the terrain looks amazing. Maybe one day I’ll get back up there.
@@TheDogDadlol you suck jk Ohio is beautiful state with tons of work to make a living from a self owned small business and raise a family in farm fields of Ohio I be taking this loop when weather gets better! Thx
Thanks it's actually just a modified ear bud/mic you get with your phone. I cut the ear buds off and use an adapter to convert the connections to stereo mic input. I'm making it sound complicated. But it is simple. I have plans to make a video showing how I do everything soon.
Tell ya what man, that color is tack sharp on this one!!! You have the gopro settings on auto or you adjust the iso, color etc manually? Looks fantastic man! Enjoyed this ride for sure!!
Thanks. Those sunny days I have found is when the GoPro shines. I turn the ev -.05. everything else is auto. Max 800 iso. I did bring the shadows up just a touch in post on some clips. But it really was just a perfect GoPro day.
I recently heard about the SOAL, and it looks amazing! What are the speed limits on the SOAL? I ask because i have a trail 125 and im trying to see if i could ride it. I have also seen so many variations of the SOAL too. Is it all just scenic paved roads and you have to find these trails? Are the trails apart of the SOAL? Thanks for a great video and showing us how to have fun!
The best way to get the the info is join the southern Ohio adventure loop Facebook group. The gpx file is there. The is also a massive thread on advriders. It is public roads. Lots of gravel. Done non maintained roads. Different colored lines for advanced sections. Lots of folks have ran out in a ct125. Enjoy
@@localrouteadv Thank you very much for responding. You ever consider being a "guide" for SOAL? I've only been riding off and on the past couple years and would like to ride the SOAL - the "prudent" side of me says to follow someone that knows what they're doing.
@@mitchwiebell2785 Maybe when I retire and have more time. That would be a treat. I'm selfishly exploring the world when time allows. I am kind of an addict that way. There is a Facebook group for the soal and people are always setting up group rides.
Jess (HerTwoWheels) sent me as well! Going to watch this serie.
Very nice production. Good value and great comments.
Thanks Alex!

Let me know. I'll give you the grand tour.
Never been to Ohio so that was a nice little piece on the landscape. Beautiful! I had no idea how wooded it turned out to be. Thanks!
This entire route is thick woods. One I get down to Shawnee, it really gets dense. The largest state forest in Ohio.
I mean Ohio kinda sucks.... like a lot
This is a nice video though and the SOAL is neat

One of your best yet, Love it. Been in that area before, nice to hear all about it.
Thanks Don. Those colors sure make it easy to watch.
Thank you! A great vid. Anxious for spring here in Wyoming.
Nice video. Skydio drone?
No mini 3 pro. It was between those 2. But decided I wanted the more cinematic version. And packability.
Very enjoyable. Looking forward to the episodes.
Thank you so much. Appreciate the support.
Thanks for this!
It was my pleasure. Thanks for the support.

@@localrouteadv awesome man! Looks great!!!
I live in Bainbridge, Ohio and have only just heard about the SOAL. I guess better late than never. Does anyone have a GPX file for the SOAL?
You can find it on advriders.com just search for it. If you have any trouble let me know.
Welcome neighbor, I also live near Bainbridge.
@@localrouteadv I sure will, thanks!
@@jons1148 I'm not much for social media, but the southern Ohio adventure rider page on Facebook is a wealth of info.
@Local Route ADV I'm not on social media either. But thanks for the info.
Great video! What time of the year was this? Late October?
Third weekend in October

Today I learned there is more than one Bainbridge, Ohio. I was like "how is it the southern Ohio loop if it starts by Cleveland?"
Haha. I work at the post office in Bainbridge. Everyday we get something or a bunch of things for the one by Cleveland.
Hi. How difficult is it to get up the steep gravel section of Cave road? I drove it with my Ford F250 and was spinning my rear tires had to go to 4WD.
I didn't think the is any difficult hill on cave road ? My old f250 would spin on flat gravel in 2wd. Lol.

how many miles is the loop?
the main loop is around 170 miles. easy to add another 60 by hitting the side tracks around Shawnee. The loop in the video was around 210 miles
