Here in Norway, 2-300 years ago, there was a huge variety of books containing spells to summon demons, how to make yourself invisible, how to get rich, etc. These books were simply called "Svarteboka" ("The Black Book"). Several of these books has survived to this day.
I dont think demons are real
Hmm, where can i find the one about getting rich or maybe about the demons? Heheheh, i gonna need some of them for smth.
@@olivertothpeti7961Well, according to some of these books, here's what you do:
Run naked around a church at midnight at least three rounds, and swear as much as you can. Look through the keyhole of the church's door, continue swearing while using words and phrases that makes it clear you reject/deny God. If the devil finds you worthy, he'll enter your mind. When you feel his presence, your fist thought should then be your deepest wish. It will be granted, but now your soul forever belongs to the devil.
To increase your chances, cover your entire body in the blood of a freshly killed large animal.
Good luck! :D
Btw, beware: if the devil do not find you worthy, he'll place a demon in your mind, turning you crazy while forcing you to do his biddings for the rest of your life.
Imo, these books are nothing but fairytales, but they're damn entertaining :)
Sorry to bust your bubble but if you’re still blind to demons not being real, just take a look at how bad things are in our world. There is definitely spiritual influence on some of the most darkness satanic rituals, murders, wars, events taking place, corruption in government, and we can’t just overlook it and just blame man for some of the wickedness. We are literally in a spiritual battle.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12

A misconception about some ancient manuscripts, like Codex Gigas, is that they were written by individual. In actuality, most larger tomes had the text 'penciled' in first, in order to repair any errors before inking, and then the letters were penned/painted over once the text was ready. Since most monks were typically trained in the exact same style of writing, it would be difficult to tell where one monk's efforts started and another began. I recommend looking up some of the writing and illuminating techniques of the middle-ages, it's very fascinating stuff.
Interesting. Thank you.
Cool, thanks
Thank you for lending some accurate counterpoint and sensible perspective.

man you bran is fucked up dont get near those books
The story I heard behind the Codex Gigas (translated Gigantic Book) was that a monk *metaphorically* imprisoned himself away in his cell so that he could dedicate his life to inscribing all the world's knowledge into one single great tome. One of the biggest roles of monks was making and preserving knowledge and records, and demons and devils were just considered facts of life back then. So really it is someone's life's work fueled by a passion for both preserving knowledge and making it available for others.
Imagine a time when you actually thought you could put all the world's knowledge into one handwritten book.

Maybe he was imprisoned because he refused to (re)write the book the way the Pope/church wanted him to and they wouldn't let him out until he was done. My guess is that they already had it written the way they wanted it. All he had to do was copy it to make it look official. And, if they were already intending to deceive, why not say he had to/did write it in one night. Who's to say otherwise? Just my thoughts...🤔🗯

A common misconception, but necromancy is using the dead for divination usually for the purposes of finding gold, silver, coin, or secrets. Using the term necromancy to refer to the reanimation of a dead body is relatively modern (considering that necromancy has been around for thousands of years). In medieval contexts, necromancy is more of a middle ground, evoking the spirit of the dead so the conjurer can ask the dead questions.
Either way, it's BS.
Nc is dangeres word
@@aldinsobarionly to superstitious fools who can't spell
Necromancy was a way of tomb raider a finding buried treasure. Voodoo made the whole "controlling the dead for your own use " trope. True necromancers were supposed to be able to open the coffin/tombs of kings and make them tell where their treasure was buried. In ancient times, rich or powerful people took their treasure with them, but this made tomb raider an actual profession and caused trapped tombs and hidden rooms to be the norm, popular or successful raiders were thought to be able to ask and probably some of them fed the rumours but let's be honest it was just smart tomb raider a(and I don't mean a sensually groaning woman or a whip wielding wannabe cowboy)
I'm honestly surprised that with the strong religious tone of a lot of old grimoires, we don't have more attempts at resurrection spells. Especially since many practitioners back then were clergy, and such powers were supposed to have been passed down by the "authority of God" or whatever. But nope, such powers were left to the saints, I guess. A shame.

Such a great book to read,and I can't wait for part 2.
Any word that ends in -mancy is a form of divination.
Ex: geomancy is divination by means of using earth-related objects (soil, rock, gems, etc)
So necromancy is divination by means of a dead body, not bringing the dead back to life. The misconception may have come from claims of necromancers temporarily bringing the dead's consciousness/spirit back for a limited period to get information.

About the Codex Gigas. It is often cited as proof of supernatural power that the text appears to be written all by the same hand. But this only illustrates how little is understood about medieval scribes and the work they did. And the Codex Gigas would definitely have been written by scribes. Think of scribes (who were usually monks) as the earliest form of printing. In that, scribes were the only way to make copies of any book and their talents were usually reserved for church texts. But what must be understood is that scribes were trained to ALL WRITE EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. It took an acolyte years of training before they could work on any project. And each book was a project, usually employing several scribes for months at a time One page of an average sized book could take a week to write. And a book as big as the Codex Gigas could take a month.
If you think that's nuts, consider that only an even more elite level of scribe was allowed to add the drawings, especially the highly decorative letter at the beginning of each section. Also, each page was made of sheepskin, which is akin to leather, and took several weeks to create.
Also, "arch" in the term 'arch angel' is pronounced like "arch" in "architect."
And, about Hex Hollow's clocks. You do know that in olden days it was traditional to stop all clocks in a house when someone died, right? So there's nothing spooky about them all being stopped at the time he died. They also covered all the mirrors, too, probably for some superstitious reason.
And the whole story of Lilith is so overtly misogynistic, I'm surprised you included it. Clearly, it was the rationale used by men to establish their supposed superiority over women. I understand the Taliban has many such stories, too. Oh, yes. Women are the cause of all evil. Please.
I'm surprised you left off the Book of The Dead and Satan's Bible. Or, did I miss those?
you're not gonna find many ancient texts or myths that aren't misogynistic in some way
Mirrors are known to be portals for ghosts/spirits/souls, whatever you prefer, to go from place to place. As to why? There are reasons that pertain to a culture. (i.e. Germany & Belgium did it b/c in a home where someone has died, it was believed any living who looked in a mirror would die not too long after. Judaism has their own reason, etc). Just an fyi ;).
whoa you know a lot thats all I have to say.
Mysogynistic?? That's medieval era dude, they burned woman alive for being educated, what even do you expect from the books of that time?
The Book of the Dead? As in the Tibetan Book of the Dead? It does not fit the bill. It is not mysterious and there is no reason to avoid reading it.
The best theory I have seen so far on the Voynich Manuscript is that it is an ancient medical book written in a long lost shorthand. it seems to be set up like an old medical book, and each chapter seems to depict knowledge on bathing, herbology, and the human body... even if the depictions are unfamiliar and we cannot read it.
To understand and use the Necronicon correctly, you also need the Book of the Dead Names.
I have both and also copies of Grimoire Armandel, and the Magic of Abramelin and a lot of Voodoo Books etc.
I have a Bookshelf full of that stuff and yeah I also tried and did things explained in them.

There is no real Necronomicon. Its a fiction invented by the writing circle of folks that HP Lovecraft was involved in. There is no mention of it anyway legitimately before the early 1900s. There have been a few fakes made since then.

Regarding the "Untitled Grimoire", I wouldn't worry about it, if you're reading it and you're not "of the Craft." Being Wiccan, that means she has to abide by the Wiccan Rede, which says "'An it harm none, do what thou wilt." So nothing harmful would happen to a non-Wiccan reading it. Now, MY ancestors sure didn't follow that rede, which is why I'm not Wiccan. My British & Irish ancestors had no problem harming others who threatened kith, kin and clan! Not particularly, but you can get many of them separately. And other pretty good ones. A favorite of mine is the Petit Albert, which isn't actually "good" per se, but is very bonkers. Among other magic I highly recommend you don't try because of animal abuse reasons, it includes the recipe for the Hand of Glory, which is essentially the pickled hand of a dead man, apparently used to assist in robbing houses at night. A pretty lame use for something with a name like that, if you ask me. You'd think it'd grant some kind of greater powers than thievery.

I've read about 1/3 of them - that I was able to get modern copies of, or in a few cases, old copies in the rare books room of the St. Louis public library. They seemed neat and edgy, and they claim to have super powers, and you can get them from the book - or get a horrible death or destruction of the soul. Now, looking back.... I'm glad I had my hands on them, so now I can say, "That's all a bunch of nonsense." Yes, they were "scary" reads, but there's much better horror fiction out there now.
Whatever you do, don’t read the golden one, it gave me nightmares
Books should never be burned to learn from history. Unfortunately, we are stuck. Again.
Your right
I've been an Avid Reader of the key of Solomon and what I can say is when summoning spirits or contact them for any reasons here's some rules and as long as you follow these rules you'll have no issues
1. Always invoke the power of God in the name of Jesus to protect you from harm before you summon anything.
2. Always treat the entity you summon with respect and kindness never try to force them to do something they don't want to do or there will be hell to pay even if you summon a good spirit and try to force it to do something or trap it within a circle it will be just as vicious as a demon from hell if you do this.
3. Never knowingly call out to an evil presence doing so will cause you to lose Divine protection.
4. Understand the nature and desires of the spirit you wish to summon be for summoning it.
I've worked with this my whole life and the only time I've had negative Supernatural events encounters with Spirits is when I broke these rules keep these rules and you'll be just fine

Persephone's Grimoire from the 60s is no mystery. Anyone who practices Wicca can read this 'witches code'. But I heard a guy in radio station read it outloud for his audience and he almost had a fatal accident.
But who knows
Fun fact: the word magic was used to describe a lot of complex skills. The work of a blacksmith for example was considered magic because they took what seemed like normal rocks and turned them into all sorts of things. Complex mathematical calculations used in the architecture of cathedrals for example was also considered magic during the middle ages.
If you go back further in history you will find that a lot of other complex crafting techniques and knowledge of all kinds, medical herbs and dyes among others, was all magic. The idea of transmutation for example doesn’t just come from turning lead into gold but from techniques like taking grass and turning it into clothing (linen) that people witnessed but didn’t understand - meaning the more widespread a technique and knowledge of the basics behind it became the less magical it seemed.
If you know how smelting and forging works you won't suspect that the blacksmith conspires with fire spirits to shape rocks into tools anymore.
Even today we say IT guys 'work their magic' to solve our IT problems.

"Well I did it and that time passed, and I'm fine."
"Well you didn't _really_ get it! I would know if someone really did get it! The curse is still totally real and not just a bunch of bogus!"
Le Dragon Rouge, Simon Necronomicon, Book of Shadows(by Gerald Gardener), Ars Goetia, Picatrix, The Book of Abramelin.
I'll avoid these books at all costs.😱
I read this as "I'll avoid all books at all costs". 😂😂
Re statement “I’ll avoid Not avoiding these books at all cost.😱💀
Why?
Now I wanna read them at all costs

@@M.O.W. YES at all costs.
YES!
I was waiting for you to bring up the Necronomicon!
I'm gonna go hug my copy now.
It's sitting on my shelf, resting up against my Alastair Crowley Ouija board.
;D
The Rubaiyat of Omarr Khayyam is a pleasant Arabic poem about pleasant things like having picnics with your loved one.
I own around half of these .. 😂
My library is interesting and they actually left some decent ones off the list. 🤷🏻♂️
Also, necromancy isn’t resurrecting the dead back to life, it’s just communicating with the dead
Of course you would have these with that profile picture...
@@detective2221 .. oh that’s my own that I created and not from a book.. but I get your meaning 😂
Turn from evil and repent!
Hell is HOT.
top 10 things to do when your an old person
I’m adding that first one to my list. I need it. Now.
I've read six of these already & will most likely read the others! My aunt gave me a copy of the Rubaiyat,as a birthday gift!
Don't believe in cursed items, you make your own misery and the death's are a coincidence.
You don’t have to warn smart people about reading these types of books. You need to warn the stupid people. Smart people already avoid these books.
Very few smart people in 2023/24😂
I've read The Lesser Key of Solomon, The Grand Grimoire, Codex Gigas, Untitled, Tomino's Hell, The Necronomicon and The Voynich Manuscript. The are NOT "dangerous" or "cursed". They are just books.
There are audio recordings as well. For example, there was the record called "Gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holliday. It was also called the Hungarian Suicide Song. Read up on that one. There might be enough further examples to make a video.
Nice to know😂 .Thank you Be Amazed❤😂.
bring them on.
I'll read them all.
Am I the only one who thought of Grell Sutcliffe when he mentions Sangorski & Sutcliffe?
OMG, I didn't think ud list the Necronomicon.
