    you can just run negative straight to frame (neg on light can just attach to mounting bracket) ... so you only have to route one wire rather than 2

    A few years down the road since you made this video and the info is STILL very much useful. Doing my own install tomorrow. The only difference is I bought a wiring harness and better brackets than the ones they sent. Thanks for the video. The tips at the end are VERY helpful indeed.

    The strobe is actually useful - at least in Asia. People use that when they want to take someone over. If they don't have strobes, then they usually flash their lights or use a" takeover horn".

  • @jejekomo1317
    @jejekomo1317 5 лет назад +10

    hi - why so difficult - connect them to the horn and you have the switch with the ignition and the 10A fuse and - no long cables under the tank. I've done it this way on my Tiger and it works. Only to remove the small front inner cover beside the radiator to store the cables behind and that's it.
    BTW - I've put the switch just behind the brake fluid reservoir on the handle bar. It's so small, it fits easily, when you move the reservoir a little bit.

    Dude u should have taken the negative off of the earth and taken the positive off of something from the ignition this would mean it would physically be unable to drain your battery while your bike is off.

    First time I've watched a light fitting vid and not actually seen the fitting of the lights.
    Is the yellow wire you didn't use not for the daytime running light. The outer ring lights up desperate to the main light for greater daytime visibility. So you get seen by other drivers.

    I appreciate you taking the time and effort to make this video but it wasn't that useful for me. I was interested in the mechanics of the install rather than the electrics. I wanted to know how to fix the lights so that I could adjust their pitch and yaw once installed.
    BTW there are a few YT vids on how to disable the strobe feature.

I built a nice 3/4” stainless bracket for mine because I am putting them on my wife’s E-Bike. The box says the wires are different colour so that’s no good. If you could share which wires are which I would greatly appreciate it, Thanks John, I just cut the original plug off old lights so I can solder plug to wires once I know which ones are which.

    • @motodrang4287
      @motodrang4287  4 года назад

  • @nigelsanger7827

    Pretty dangerous as you don't fuse the switch or lights. A relay should be used so the lights work off the ignition.

  • @DragonM109R
    @DragonM109R 4 года назад

    Why go with a disconnect.. if you cant to go ghetto.. you just had to tie into the power going to anything that goes on only when bike is on.. if you want to be safe.. just get a relay and have the relay give power to Lights also when you have ignition on (also tying relay to "something" that goes on when ignition is on) ... just saying.. I did these lights on my Harley but I also used the Yellow which went to halo.. so I had a switch to cut on JUST the halos (which I primarily used) and then another switch when I wanted white fog/daylight light on..
