I remember liking this course in MKDS but it feels like a pain to drive in this game. I was wondering how to take the clock hand shortcuts too.
They’re definitely really inconsistent
@@Bayesic they arent if you hop left right left
TWOW???????
@@Aaden.mp4 Yes
@@pulse3543 what do you mean by that?
I still like this course as a retro track overall, but I oddly find it slightly more exhilarating on 200cc. Only slightly though.
Thanks as always for the training!
Been playing this track recently and my current PB is a 1:54 as I couldn't work out the best setup for the end shortcuts but this video helps massively 👌
Also when racing people, I find that this track really separates people who know it well and have time trialed it a lot vs those that haven't.
I used to be a speedrunner and hardcore player of mario kart wii back in my days. Played tournments and stuff. The adulthood hit hard and I never played MK anymore.
Got my hands on MK lately and decided to pick randomly this track to time trial on it.
It is super challenging but it gives a whole lot level of satisfaction once you really learn it.
Btw thank you for these videos, I'd have killed to have such explaination back in 2010 on mario kart wii when trying to understand how to perform some shortcuts or glitches!
I was looking forward to this one!!
Always love these. Thanks for enduring the pain!
Amazing video, thank you so much
Your videos are awesome and helpful!
Thanks for this video!!!
This tutorial will definitely help me get better. Thank You!
I love your training vids
probably one of the starkest tracks when it comes to if you can drive it or not, the game will tell you when you can't make the end cut on lap 2 shroomless
Right? It kinda sucks if you're not fast enough but it's also really cool to have such a strong indicator
was waiting for this one! big thanks!
Thank you! This is one of my weakest tracks and I appreciate your detailed breakdown of how to traverse the clock hands.
Went from 1:57 to 1:55.057 with these strats, its not easy this course, definitely takes practice to get the clock shortcut at the end down
can only do it sometimes on 3rd lap so far, thanks a lot tho, bayesic, ur course is amazing!
I really love this track!!
Thanks again Bayesic! And the thumbnail’s awesome, as always.
Thank you!
I always get something useful from you videos, even if I don't time trial a course. This is one of the tracks I don't really like. It's hard for me to tell sometimes why I don't enjoy a track, but I seem to prefer outside courses to the inside ones, the bigger the better, except Toad Harbor. It feels too long. I still like it though. The difficulty level doesn't affect my level of enjoyment with Bowser's Castle being one of my biggest favorites in the game, but I'm getting off course here, no pun indented. Good work, man!
Awesome!!!!
Great video as always.
Great username xD
It's about time
with this video's help, i am FINALLY within 10 seconds of every base-8d world record. i HATE tick tock clock so much and am glad i never need to time trial it ever again!
You da MVP!
yessir
Awesome video Bayesic my current pb is - 1:49.8 but I can improve it I’ve been using baby daisy but I can get a 1:48 and that last shroom strat I don’t use which should help so thx again !
Dang!! These shortcuts always made me nervous haha!!
Thank the good Lord!
gg man
I probably like this track a lot more than most here since I don't Time Trial terribly often, I think it's fun in VS Race.
I love this track to death, but I've been trying to find 200cc guides for this as I've been trying to get better times on it recently. I'm not sure if you will see this comment but it would be amazing to see you make a 200cc guide for this track!!
I probably won’t get to a full guide for a long time but after I’m done with my 150 cc series one of the things I’m going to be doing is putting together shorts for some of the more difficult strategies on each track for 200cc
I had no idea about the clock hand shortcuts... Good thing I'm not fast enough to make them anyway
am i not the only person who notices animal crossing new horizons is the selected game title for this videos description?
Yeah RUclips is dumb as hell and marking all Mario kart as other games for some reason
From one of my favorites courses in the original DS game, to one of my most frustating ones in this game. Good look but a pain in the ass to run consistently
Awesome video. Thanks a bunch. But the Game title is wrong. It says "Animal Crossing"
Unfortunately I have no control over that. It’s a RUclips issue
@@Bayesic Didn't know that. Sorry to be a bother. Anyway an awesome video
@@gr8Kalle no worries thanks for trying to help!
It took me a good while to get a hang of this track, including the lap one ending shortcut. But once I did, I honestly have rarely done worse than top 3 in an online race unless I have very poor luck. Most people are just not THAT good at Tick Tock Clock...and for good reason I suppose 😅
And thanks for making these videos. I check them out occasionally and they're usually quite helpful!
Glad to hear it!
This track is weird because it's easy enough to drive well, just reacting to the cycling objects and whatnot, but so hard to nail.
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but this track is in my top 3 for this game
It’s definitely grown on me, but I still wouldn’t really want to race on it
I’m destroying my friends now. Thank you
Yo, could you do shroom ridge perhaps? I am starting to grind it.
Yeah there’s definitely some from the booster pass that I missed and I’ll definitely get back to them as soon as I can
@@Bayesic ok
Can you do the rainbow road (one with the thwomps)
I have one already if you check my Bayesic training 150cc playlist :-)
ruclips.net/video/uhkNWM32iqk/видео.html
@@Bayesic oh I must've missed it sorry
Hey so I can't really grasp soft-drifting. Like I've seen the whole "have your joystick at a slightly less than 45 degree angle" but when I do it it just doesn't look or feel like when I watch other people. So this might be a tall order, but do you think you could do a guide to soft-drifting. I've seen your drifting video and the section on soft-drifting, but maybe you could recommend some courses to help me know when I'm doing it right? (Yes I know you left that message about mario circuit and ssc, but I can never quite do them without holding a 10 degree angle)
An updated soft drifting video is definitely on my to-do list tbh, just not sure when it's coming
What Bayesic vid r u planning on releasing next
Next up will be grumble volcano 150cc :-)
@@Bayesic great when will u plan on relaxing it
@@theo3116 Probably next Thursday
Is tricking off of the cogs right before the finish line really slower than just driving straight between them?
I think it's about the same as going through the middle unless you get a low trick off of them, which is really hard to do properly
I'm just curious: Why do you use a Mushroom at the very beginning? Wouldn't that cannibalize the start-up boost?
it does, but a mushroom is way longer so if there's no major shortcut to hit it's prolly the best choice anyway
The rocket start doesn't quite get you up to maximum speed either whereas a Mushroom does
the start up boost in this game is really bad
So, what's the secret to making tricking off the cogs faster? Was that where baby daisy used the shroom as well
What do you mean? Tricking off the cogs is definitely the go to strat here cause it’s always faster haha as for how to do it its basically always stick to the right
@@Bayesic sorry, I meant the vertical cogs at the start finish line :)
Got my time down a fair bit last night, but need to learn the clock hands cuts now
@@TheCurlyP ooooh haha. It’s basically to trick as low as possible. Should have gone over in the video but you basically need to just clip them with the corner of your kart to get a low trick, but the problem is that doing that after coming off of the shortcut is very tricky and precise
The intro gameplay might be mine because I use toad biddybuggy and azure rollers. MAYBE
Haha nah I just saw the toads on the side of the track and was like well I’ll just use him for the intro xD
Lol
Sneed
baby track😐 also hi
This is exactly why I shortened the recommended build section in my most recent videos. Because 99% of them for 150cc are like “ Waluigi tryhard build unless you’re going for world record in which case used baby daisy” lol
@@Bayesic yeah lol, the baby strats on this track are like the most technical things ever to learn and put together
the ds version is much better, probably worst retro map in this game
rTTC is annoying lmao
Amen
