in the original, the echoed voices are an issue because of the surround audio option which is by default, most people played on a stereo setup. If you change the audio to stereo there is no more echoe.
So part of the voice's weird sound isn't just because it's coming from multiple channels, it's because the voices have some phasing going on. While Stereo removes some of that sound, and mono further helps, the voice lines still have an unnatural phasing to them not present in the raw file or remaster voice lines. However, yes that is a good recommendation
My biggest issue is honestly with the new character models in Eternal Wings. I wish they had just reworked the shaders. If they went to the trouble of creating new models I would at least expect them to look all around better, but for me they just look... different and I actually liked the old style more. In Origins I can see a clear upgrade without the style changing too much.

A few weird instances for the patches beyond that have been noted, but I haven't tried playing through with it yet. (I'll probably do it for my new game plus, because yes, many, MANY things are bugged, especially the finshers, and especially Lyude's in particular.) Yes, some of the dialogue doesn't match with the spoken lines, but it's been so minor I struggle to believe that's the actual reason for the lack of dub :/ Anyway, look it up if you're interested! They even fixed the echoy voices (which only happened for a portion at the beginning of the game, not through the entire game to begin with, I'm pretty sure?) If memory serves, the voices actually sound fine if you stick the sound on mono, so it wasn't a recording issue. And as annoyed as I still am by the lack of the official release for the English dub, I'm delighted this got a remaster as it's been one of my favorite games since it's original release
Also--- not sure if the mod did this as well or what exactly is going on, but my item names are the originals, and Mizuti's dialogue is also clearly their original (or close enough to it.) Because changing assets and resolution can surprisingly break a lot of things, not to mention even getting these games to run on noticeably newer engines so you can even start working on them. But releasing remasters with noticeably more bugs than the original... is still ironic.
@JJKMagic You'd think with a new more powerful engine that they'd be able to take an old game and just make it look a little better, maybe add a couple of things, and then smack that shit onto a new engine and it'd be fine. It's weird how just trying to make a game look better can break stuff. If that's the case though, they need to give those games a bit more time before release so they can just fix those bugs

And this is even weirder when the game doesn't even ask you gender in english. Atrocious, to say the least.
EDIT: I'm aware of singular They/Them, but this doesn't apply to the main character, since he's clearly male. Ironically, if they had left the option to choose your gender as the japanese version, this choice of pronouns would make total sense, since they wouldn't need to edit the script according to the gender of the MC.
Oh look, we found the dude who got mad at Starfield having they/them pronounces.
they/them can also be used if there's no specified gender. you're making something out of nothing here, I'm afraid.
@@Kriseiri the gender is pretty much specified here.
@@sollato0293 your sole argument is to project like this? Jeez I had better discussions before with people who I completely disagreed with.
And I have no idea why you're being so defensive about it, since I put my point in a very neutral way. If you don't like people having different opinion than yours, show better arguments or I don't know, shut yourself in you wardrobe and wait everyone else in the world to die.
If a person can learn a new language, I don't think it's very far-fetched to think they can learn how singular they/them works.
They rewrote dialogues... And completely cut off the English dub because of it.
That's a very special kind of bad.
Won’t buy this until it’s less than $20
Not the pronouns comments 😭😭😭touch grass please it's just grammar
I’m making all the characters canonically non binary as punishment. They all go by they/them now.
Gladbi went straight to the comments, im not watching this video anymore if he's going to complain about stupid meaningless shit💀
Heres my take on the gender option, which i am really disappointed they removed: JUST ADD GENDER NEUTRAL LMFAO
Its really not that hard if the dialogue could be changed from he/him to she/her. This isnt even a “cant please everybody” situation, its literally such an easy addition/fix
Also will forever be bitter for them removing the ages, english dub, and dialogue. They could have tweaked the sexist ones, but still included the conversations (i dont even remember if there were any thanks to the removal). It fucks with the memory for old fans and its hard to tell what we’ve missed 😔
Also the alcohol and religious imagery removal is ridiculous. I mean, they still kept the gang in eternal wings nailed to crosses LMFAO
Sometimes there are things you mustn’t touch (because they dont need to be fixed)
No dub no buy
How did this channel gathered so many bigots goddamn, its like i woke up in 2018
Men can't get pregnant and non-binary is fake, sorry.
Keep projecting, tourist.
@@NukeA6 thanks for the compliment

@@Dancinglemon I could care less how fragile you are.
I was close to buying the remasters then I saw all these garbage 'modern audience' changes. Keep hiring ideologically impaired localisers for these games, you won't be getting anywhere near as many sales as you want
Who cares
